Dan Patrick: Losing Haliburton, Finals And Now Myles Turner A Tough Pill For Pacers Fans | 7/1/25

if I’m a Pacer fan I’m proud that we went to the NBA finals we took the champions to seven games but we lost Tyrese Hallebertton if you win the title and you lose Tyrese Hallebertton and now you lose Miles Turner you go “Okay at least we won a title.” Boy this is tough no Hallebertton for most of the season and now you lose Miles Turner to a rival in the Milwaukee Bucks that’s a bad off season it’s a bad off seasonason we just started July i like what Milwaukee did they upgraded brook Lopez goes to the Clippers you get Miles Turner four-year deal you’re going to wave Dame Lillard you might have the tallest point guard in the history of the NBA Giannis he might play point i don’t know who else you got who’s going to start as your point guard there but it it might be Giannis but if you had won the title then at least you go “Okay we’ll accept that we got our title.”

  1. They should pull a Spurs and try to tank this upcoming season and get a high draft pick.

  2. We lost nothing with Turner. We need a center that plays big. Bucks can have his clanking 3s and rebounds slipping out of his hands.

  3. Being a pacer fan who lives in Indianapolis. We will be all right I like where miles have done for us but it's time to move on for both parties

  4. I mean, we kinda figured the Pacers would lose the Finals after that injury. I think most logical fans looked at next season as more of an evaluation type of season. I’m hoping that it’s either one where the team gets a great draft pick or where the team makes a great run in the playoffs. It can’t be another one of barely missing the playoffs. The Colts do that, so we can have both teams doing it. I don’t know who is a draft prospect, but I do know it probably wasn’t worth keeping Turner if you were going over the luxury tax and spending a year or two for Haliburton to get back to form. It’s better to get young when you can. Just look at OKC. Their big 3 are all young. Turner might be great with 3&D but you don’t need that from a center.

  5. As a Pacers fan you're assuming a down year next year but that can still be a platyoff berth. Hali getting hurt like that in the last game of the year is debilitating. Basketball Gods are as$&÷les.

  6. Losing Myles is fine.

He's an average center that is on the downside of his playing days.

Hali out next season. Probably means a down year with a good draft pick coming… trade that for a good center. Hali come back in 26 wirh a good center on this team… team will be better off.
