The Eastern Conference is About to be a CHAOTIC MESS

yo what’s going on y’all it’s Con and the Eastern Conference next season is about to be one of the most wideopen conferences I’ve ever seen it is going to be the definition of a confusing mess a tossup and it really feels like that’s going to be a big catalyst for this potentially being one of the most insane off seasons we’ve ever seen for those 15 teams out east because when you think about it who is going to win that conference next season obviously coming into this year the favorites were the Boston Celtics they won the championship last season did it in dominant fashion most people expected them to do it again and it felt like that was what was going to happen at least that was my prediction pretty much the entire season before the year I said Celtics Thunder going into the playoffs I said it’s going to be Celtics Thunder but they lose in the second round pretty convincingly to the New York Knicks and you can talk about the Jason Tatum injury and all that but the Knicks were pretty clearly the better team so even if the Celtics were healthy and still themselves going into next season that would be a big tossup but now Jason Tatum is not playing at all next year after the Achilles injury and it’s not just that they got rid of Drew Holiday they’ve gotten rid of Christophs Porzingis Jaylen Brown and Dererick White are in trade rumors and I don’t expect either of them to get dealt but right now what is the starting lineup for the Celtics next season it’s probably Pton Pritchard Dererick White maybe Anthony Simons instead of Pton Pritchard he’s still somewhere in there and it sounds like they might even flip him it’s Jaylen Brown it’s probably like George Niang or Sam Hower who is going to be their center i don’t know at this point is it Al Horford who’s almost 40 is it Xavier Tilman luke Cornet the Celtics are not going to be competitive and I think that’s their goal they don’t want to be competitive because it feels like if they could get a top tier talent or a top tier pick to trade for an upgrade talent with Tatum coming back after next season that is the best route for them to be successful and obviously to also make things better salary capwise which they’ve absolutely done by trading away KP and Drew Holiday so Celtics not really a factor like they have been pretty continuously over the last what like 7 years or so and then you talk about the Indiana Pacers who were in the NBA finals and gave my Oklahoma City Thunder a hell of a series and it felt like they probably were going to be the favorites to be back here because now there’s no excuse saying “Oh they’re only in the conference finals because they got lucky.” This time they went to a game seven of the NBA finals pretty clearly the Pacers are the real deal but then towards the beginning of game one Hallebert and Terrace’s Achilles and that throws everything out for the Pacers next season they’re still going to be good there’s still great depth with Seiakum and Nehard and Nith and TJ McConno is a demon apparently and Miles Turner is sounding like he’s going to be back but none of that matters if they don’t have Tyrese Hallebertton the Pacers cannot win the Eastern Conference they cannot compete without Hallebertton who’s likely out all of next season because he tore Achilles at the latest possible point in the year so the Celtics who were the favorites last year out of it the Pacers who would have been the favorites going into next year and the finalists this year out of it so who is it who wins the Eastern Conference now off the bat there are immediately two teams that come to mind the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks the Cavs this past season won 64 games they were up there in the conversation it felt like it was likely going to be Celtics Cavs but they lose round two to the Indiana Pacers and a lot of that was injury garland definitely not himself dealing with that toe injury which sounds like might keep him out the beginning of next season as well uh Evan Mobley Jared Allen Donovich like almost everybody was banged up in some way or another for that Cavaliers team and that’s not the sole reason they lost the Pacers i just think Indiana was better but it definitely prevented the Cavs from reaching their potential peak and also this past season was their first year their first playoff run under Kenny Atinson figuring things out they added DeAndre Hunter at the deadline so now he has more time to get accustomed to this team and as I’m recording this the Cavs just added Lonzo Ball which might signal the end of Tai Jerome’s time in Cleveland or maybe he’s just an insurance policy with Garland going to miss the beginning of the year either way I think Lonzo if he can stay healthy which is a massive for him at this point in his career could be huge for them as an extra guard defender as a playmaker as a guy who when he was last healthy shot over 40% from three i like to pick up a lot and it did feel like Aoro became kind of redundant once DeAndre Hunter came in so already a good move to start off their off season if you ask me who my favorite is going into next season out east it does feel like the Cleveland Cavaliers but as we saw in the playoffs they’re definitely not invincible by any means and also towards the end of last season they faltered a little bit especially on the defensive end so are there holes in this team that over the course of another 82game season could start to pop up a little bit more like they popped up in the playoffs and maybe that prevents them from making the run that I think they can and then we go to the New York Knicks who were in the conference finals they pushed the Indiana Pacers to six games and looked really good way better than I was expecting against the Boston Celtics jaylen Brunson is a superstar level talent cat had one of the best seasons of his career and now they’re going to go into next season