THE NEW YORK KNICKS ARE GOING TO SIGN MIKE BROWN AS THEIR NEXT HEAD COACH!?
It is safe to say that the free agency is in full swing because a lot has happened. It started off real slow. We had Josh Hart and some people trolling, but it definitely picked up. We saw big names like Michael Porter Jr. get traded to Brooklyn. Speaking of Brooklyn, we saw Dallas picking up D’Angelo Russell. Oh my god. Get him the out of here. Get him, please.
Black, get him the out of here. Black, please. There’s so many names that I am leaving out and we’re going to talk about. But more importantly for my Knicks fans out there, ladies and gentlemen, the New York Knicks have made some competent moves. New York Knicks picked up a guy that has been tied around the New York Knicks for years at this point. Jordan Clarkson, after being bought out by the Jazz, will officially be a New York Knick. And also picking up your son, Gabelle. I know I’ve said his first name wrong, but it’s going to take me a few days before I get it right. And when it comes to the coaching search, it seems that the Knicks may have already, even though it’s not officially official, it seems like the Knicks already have their man. Mike Brown is set for a second interview. But according to a source very close to me and close to a lot of you guys, it is all but done on who our next head coach is going to be. We’re going to talk about all that coming up right here in this video on the intro. What’s going on CK crew? It’s your boy CK2K and welcome back to another video. If you haven’t already, subscribe to the channel, hit the notification bell. Don’t forget to like this video. People, I know I normally upload on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but because free agency had just come underway, I wanted to wait a few days in hopes that the New York Knicks would have made their choice at head coach. Didn’t happen. They didn’t, but they did make some moves that I do want to talk about in this video. First things first, the New York Knicks have signed Jordan Clarkson to a veteran minimum budget friendly deal. This is a former six-man of the year player right here that has finally made his way to New York. I can’t tell you how long this guy has been tied to the New York Knicks at some point in his career in the last few years. But the New York Knicks successfully bring in another former Los Angeles Lakers after getting Josh Hart. Now we bring in Jordan Clarkson. Unfortunately, we missed on the guy I actually wanted that was a part of that same team, but that’s neither here nor there.
Salty.
Also, Julius Randle. Got shout to Julius Randle who signed a big deal for the Minnesota Timber Rolls. Yeah, but the New York Knicks bring in another great ball handling uh guard. I want to say point guard cuz he’s definitely not a point guard. He’s definitely a shoot first scoring type, one of the best in the NBA. And you know, regardless of the volume of shots or some of the IQ level of some of the shots, what can’t be argued is how good of a scorer he has been throughout his career in the NBA. And to be honest, the New York Knicks definitely need a guy that can come off the bench and find his own offense. As much as I would love to get somebody that is a facilitator, I still would like the Knicks to do that. Maybe Kolic gets a run with whoever our next coach ends up being. It’s nice to know that we have a guy that can sub into the game and become instant offense in the 20, 25, whatever the amount of minutes he gets. And that’s I think that’s something that we cannot take for granted. Also, it helps that he is an upgrade from the guy that he’s probably taking minutes from from last season in campaign. If you’re comparing campaign to Jordan Clarkson, it’s really not that close. And both of them do about the same thing, and that’s chuckup shots. The only difference is hopefully one of them will make him at a higher volume in Jordan Clarkson. But other than that, there’s not much detail to that other than the fact that the New York Knicks with these two signings between Jordan Clarkson and who I’m about to mention, uh we are doing a great job staying underneath that second apron. And that is the biggest key for the New York Knicks. We want to still compete. We still want to be uh definitely a powerhouse in the NBA right now. I would consider this team a championship contender still. And I think we do a good job with that. beefing up our bench, bringing in some veterans, bringing in some more scoring, um, while also still keeping our core intact cuz it’s only year two of figuring out what this full team together will be. And I mentioned Jordan Clarkson, but I also got to talk about our recent signing from yesterday, Gershon Yabuselli. Pretty close. But I like like this pickup. We got him for two years, $12 million. I love the deal. I think it’s I feel like he brings very similarly to what a PJ Tucker possibly could have done a few years back, but except the difference is Yabuelli is going to play. He’s definitely a rotational piece, somebody that can play and will most likely pay. And when we talk about upgrades, as much as, you know, we’ve been on and off with pressure, in my humble opinion, I do believe that Yabuselli definitely has the tools to probably be an upgrade, especially as a veteran. I guess that jury is still out, but I do believe we did upgrade in that position as well. Having Yuelli on the team, I think it’s a very solid pickup, especially for that price point. And again, with the upgrades, we stay where we need to be in this whole apron nonsense.
