The Suns ROBBED the NBA… AGAIN

the Phoenix Suns just robbed the NBA again and they are the clear winners here of the 2025 NBA draft and many would call them the winners of the 2024 draft with their selections of Ryan Dunn and Oso Gdaro and how they were able to maneuver back and forth up those leaderboards but they did it once again and struck gold in a great shot creator and score that’s going to fit amazing into Jordan A system and what he wants to do for this reinvision and retool so not only just that it brings up the optimism of what the Suns can do for this retool right we still know they have some tradable contracts still have some things that they need to work on so we’re going to be diving in and exploring all of that and how that really affects the Phoenix Suns going into today’s episode here on Suns Digest i am Bruce Veles and the Suns finished up their draft here they did like I said move up a lot here in the draft but with their final selection here at pick 41 it does seem like at this moment of recording that they are going to be done for the night gambo did kind of just sign off here on Twitter as now I’m recording so with that being said does look like with these two selections the Suns are going to be bringing in some nice young players and a nice little core here around Darren Booker so we’re going to break down discuss what’s going to be going on with this Suns team and like I mentioned we want to stay up to date as there’s going to be news flying left and right with this Suns team as there already has been so much today but not only just that in today’s moment but in future days with free agency and even more trades coming up you definitely want to be subscribed so hit that subscribe button and let me know your thoughts on the Suns draft here what would you guys give it as a letter grade without further ado like I mentioned let’s dive in and let’s explore this because I think this was an absolutely amazing day if you’re a Phoenix Suns fan I know I’m part of team optimism i’ve always been part of team optimism here over on Suns Digest but that’s just the way I like to think with things right you always got to give the person their credit until they prove you wrong and I know that on paper we do see these moves and we all reacted like this similar with Brady Beal and other moves here so we have to see how it all does fold out on the court but so far from looking at the moves from the Phoenix Suns as a fan I am absolutely astonished at what Brian Gregory and this new regime has been able to accomplish over these last couple of hours and days here to kind of reshape this roster and not only I think is it me but other Phoenix Suns fans media members and stuff but people on the outside as well are very very looking key at what the Suns are doing to kind of reshape their stuff for everything so yes let’s dive in and let’s explore what the Phoenix Suns did today as like I mentioned they made some moves we already broke down in our previous video who they did select here with pick 31 and how they got to that pick so if you want to check that out definitely look at that video rashir Fleming a nice little forward/big but the Suns then select at pick 41 guard Kobe Brea coming out of Kentucky and if you’re not a Kobe Brea fan I’m going to make you one by the end of this video because if you did not know I’m a huge Kentucky guy i’ve been a big fan ever since I was a little kid they were the team that got me really alongside the Phoenix Suns into the NBA they were my college team growing up and even though I didn’t go to Kentucky still follow the players i’m a big fan of the guys that get drafted for their team i’m still looking out at this moment of recording once again amari Williams the center that was in the draft class for them has still not gotten drafted so I’m keeping a key eye on him but I’m always a big fan of the Kentucky players and where they do end up and a guy in Kobe Ber was someone that I was hoping would land to a team that either was I was a fan of or someone that I didn’t really hate so I could root for him and luckily he fell right to the Phoenix Suns so what does Kobe Brea bring and why did the Suns draft Kobe Brea as multiple reports suggested from Gambo that the Suns were going to potentially take a player in either Tyrese Proctor or a player in Chaz Laneir at the guard position chaz Laneir got selected at pick 37 by the Pistons so when Proctor was presented in front of their face they decided to go out of that way and lean with a guy in Kobe Brea so why did they go with that well for multiple reasons and I’ll explain why once again if you have not watched any of his film please go into Kobe Brea’s game and please watch it he had a exceptional March Madness tournament hitting some big time shots and I think that’s something that the Suns are going to prioritize here not only just that the p the fact that he is an exceptional shooter my boy Brandon Dwanus over from Bright Side of the Sun let us know that he’s not an expert on Kobe Brea but one thing he does know is that he can shoot the cover off the ball as a 6’6 sniper jonathan Gavone from Draft Express let us know that he is the fast the best shooter in college basketball and for the fact that he shot three pointers at a 47% clip this season is absolutely exceptional while also on the move and keeping his feet set at 67 kevin O’Connor gave the praise for the Suns and Malawatch Fleming and Brea as this draft class has been a big-time success for the Suns all three guys have skill sets that allow them to stick in the NBA with Malawak’s rim impact Fleming’s 3 andD style and Brea’s shooting skill he’s really impressed by Phoenix and also my guy Keith Smith over from the front office show and writer of Spot Track also said he’s an elite shooter now obviously the Suns do still have them holes like you mentioned they have 875 guards on this roster but I do believe that with Brea kind of coming in this only not only signals some things but also puts the movement for the Phoenix Suns here with still keeping some young guards and keeping some offense but like who Perold mentioned no way Kobe Rya can’t break out in the NBA he’s 66 shoots the cover off the ball and he is exceptional at shooting threes there’s a clip of him shooting threes where he had no misses for two minutes straight and we all know the shooting clips in the gym what that really means for the Phoenix Suns right it’s not really