with more continuity in terms of the roster now I will say they still don’t have a head coach and I don’t know what the new team is going to look like but maybe they’ve bring in a new head coach who can better optimize these talents and make it all click because while I did feel weird about them firing Tom Tibido after one of their most successful seasons ever it did feel like the offense was nowhere near dynamic enough at times and defensively there were some question marks i did have question marks about the way that Tibs coached that team so maybe the new head coach comes in with continuity in the roster and maybe they make a move or two in the offseason i do think they need to add depth guys who can actually contribute off the bench or maybe it’s just growth from like Pomeier and Tyler Kle i I don’t really know what the answer is there but it does feel like the Knicks have a realistic shot so is it Cavs Knicks in the conference finals they’re the two favorites but I feel like it’s so much more open than that and a lot of it comes from potential moves that teams could make one of them has already made a big move in the Orlando Magic who last season went 41 and 41 despite a million games missed from Paulo from Fron from Jaylen Suggs their three most important players and then in the playoffs against the Celtics they were very clearly flawed still without Jaylen Suggs but they didn’t really have that much shooting but showed that they were very very talented and now they had Desmond Bane who is one of the league’s best shooters a big-time offensive weapon to play off of Paulo and Fron and Jaylen Suggs and he’s not this phenomenal defender but he’s not going to really hurt that identity that is a hyper talented top four players if you ask me with this defensive identity with a little bit more offensive juice that could also come from a potential jump from Paulo Beno who looked ridiculous before his injury last season as well as France Vagner who had some monster games before his injury if those two guys improve and click a little bit more with the addition of Desmond Bane who will open things up and especially if they had a little bit more shooting I don’t think it’s unrealistic at all to say that the Magic could make a run in the East next season and if it really all works out I wouldn’t be the most shocked in the world if the Magic in the NBA finals next season at the very least in the conference finals and that’s what I’m talking about with this conference we also have to take a look at Atlanta who I have continuously been really liking the moves that they’ve made i mean Dyson Daniels was awesome this past season mip all defensive player zachary Reach had a super underrated rookie season jaylen Johnson was looking like an all-star before his injury you know Trey Young I believe is underrated he’s one of the best offensive point guards in the entire sport anya Kongu showed a little bit and now they had Chris Porzingis this off seasonason who I think is going to be big for them obviously he’s got to play games and KP doesn’t always play games but if he can be out there giving Trey Young that level of a pick and pop threat who is still a lob threat who can block shots at the rim I feel like they’re going to be hyper dynamic as a duo he’s a lot better of a fit in my opinion than Clink Capella was ever with Atlanta if you get Jaylen Johnson playing at last year’s level or he could even take a jump more improvement from your first overall pick last season and Dyson Daniels and they’ve got some interesting stuff going on with the bench i do still think they need to add depth pieces but like I like Ace New a lot that draft pick for them in the 20s i think the Atlanta Hawks are in an unbelievable position to be this next maybe Cinderella team after the Pacers made that run i think a lot of teams out east are looking at that and the openness of the conference and saying we could be that team next season and I feel like Atlanta almost fits that mold with this great offensive point guard who’s not a great defender now Hallebertton’s a better defender than Trey Young but if you can get him to just buy in and give as much effort as possible then maybe the Hawks are the team to make a run out east that’s another team you tell me they’re in the conference finals next season I’m not even that shocked it’s a shame that Damen Lillard is injured because if he was healthy like with again with how open this conference is I feel like the Bucks with a couple of moves could have a chance but there’s also the possibility still that Giannis gets dealt feels unlikely at this moment but report from Shams is he’s watching their draft or he watched their draft and is watching them in free agency and if Giannis gets moved if it’s to somebody else out east that massively changes the power dynamic as well or if he goes out west and obviously that changes everything there too but it opens up even more room in the Eastern Conference because just with Giannis the Bucks are going to win some games we talk about the Detroit Pistons who were 44 and 38 they’re gonna get Jay Nyvy back next season or maybe they trade him in some other pieces to improve to add some type of highlevel player it feels like there are legit guys on the market that could change everything for the Pistons you get Kade to number two and Assar Thompson jumps a little bit and Jaylen Duran like all these young guys that showed so much promise and you make it a little bit easier on Kate Cunningham as your league guy like they pushed the Knicks who again went to the conference finals to six games is it crazy to say the Pistons end up in the conference finals next season i really don’t think so and I mean Philly like Philly is still there i know a lot of people are out on them i know it was terrible last season they were injured people don’t believe but I’m telling you if there is ever a time for the rest of this process Sixers run led by Joel