Apron aprons.
But Jordan Clarkson, Yabiselli, instant guys that are going to be playing. It still comes down to who our coach is going to be and what the rotations look like. But what do you feel about these pickups? Not enough. Expecting more. you’re buying into these rumors and thought that the Knicks didn’t do enough here. Let me know all of the emotions on these pickups. Again, remember this video is being recorded Tuesday, so I’m sure by the time this video is out, we are going to be hearing more news about other things surrounding the New York Knicks, possibly another signing. But speaking of other signings, we’re still keeping our eyes on guys like Landry Sham, which might be a little bit harder to retain now with those two pickups. We did use up the majority of the money that we can to stay where we need to stay. There’s a lot of things that could happen, but looking at guys like Shamid, maybe looking at guys like Don Wright, we don’t know what the New York Knicks are going to do to round out this team, but with a good mixture of veterans and a great mixture of the young guys along with it. I’m a fan of what this team looks like. I feel like our bench is already a lot deeper to start off with, but what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below, my Knicks fans. And now for the head coaching search. Now, you know, there’s been rumors about this person, that person. We know that Taylor Jenkins, Mike Brown are probably the more favored of the head coaching possibilities and Mike Brown had himself a second interview which leads a lot of insiders to believe that he is the favorite. We also saw a conversation about James Burggo getting an interview, Don Staley, and there’s a possibility of other names that are outside of these ones we just named that could still possibly be interviewed in the long run for the New York Knicks. But according to a very close source and somebody that I trust with everything when it comes to these things, New York Knicks CP, the franchise of Knicks Fan TV has put it out as of right now that he truthfully believes all signs are pointing towards Mike Brown officially being the Knicks next head coach. CP tweeted, “Things can change, but barring any major turn of events, Mike Brown is on his way to becoming the 32nd head coach of the New York Knicks.” mentioned a few things that the Knicks want to see in their next head coach, maximizing roster talent, collaborative with the front office. Big emphasis on player development given CBA restrictions. There could be some tips holdovers on the staff, but the Knicks also want a strong staff for Brown to lean on. Time will tell if he’s the man for the job. Now again, nothing is for sure, but when CP puts his mark on something and he is going to put it out there the way he puts it out, there’s something that he knows. So when CP trusts something, I’m going to trust it. But we’re going to wait and see what happens. But if CP’s hunch is true, if what he’s hearing is true, if what we are all hearing to believe where Mike Brown is eventually going to be the Knicks new head coach, probably as soon as today or maybe this week, what says you on this? Now to the three point CP mentioned the front office waited so long on giving the job to anybody or are waiting so long before giving the job to anybody. It is as he mentioned maximizing the roster’s talent which is playing your bench utilizing parts of your bench. If something’s not working bring out another player, not locking into a rotation in November or January. Another big thing is collaborative with the front office. being on the same page, wanting a player, having a conversation, not saying this is what I want or die kind of thing. And last but not least, something that all of us Knicks fans seem to be in agreement with, but Tibs never was. Emphasis on developing future talent. We’re seeing the benefit of putting your stakes into your future talent. Quinton Grimes leaves the New York Knicks and has had himself a nice run in the NBA. RJ Barrett went to Toronto, leading scorer for that team. Uh there’s so many names that have been given up on by the New York Knicks in the recent recent years that have gone on to have great careers and there’s still guys on this team alone that a lot of people believe should have gotten opportunities throughout the regular season from the Kolix to the daddy of the world and now we are going to hopefully get ourselves a head coach that’s going to emphasize that because it is a key in today’s NBA to