Why the Denver Nuggets traded MPJ for Cam Johnson 🏔️
Cam Johnson is coming over. All they had to give up was Michael Porter Jr. and a first round pick in 2032. I like it for the Nuggets just because we saw how game seven went. But I think this is the Nuggets taking on a little bit of risk here. Cam Johnson is older than Michael Porter Jr. 30 years old by the playoffs to MPJ’s 27. He’s a little bit smaller. He’s a little bit better of a playmaker. Really stretched his game with the Nets last season. They’re maintaining the shooting basically. I like the move.

Quicker, better defender and has the ability to make plays instead of stopping them like mpj. Great move
MPJ can't create his own shot. When Jokic goes to the bench or when Murray is hurt. It was only Westbrook who could get to his spot consistently. MPJ was either catch and shoot or that side step jumper.
Great move for both teams
Cam gives you a slightly more well rounded offensive game and better defense
MPJ on the Nets though could probably up his averages (increasing his value) and that unprotected 1st could be golden down the line. The nets don't want to win and this move is probably a lateral move in that perspective