Embiid that they make it to the conference finals it’s now because I don’t think Paul George is going to be as bad as he was last season i think Joel Embiid if he can stay healthy can have a big bounceback year i love Jared McCain i think he’s going to be awesome in year two tyrese Maxi is really good i really like VJ Edgecom i think they’ve got some good depth pieces quinton Grimes bringing him back after a monster season i think Janai Broom is a fine draft pick that they went with as well i know a lot of people are haters of him but I think he could legitimately be helpful for them they still have contracts they can use to move pieces around with Andre Drummond and Kelly Ubé and they still have Eric Gordon’s money and Kyle L like they have so much money that they can move around they still have some assets to make moves i don’t know i feel like if Embiid looks like his MVP self next season what is stopping the Philadelphia 76ers from winning the Eastern Conference what is stopping them from finally making a conference finals or at least being one of those upper echelon teams in the East and that was a team that was 13th in that last season and they could take that type of jump you’ve got the Heat who I don’t think are going to be very good but they’re always kind of annoying scrapply competitive you’ve got the Washington Wizards who now have CJ McCollum and Chris Middleton and Marcus Smart some decent veterans and I really like the young core they’re building if they get some jumps from guys i mean they could be a playing team next season i’m not even going to be shocked uh Chicago I really don’t know what’s happening with them but they were playing team last year they could be in that position again toronto is a complete anomaly in my head i have no idea what they’re going to look like with Quickly and Barrett and now Brandon Ingram in the fold and they’ve got Scotty Barnes still in Yaka like this is a really talented team just on paper how does it all fit with these young players under Darko i I really have no idea they just got rid of Messiah UI right before I’m recording this video that was a stunner uh Brooklyn’s going to be bad they’re going to be probably the worst team in the Eastern Conference if I had to guess hornets if they can get guys on the court that’s always a big what if but they could be somewhat competitive with LaMelo and Brandon Miller and Kona Nipple I think is a great connector they don’t really have a center right now i mean they drafted Krener is that their solution because they also have Nerkage but I I think they need a better big if you ask me but regardless just a lot of talented teams in this East in a conference that is maybe more wide open than any I’ve seen in all my years i don’t know who’s going to win the Eastern Conference if you ask me to pick now I would say the Cavaliers then probably the Knicks and then maybe the Sixers i mean I think the Sixers with a healthy Joel Embiid and Paul George looking somewhat decent might even be my number two there’s a world where over the course of this summer I convinced myself the Sixers are going to win the East and I’ve done that in the past but this would be maybe the the boldest one that I ever went with i don’t know i really don’t know what to think about this Eastern Conference it is so so fascinating to me and so if you start to see I mean we’ve already seen the Desmond Bane trade we’ve seen Chris Porzingis if you start to see a lot more moves out east do not be shocked and it could be moves where you’re like why is this team in the middle of the pack making that acquisition it’s because the conference is so open like if you see Detroit at somebody you’re like why it feels like they’re so far away from contention i mean you just like they win a few more games and they’re in the conference finals and now the Pacers and the Celtics are out of it so why not go for it right now why not try and make things interesting i think there’s no reason not to i mean with the Pacers when they made the Seakum trade there are a lot of people who are like ah but this doesn’t make them in contenders or anything and then they became contenders over time so I just think this is the prime moment for Eastern Conference teams to buy on talent if I see teams out east just start buying on talent left and right i’m not going to hate on it i’m not going to be like why are they making that move unless they give up a lot of pieces and that’s part of why I like the Desmond Bane acquisition even though they gave up a lot it’s cuz with Desmond Bane on this team if they click the way I think that they can that could be a conference finals team that could be an NBA Finals team in Orlando and then if whoever comes out the other side of the bracket deals with a couple of injuries or has some bad games suddenly you could put yourself in position to win a finals all you have to do is get there and you at least have a chance so those are my thoughts on the Eastern Conference right now uh I’ve been meaning to make this video and I finally got some time to go ahead and do so now that the draft is wrapped up and you know the NBA finals are over we’re heading into for agency here in a few days again expect big moves for these East teams i don’t think anybody out east is just done and going to stand pat especially when you talk about some of those upper echelon squads it’s the perfect moment to go ahead and make a move and I think we’re going to see a lot of them if you want chaos this off season look out east um I appreciate you watching leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed hit the notification bell so you don’t miss out on future videos i’ll see you all later oh let me know who out east you think could be this sleeper team if somebody pops off the way that the Pacers did who do you think it could be would love to hear your thoughts on that but again I appreciate watching i’ll see youall later ruin say back