make your life a little bit easier rather than going out there and searching for the next big fish. You got to hope that with trusting your front office, trusting your scouting team, you can create and get a big fish of your own through your own development. I feel like with the Westchester Knicks, with the G-League, with everything, all the resources that this team has, we have full capabilities of developing on guy and we need a head coach that believes in that same mantra. So, if Mike Brown is the one to check those three boxes and a few other ones, but those three main boxes, I I fullheartedly agree with the New York Knicks on making him the next big coach. As I mentioned though, it’s a tall task to beat anybody coming up after Tom Thibido because whether you hate him or love him, what Tom Thibido did from 2019 up until his firing a few months ago, it’s huge. The New York Knicks were a quote unquote poverty franchise to a lot of people outside the NBA. People looking at the New York Knicks, they tend to still equate the Knicks to losing. Even right now, since we’ve had some phenomenal seasons, people are still having a hard time grasping the concept of the Knicks being good. And Tom Thibido did a great job at getting us up and out of that. But the problem was it felt like mediocrity was going to be the height of Tom Thibido. Now with a Mike Brown or whoever it is, their job now is to elevate that to another level, which is hard to do. I mean, we just came out of the Eastern Conference Finals. We got to hope that whoever the next guy is, it makes it a name. Makes it known that this Knicks team is not only a contender year in and year out, but has the ability to send this Knicks team over the hump. It’s not going to happen overnight, but definitely a step towards that direction, hitting those three marks, as well as competing in the East and going all the way possibly for a championship. It has to be in the cards for this next guy. But there’s a lot of things that we can talk and circle about when it comes to Mike Brown. But what says you? If this report by CP that he is put with confidence on the internet, if it’s true and Mike Brown ends up being the next hire for the New York Knicks, what are your thoughts on that? Do you believe from former opportunities and places he’s been at? Does Mike Brown have that capability in your eyes? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I did want to save more of the free agency talk for a future video. Free agency is still happening. I just want to touch on some of the key points that I feel like are connected to us, but I will do a deeper dive on free agency, what the impacts are, what those teams are going to look like. We’re going to do a a more deeper dive video for that in the future. We have so much offseason left. Uh summer league is starting next week, so we can focus on that later. Right now, I want to get to the nitty-gritty. We also have rumors around Janondo, LeBron James. Are they connected to the Knicks? I feel like those kind of concepts deserve their own video. But just wanted to get into the basic real key things here for today and tomorrow we’re going to talk about some of those other things in depth. So stay tuned for that video if you haven’t already though. Subscribe to the channel, hit the notification bell, don’t forget to like this video, guys. I appreciate you guys’ support. We’re going to have some fun through this off season. Right now it’s about again. I don’t care about ever being first about things. I just want to get the information to you and start the conversation. That’s what I love about these. So, if you haven’t already, let it be known about any part in this video that you want to talk about, what I missed, what you want to talk about, what you feel. Let it all be known in the comments below. And I love going through those comments and having those conversations with y’all. But that’s it for me. I will see you guys tomorrow with another fresh video talking about more of the craziness surrounding the New York Knicks in the NBA in free agency. It’s been your boy CK2K. I’m out of here. Peace. Heat. Heat.

Let's just sign our Coach and focus on Summer League!!
I'm not made with Mike Brown i wanted Bryant but i think the big issue is the assistant Head coach needs to be defensive minded
I really like what as been done until now. I'd really like a center back up to Mitchel next… Mike Brown? Why not, but not my first choice…
Should Rick Brunson have been in the running for HC ?
