Miami Heat Rumors After Duncan Robinson Sign & Trade Ft Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Damian Lillard
The Miami Heat made their first move of NBA fright agency, executing a signing trade with the Detroit Pistons, sending Duncan Robinson to Detroit and Simone Fonteio back to Miami. Well, could there be another move coming for Pat Riley and the Heat? We’re going to go through all of the latest rumors around Miami on today’s show. I am your host, Nick Roloff, and it’s a busy rundown. We have to talk about the latest around Andrew Wiggins. Are the Heat actively shopping Terry Rosier and we’ll also dive into a little bit of a Damen Lillard update as well. But make sure you do follow me over on Twitter because boy, we have a lot to talk about over there and here on the show. And if you want heat news before this video and when we make content here, you got to follow me. We’re 15 away from 2,00. We get to 2,000 followers from today’s video. I’ll do a shot on tomorrow’s show. Let’s get into Duncan Robinson now because or excuse me, let’s go Andrew Wiggins first. Mind is on Duncan Robinson. I wish he was still with Miami um to some degree. I do actually. And I do think the Heat and Lakers are talking about Andrew Wiggins, but I think they get something done for Wiggins as well. This has been the team that has been linked to Wiggins the most. And to me, they are desperately looking for a 3 and D wing and Wiggins is the best available. And Sham Shirana talked a lot about what the Lakers could be prioritizing right now. And right before FNC began on June 30th with all the LeBron stuff, Shams report that the Lakers are prioritizing two-year deals right now. They want to have space to offer a max contract in 2027. We’re seeing a moment of truth between LeBron and the Lakers. Well, that’s because LeBron could be an expiring. They could look to trade him. Um, I doubt they gets traded, but the point is is Andrew Wiggins, he’s got a two-year contract. Now, he does have a player option, not this year, but the year after for $30.1 million. And it does feel very likely that he opts into that because Andrew Wiggins is likely not going to be playing better than a $30 million contract. So, Wiggins is under contract for two more years. And if the Lakers are really eyeing 2-year contracts to kind of set themselves for um max slot free agency in 2027, then Wiggins does a lot for them because it solves a problem now, but it also keeps them flexible for the future. The Lakers, there’s no secret what they’re trying to do in the offseason right now. They’re looking to acquire a starting caliber center and a defensive wing to replace Dorian Finny Smith, who signed with the Houston Rockets in NBA Frazz. Obviously, Andrew Wiggins would fill that void perfectly. He would slot into that starting three spot in that roster, be next to Andrew or next to LeBron, next to Austin Reeves, next to Luca Donett. So, they go out and get a center, whether it’s DeAndre Aiden or another one. Then they make a trade for Andrew Wiggins, and that’s a pretty well-rounded starting five if you’re asking me. And we’ll see what their bench ultimately looks like. It keeps them flexible, but also gives them a shot to compete in the West this season. So, predict it for me. Today’s pinned comments, you gave a YouTube ad break. Scroll down and let it play. Will the Heat trade Andrew Wiggins? Type Y for yes. Type N for no. Let me know what your thoughts are on the matter. Well, if the Heat do trade Wiggins to the Lakers, this is what I think a deal could ultimately be. We know the Lakers are not keen on sending a first round pick to Miami or Daltton Connect, at least to this point. We’ll see if that changes. And we know it’s likely being offered from LA. just expirings and Rihachi Moa and Gabe Vincent. Those match up to $29 million in contract. Wiggins is at 28. The Heat could take $1 million in because they are still underneath the luxury tax by about 5 million. But that pick swap is what is interesting to me. The Heat like want a first round pick with Dolan Connect. I don’t know if they’ll get it, but if they compromise on a deal, they can get a 2028 first round pick swap from the Lakers, which they get to choose if they want to swap it or not, obviously. But they could also use that as a trade potentially in the future. Like they could offer that swap to a different team that might view the Lakers situation a little bit differently. And if the Heat did make this move or even if they just traded Andrew Wiggins for Ruia Moore and Vincent, they would either need to wave or reroute someone. Why? Because the Heat are at the max 15 roster spots right now. after that Duncan Robinson signing trade where they got Simon Fonteio back. They have 15 standard contracts and it’s a little bit of a bummer that they’re at 15 because I would have liked to see them have more flexibility to sign a free agent or make a trade where they take more players back in a deal. So, it makes it a little bit harder now to execute trades going forward because you can’t take more players back and you have to send more players out. And I don’t know what type of trades are out there where you’re sending more players than you’re receiving at this point. Let’s move over from Andrew Wiggins to Terry Rosier. What is the latest on the guard that we know Miami is trying to trade? Well, that is the latest report. There are reports out there from Five Reason Sports Network that the Heat are actively shopping Terry Rosier on the