2025 Pelicans Rookie Tour | New Orleans Pelicans

we got jeremiah derek and micah we’re taking them on a tour of new orleans trying to cover a bunch of different neighborhoods and spots throughout the city
some of the places we went were marty gro world where they got to see where the floats are made for marty gr we kind of went the bridge

we’ve just arrived at parkway tavern one of the more historic poboy spots in the city we’re going to eat we’ve got the players families with us
so i got the shirt poboy with some fries i had to rate it two
gumbo’s pretty good so out of out of 30 24 23 out of 30

all right and from here we’re going to go to studio b in the by water we’re going to meet up with b mike famous new orleans artist he’s going to talk to us a little about new orleans culture pre and post katrina black history in new orleans and show us how the art has stemmed from that in this city
but we were like children of new orleans we were like “okay this was what left what was left behind we’re going to turn it into something better.” so i painted him as new orleans noah on his hoodie it says baptize in the levies bro mine’s about to be art it’s about to be art i did a little simple approach you know what i’m saying i’m different i like this little something different
i want to get the bottom too bro
they got a job we understand in this city that we have to be our own cheerleader many times and so i believe that when people are cheering on for y’all they’re also cheering for this city because they know that so many people ruled us out a long time ago
so i appreciate y’all spending time in making this stop and i appreciate y’all being a part of this city and from there we’re going to go to congo square we’re going to be introduced to baba luther and the historic congo square drum circle where some say jazz was founded in louis armstrong park
we’re at congo square this is tma this is one of the original and oldest black neighborhoods in the united states
it’s always important to pay homage to our ancestors everyone take your right hand and put it on your left heart the heart of your ancestor your of your family but so that’s what the rhythm is all about it’s about the heartbeat and we right here you look straight down this is where we were brought off the ships into this area and this is this is very very very significant spot we’re in all a a fun a fun awa a awa a a

Pelicans rookies Jeremiah Fears, Derik Queen and Micah Peavy experienced New Orleans with tours of Mardi Gras World, StudioBe, and Congo Square in addition to sampling cuisine at Parkway Tavern & Bakery and a welcome dinner at Desi Vega’s.
