Uh following Phil Jackson’s departure in 2017, uh Perry traded away all-star forwards Carmelo Anthony later that year. Uh traded away Chrisaps Porzingis uh in 2019. Uh they signed Julius Randall. He picked RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Emanuel Quickley, Quinton Grimes, Nobby Toppen. Um there were a lot a flurry of moves that came very very um very quickly. Now there are some people that say, “Well, they’re freeing up this money. They don’t spend it.” Well, we’re going to we’re going to look and it’s SC, you know, we’re going to look to see if they spend it.

Um but it it’s incredibly early to judge from the 916. People were upset that Monty McNair wasn’t aggressive enough. Barry’s not going to stand still and wait to evaluate players for seasons, good or bad.
