so could the Boston Celtics be trading away Derek White to the Cleveland Cavaliers this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea for fadeawayorld.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself But this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers receiving Derek White Sam Hower Jordan Walsh and a 2032 second round draft pick So my initial thoughts are is that if Derrick White was made available and he were to go for uh go to the division rivals I guess the conference rivals in the form of the Cleveland Cavaliers this would be an amazing move for the franchise to make Plus if they’re able to get some other assets as well like Sam Hower like a Jordan Walsh and a second round draft pick in 2032 that is a tremendous move in my personal opinion for the Cavaliers to make because not that Darius Garland’s a bad player You can make the argument that he is the best individual player in this deal but why would Boston make this trade especially with a team like Cleveland who they’re competing for a championship with next year the year after etc So I understand that Derrick White could be made available but the asking price in this scenario I just don’t think is quite there Like Darius Garland’s a starting point don’t get me wrong He’s a really good player but Dererick White brings a lot more defensively speaking I think he plays better championship basketball uh than someone like Darius Garland does I think Darius Garland’s a more polarizing player no doubt about that But I guess for next year in this Boston team with Tatum out of the lineup having a one-two punch of Darius Garland and Jaylen Brown like that’s pretty good Like offensively speaking that’s an upgrade over Derrick White Sam Hower etc But just kind of based on how this Cavaliers team is constructed I think Derrick White going there playing alongside Donovan Mitchell and Evan Moy like defensively speaking having Moy in the front court Derek White in the back court that is really scary in my personal opinion So the Cavaliers would do awesome with this deal Um I love this move a lot for the Cavs in regards to the Celtics I don’t know Like I know the asking price for Derek White’s pretty high but would this even happen i’m not even sure 100% But if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’m going to go with the Cleveland Cavaliers But as always leave your thoughts