Man thibs and clarkson would of been nice tho
I didn't want Brown, but I trust Leon Rose 🍊💙🗽
Can we sign n trade precious for another big? Like nick Richard's
I love the Clarkson and Yabusele signings….but Mike Brown? Thibs got us within 2 games of the Finals and replaced him for Mike Brown? I don’t see Brown taking us further than the conference finals. If Thibs had this bench, we’d be a lock for the Finals. Hope I’m wrong about Brown but I don’t see it 🤷🏽♂️
CK2K ✅
I lived long enough to see Mike brown become my coach 😂
I ain't mad at the moves so far 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
I wasn't sold on Mike Brown until I remembered he was the hottest head coaching candidate in the league when he was the lead assistant in Golden State during the dynasty. Pair him with a respected defensive coach and we might be aiight.
You My Ninja Bro… 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Still not sold on Mike Brown. Recibifo from the KOT Blog made the best argument against his hire. I will bite my teeth. But should this fail, It is open season on the Don.
I think it will be Taylor Jenkins
Mike Brown got a second interview but that doesn’t mean anything.
FACTS BRO GREAT SHOW LOL. He’s name haha
RUN THE INTRO
If possible id like to see Delon Wright and MarJon Beauchamp come back.
Love the video! Using Druski as AD was hilarious.
We've already had Brown & he was clearly not good. Now why would you sign Brown if he's worse than Thibs?
damn what happen to the jazz run the intro music? that sht was tuff lol
I want Taylor
Didn't he coach LeBron James? Is this what the Leon Klutch meeting was about?
Yes, Yabusele brings some much-needed enforcement in the paint and has some offensive value. While Clarkson can score and make plays while giving JB some rest. Now if Rose can grab Ben Simmons for the vet minimum this will be a solid FA signing!! Since PJ is gone doesn't that put an extra 3.2 million back into the account? And if so, shouldn't that give them about 6.2 million in cap? P.S. hard pass on Brown bring in Jenkins!!
I trust Leon Rose!!!
Dawn Stale???? Really? SMH
Wish they would've gave Mark Jackson a interview
Hey CK, you look like you’ve lost weight and are looking healthy! Great job man, keep it up! 🎉💪
It's on like donkey Kong next season 😂😂
Haha Knicks are cooked thibs is just a better version of Mike brown his rotations and decisions are terrible. I’m a Knicks/kings fan I watched a lot of both teams play games talyor Jenkins is your best bet.
The 2 signings have already upgraded the bench. Experienced veterans lessen the pressure on the youngsters to be productive immediately. Still need a backup PG and athletic wing. Would like to see Jenkins if going with experienced HC. Brown I get, but he has been fired 3 times? Bryant is still my sleeper
It is nonsense to say Thibs didn't develop talent. He didn't develop rookies, BUT you can't do that and try to rack up wins. You mention RJ Barrett like he developed in Toronto but not in NY, nonsense. Quickley? Deuce? Jericho? How good was Hartenstein considered before coming to NY? What about when he left? When Jalen signed to NYK does anyone remember how the analysts called it an over pay? Has his game grown since the signing? We might be better off without Thibs but people hear ESPN people say nonsense and they echo it because they don't use their brain. Yes, he sat Kolek and Hukporti… so, did you want player development or an Eastern Conference appearance? It was one or the other. You're not the three seed if you give a teenage Dadiet minutes.
free diddy
About TIME Jordan is a knick. We’ve been saying it for so long, especially on your page (aside from me constantly asking about Lauri alongside him here) BUT ITS FINALLY TIME
yerrrr
No brainer. Taylor Jenkins best choice. He is an offensive & defensive minded coach & did a great job with Memphis. Great at developing young players.
Damn Knicks will never win doing boneheaded stuff like this😂
How long before he throw a player under the bus.. Mike brown huh? I dont trust this guy. Hope im wrong man. This is crazy
CK 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