trade market. That should be music to heat fans ears. It does create a little bit of a more difficult trade though because if people know you’re actively shopping him, the return or what you will have to attach to Terry Rosier to get off of him is going to be a little bit more than if you weren’t actively trading him. But the point is this, thank goodness they are trying to move off of him. I will say this though, when it comes to Terry Rosier in a potential trade, I do not want to attach a lot of assets to get rid of Terry Rosier because he is an expiring 26.6 million and it would be bad management of your draft capital if you have to attach even one second round pick to getting off of Rosier. Now, if you’re getting a good player in return that can contribute to this roster this season, but also isn’t taking away your flexibility in the future, okay, I’ll attach one second round pick for Terry Rosier to get rid of him if it’s the right deal though. But I’m not just attaching a second round pick just to get rid of him because that expiring is going to be very valuable for Miami next off season. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel because we’re putting out daily heat content and when the Heat make a move, we have you covered. We were live the first two days of free agency keeping a track on things and we also broke down the Duncan Robinson side and trade in depth. So this is why you subscribe to the channel, join the family at the heat report. The biggest like Terry Rosier watch if you will is what’s going on with John Collins in Utah. There’s a lot of smoke around Collins in Miami. Jake Fischer, who was all over the Pistons Duncan Robinson thing to where he was actually on it before the Heat Beat reporters were the day of yesterday. Barry Jackson, Auntie Chang, Five News Sports Network pivoted and started saying, “Oh yeah, Duncan’s basically gone. He’s going to be a Piston in all likelihood.” Yeah, they had that. But Jake Fischer was saying it over the weekend that with the Malik Beasley situation that unfolded with the gambling stuff, they were going to heavily pursue Duncan Robinson once he exercised his ETO. So him saying that Miami is the most likely team for John Collins certainly does peique my interest because even though he was really bad last year in terms of sources, he’s been pretty solid this year so far throughout the draft process and free agency. Collins only played 40 games last season for Utah, but he was really, really good when he was on the floor, averaging 19, shooting 40% from three, averaging 52.7% from the field as well. I think he would come off the bench for Miami. He would be that rotational big man to Kel Wear and Bam at a bio to where you could play John Collins and Bam. You could play Jon Collins and Khal Wear together and then obviously you would start Bam and Wear. I wouldn’t start Collins at the three, even though he did that a little bit in Utah at times. I would probably still prioritize starting a Nicola Yovic and Andrew Wiggins if he was still on the team and have Collins come off the bench. But him having the same exact expiring deal as Rosier, I would attach one second round pick to Terry to get off of Rosier for John Collins because you keep the expiring, but you get a player that will help you more this season. That is certainly a more intriguing idea if you are asking me. All right, coming up in just one second, we’ll close out today’s show with a Damen Lillard update after he was waved by the Milwaukee Bucks yesterday. But get your Heat shirt on sale right now. It’s available for $16. Sizes are running out. It’s usually $30. You can get it for 16 when you go to chatports.com/heatshirt sale. Grab yours today. Links in the description and comments of today’s video. Sizes are running out, so I don’t know how much longer it will be available, but when you could get a awesome shirt for $16, which is $14 less than the original, I mean, you got to take advantage. Let’s talk about Damen Lillard now because the NBA world was shocked when the Bucks signed Miles Turner to a 27.25 million deal and then waved Damen Lillard. And we know the Heat have been linked to him already. Sam or excuse me, Anthony Ching of the Herald reported that the Heat have interest in Dame and are expected to make contact. Dame still has interest in Miami. So, we’ll see if that comes to fruition at any point. But Sam Amik reporting some other teams are interested in Damen Lillard. He mentioned Golden State, the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers are teams that have interest in doing a deal with Dame sooner rather than later. And I imagine that it will be a pretty hot market for Lillard. the teams that have already been linked, Miami, potentially Portland again, and then those three right there. And it doesn’t surprise me whatsoever because there really is no downside to Dame. And because Dame is getting waved and stretched, which means he’s getting $24 million from the Bucks over the next five seasons. He doesn’t have to sign for a big contract in free agency because he’s still getting paid 24 million. And so if he gets like a5 million, a $10 million contract over the next three seasons, that will ultimately amount to $35 million per year. And I think he will take that at this point in his career. I mean, you saw his numbers last season. He played extremely well for Milwaukee. Yeah, he only played 58 games, but he was an all-star. He put up really good numbers, and him and Giannis were unable to stay