And Shruder just signed with his 10th NBA team and officially has one of the weirdest careers I can think of. He signed with the Kings of free agency, which makes him a member of a very exclusive club. He’s one of seven active players to be on double digit teams and one of only 23 in history to do so. Since October of 2024, he’s been traded four times and been on six teams. During trade deadline time, he was technically on four teams in 48 hours. The last team was the Pistons, where he was happy. He said he wanted to stay.
Yeah, I want to stay in Detroit for show. Detroit ain’t waiting for me. I can tell you that much.
Free agency came and they weren’t trying to pay up, which brings him to his sixth team in less than 365 days, the Kings. But the good news is this is a great deal for him. 3 years, 45 million. Look, NBA journeymen aren’t rare, but Shruder just feels so underrated. The guy is genuinely good and has been passed around the league like a hot potato. Hopefully Sacramento can be the place that he stays.

  1. I wonder why that is, usually after 5-7 teams it’s because your a selfish a hole like Chris Paul KD and James harden all selfish a holes

  2. I really liked him on my Warriors. Of course, you can't turn down the chance to trade for Jimmy Butler.

But glad he's getting a multi-year contract and with my "2nd home team", the Kings.