a sign a tellt telltelling tale but the fact that he shot 37% from three-pointer in college is an ex is viewed as the best shooter in the draft class should be something that you should be very very excited on if you’re a Phoenix Suns fan now obviously like I mentioned they do have a bunch of those guards here in that room but we did discuss already on this channel that they are potentially looking to get off Grayson Allen in a deal they are looking to get rid of Bradley Beal on this roster via trade or a buyout so that hole will obviously be filled up but having a guy in Kobe Brea a 66 guard a 66 guard who’s a little bit older as well I think can really fit into this son’s uh new regime and and be an impact player kind of right away in college in the March Madness tournament as well he had some big time shots that he made he’s one of those guys where he’s not fearful to take that last shot and for someone on the Suns team that you know played with random offense last year with Mike Benhenhoer these are the type of guys you want to bring into your system i think he had one of the more confident jump shots and one of was one of those guys similar to a guy like in Walter Clayton where you’d give that ball to and trust him to take that final shot and make take you to that victory and a guy like Kobe Brea fitting into that in Phoenix is going to be great not only just that like I mentioned went to Kentucky who is the Suns number one player franchise leading scorer plays a very similar role as a shot creator and scorer off the dribble devin Booker and where did he go kentucky wow the Phoenix Suns are striking gold they get a guy who can mentor him be a great great leader and kind of give him not only having that connection of being an alum but also being a very similar archetype kind of teaching him the ways to develop into being a key impact player for the Phoenix Suns then you look at the center department as well getting those big men from the Duke and Mark Mark Williams and Kam Malawatch who share a similar profile as well kind of fit in what Jordan might want to be doing with his bigs similar to his Cleveland build where he was just last season the Suns are not only identifying pieces to change their roster and fix holes that they have like defensive rim pressure and scoring off the bench but they’re also finding guys that can be those replacements that have connections to players already on their team which is going to be great for mentorship and leading these guys into this little bit of a retool especially if the Suns want to make it a little bit of a fast one as well to get them confident and ready to go i really really love what the Phoenix Suns are doing you know me like I mentioned team optimism all the way i haven’t counted out Brian Gregory and I still obviously can’t rule this to not be a A+ right away because the Phoenix Suns could you know in my opinion have all these great hopefuls and then it just fall apart right in front of their face but in my opinion so far from looking what I see on paper this is absolutely amazing and for the Phoenix Suns before we sign off looking at their new ramped roster right haven’t released this tweet but I am going to you kind of factor what they got for Kevin Durant right they have Devin Booker they have Dylan Brooks they have uh Jaylen Green they have Rashier Fleming who they drafted they have Kobe Brea who they drafted they have Kam Malawatch who they drafted they have Ryan Dunn and they have Mark Williams those eight guys seemingly feel like they’ll be on the roster and not only just that they have to fill those seven roster spots with still having five guys that they potentially could trade right nick Richards with his little bit of a weird salary it is cheap could they still keep him that could still make sense because Mark Williams does have some injury issues but do you want to invest all that into the center and have four centers with OSO and kind of limit his growth that’s a big question mark you also have Brady Beal who most likely will not be like on this roster next season regardless if it’s via trade or via buyout regardless of that that kind of maneuvers how the Suns are going to be able to take assets back and how many players they can also bring in to this team and then only then Grayson Royce maybe even Cody Martin those kind of contracts as well it’s definitely key to keep your eye on those pieces because the Suns look like they have seven or eight of their core roster guys going into next year but still have the flexibility to add to that and add even more depth and not have you know a team where you have a top end eight nine roster with veteran minimums at the end with guys that are just flaky guys that can fill in for injury you have a deep roster that can go 10 11 12 and if those injuries do persist you can still have some confidence in your team really stepping up and delivering i really really like this pick for the Phoenix Suns let me know your thoughts down below in the comments section let me know how you guys ultimately feel about this pick and how you feel about the NBA draft like I said got to give Brian Gregory flowers and we’ll see what the Suns can do more going into the next couple of days of free agency and those more trade rumors kind of sparking up because there still are moves needed to be making with the Suns as they still try to maneuver and get underneath that apron so I’ll be keeping our eyes on that let me know your thoughts down below in the comments section and how you guys feel about the draft i’ll catch you guys in the next one have a great rest of your day and go Phoenix Suns peace out everyone

  1. I'll give the draft an A and our luck an A+
So far they have more than addressed most of our needs and we still have free agency.
I think most of the guys we drafted can play meaningful minutes in the NBA.
We have players competing for minutes again which is kind of a must for team building.
I was inches away from selling my tics for the season, I don't think I will now.

  2. Suns were unwatchable last season. I'll watch a team play gritty defense and play with heart, that's all I'm asking for up front.

  3. I would like to trade Beal but I don’t wanna trade him for nothing or add a pick to get rid of him.

We need to take our L in that wizards trade and make the most out of Beal let him come off the bench be a backup combo guard let him be 6th man of the year. 19 6 and 5