healthy together down the stretch of that season, which is why they were first round exits for the third straight season. Do you want to sign Damen Lillard? Type S for sign, type P for pass, take the role of Pat Riley. Do you want to make that move? Let me know your thoughts. Listen, I am still in on Dane because he is still very, very good. You saw the raw production on screen a second ago, but the point of him is that he doesn’t require athleticism to still be good. And you look at his shot chart from this past season in the regular campaign. Does he put pressure on the rim? Not really. And he actually did struggle as a finisher at the rim as well, shooting just 60.7% 6% under league average. But he is an excellent mid-range shooter still. When he gets bigs in the pick and roll and they’re playing drop coverage, he just pulls up to that mid-range or hits a little side stepper with ease. He’s also obviously a prolific three-point shooter, shot shooting a good number overall, 37.7% above the break, which is 2% better than league average. And he’s a pretty solid corner three-point shooter as well. And he shot just about 1% better league average from 8 to 10 feet inside the paint. The point is this, Damen Lillard at this point in his career doesn’t rely on much athleticism to get off his shot. when he was younger in Portland and he’s the number one option on consistent playoff teams that were winning series. Yeah, his athleticism was big because he would drive to the paint, finish amongst a crowd, and even finish on top of you with a slam dunk as well. He’s obviously not going to do that now. He’s obviously not going to do that coming off of an Achilles injury, but it’s not like he will fall off a cliff and just be an unproductive player like a John Wall after foot and Achilles injury. Those players that require speed and athleticism to beat you are the ones that could not come back after catastrophic injury. A player like Dame who is extremely skilled and a sniper, those players will still work down the stretch. Now, he will will he be good defensively? Not so much. And you could question his fit with Tyler, but at that point, like if you’re only paying him5 to$10 million per season, what’s the what’s the harm? You’re not paying him 50 mil a year to be a bad backcourt partner with Tyler. You’re paying him five to 10, maybe even 15 million per season. So, that’s why I am more in on the matter. That will do it for today’s show. Appreciate everybody hanging out with us here. Remember to follow me on Twitter, Nick Rolloloff. 15 followers away from 2000. We get there from today’s show. Why don t they want to keep Wiggens ?
Collin’s is NOT soft like Bam
U could not pay me to wear that schmataaas
"Only" $24.9 Million of Rozier's contract is guaranteed.
… and as far as flexibility goes, you can still waive and stretch Rozier (IF you have to) for five years and pay him roughly 5 million per year then — like the Bucks did with Lillard. There's your extra roster spot opening up, outside of a sign and trade deal.
Y
Lillard's recent history of DVT blood clots worry me more than his Achilles tear.
– Think about what we went through with Bosh's clots.
God I wished jimmy would’ve stayed 😢
12:50 if we can get em on that discount 5 mill and he’s medically cleared to start rehab then yes
But if not no,
Cause I’m really more concerned about the clots more than his Achilles tear.

Wiggins and rozier for middleton and smart. Get back 2 expiring. Waive fontecio and sign dame to 2 year contract with the plan on using this season to rehab and mentor kasper. This would be my priorty for upcoming season
Spo and Pat at the strip club. Season over.
Yes
Heat being at 15 fucked us this whole time I wish we somehow managed to wait on Davion obviously I want him but we just closed our doors to all other options
Just let Rozier expire.
Do you agree that this year should be about giving heavy minutes to the following players rather than gunning for wins?
Ware
Jovic
Jaquez
Jakucionis
Larsson
Keshad
In my opinion, Collins would make us better, but that makes our FRP worse. So I just don’t like the idea of giving a pick in a Rozier trade to weaken the value of the 2026 FRP, while also having Collins progress stopping the young guys.
Trade him at the deadline if it makes sense, but i think we should kind of stack the deck against ourselves so we can be bad without tanking and hopefully get a high lottery pick.
We better not attach any assets to move on from Rozier
Riley once again has the team stifled in a box . Pat expects the players to prove themselves every year, but Pat can rest on what he did 5 or more years ago. Micky and son should try to lure Brad Stevens from the Celtics.
TRADE kellel Ware for Gianni's anthetokoumpo or bam adebayo,
Bucks is looking for 2bigmen fielding in.like OKC,PACERS,TWOLVES,Knicks,M Robinson and karl towns,
Same way heat should compete for the bgmen
L james is OUT!!!!!
HIS PREDICTABLE,drive in the middle or pass the ball or flopped,
arguing the call and hypen the crowd for none calls,
trading players for his son bronny that don't fit in NBA, addition to this NBA heard him he don't want rings,as long as he's the greatest player of all time EVEN TO THE EXPENSE of team losing the Game …
(inspite the mentioned skill,I wonder why he predicted himself GOAT),
Click bait – big move coming – ain’t shit coming
I gotta give the front office props. I’ve talked a lot of smack about them, but I really do think they’ve made all the right decisions so far this offseason.