The 2025 season is over but the 2025 offseason is fully underway. The NBA Draft has wrapped but free agency is right around the corner and the Eastern Conference looks like it could change drastically. The Boston Celtics have dealt Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis already with Jayson Tatum out next season. The Indiana Pacers are the reigning East champions but Tyrese Haliburton will miss all of next year too. It feels like this is the chance for teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the New York Knicks, the Orlando Magic, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Detroit Pistons, amongst others like the Milwaukee Bucks, to make a push or a jump in the conference. This could lead to a lot of chaos this offseason and heading into the year. Let’s talk about it.

  1. Saying the celtics wont be at least “competitive” next year is an outrageous take. The charlotte hornets are not competitive do not compare a brad stevens created team to the bottom of the league

  2. Celtic – Hurt, Defensive identity gone (except derreck white for now)

Pacers – hurt, wont shoot that hot from 3 again

Pistons – a few moves away, not a real threat yet. Dont be surprised if they are one by the deadline tho

Knicks – need a good coach

    Bucks – hurt and trash

    Bulls – trash

    Raptors – trash

Hawks – Porzingis will play 10 games. Without him, they are mid. Not a threat, wont be a threat.

    Wizards – trash

76ers – guaranteed to be hurt

    Nets – trash

Hornets – could be a sleeper in the east if Lamelo is healthy. But he is not and will never be

    Heat – trash

That leavs the cavs and the magic.

Donovan Mitchell is cursed so i guess the magic will play thr thunder/warriors/mavericks in the NBA finals??

  3. Sixers definitely will be a top 3 seed next year and will have something to say about being the winner of the east…book it

  4. Jaylen Brown BREAKDOWN you're next video ThreeCone 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

  5. Bold prediction
Pistons win the East beating Hawks in the finals
    Hornets make the playoffs
Cavs, Knicks and Sixers deal with injuries during playoffs
Magic look like favorites until a major injury derails their season in 1st round playoffs

  6. I'm saying 76ers vs KNICKS ECF I think if a big but if embid can be healthy With maxey pg + depth they can make it and knicks just made the ECF and lost to indiana and Indiana is now out of it they can easily make it back I think atleast 7 teams can make the ECF and 4 teams can make the finals it's insane

  7. Knicks are positioned to win the East. With the bucks, Celtics and Pacers short their start players for next season.
