Raptors Make MULTIPLE Moves…

The Toronto Raptors have made multiple moves as there’s been a lot of excitement over the past couple days about the Yakapurto extension as well as bringing in Mamu from the San Antonio Spurs to be this team’s backup center. However, a few moves certainly got lost in the shuffle, which will have a serious impact on the back half of this roster as we look at this team develop over the course of this off season. So, we’re going to break down what these new moves are, how they actually impact this team in terms of roster availability, in terms of flexibility and making different trades and all of those different things in this video as well. Take an entire look at the Toronto Raptor summer league roster as frankly this team looks like it has a real shot at winning the summer league this off season. So, lots of stuff to break down in this video, but folks, you guys have been crushing it, hitting the subscribe button as of late. I can’t thank you enough as we march closer and closer to our goal of 40,000 subscribers. So, make sure if you’re enjoying the daily, twice a day, three times a day content we’re delivering out here on Raptor Side. Just you don’t miss a single thing that’s going on. You hit that subscribe button. It’s free. You click the button down below. But let’s dive into it because there’s a lot of stuff to break down in this video. As first things first, we had an update regarding, you know, Raptors 2A guy Jared Rhoden who has been waved from his two-way contract by the Toronto Raptors. So, first things first, you know, Darren Rowan’s a guy that I found was a very interesting player over the course of last season. Had some bright bright moments in the back half of last year, but also dealt with some injuries during, you know, a crucial time for him to show out at the NBA level. But, you know, if you weren’t familiar, he didn’t watch a ton of games in the back half of last year. I don’t really blame you, but the Tor, you know, Jar Rhoden’s a guy 66, joined the Toronto Raptors for 10 games last season. And for the Toronto Raptors, averaged 11.4 points per game, averaged four rebounds, 1.4 for assist. Put up some really solid stats out there for this Raptors group and shot 32% of the three-point line. Again, small sample size, just 10 games for the Toronto Raptors, but in his moments, it was very up and down. Like, he had a couple just blockbuster really strong games and a couple where he didn’t have a crazy impact out there on the basketball court. But overall, I thought he impressed. I’m surprised that they let him go of his two-way contract. But this allows the Toronto Raptors to have more flexibility moving through this summer. the summer league guys have more of an opportunity to, you know, slide into a two-way roster spot. You know, one of those final positions. So, Roden, of course, is a guy that you could get buckets in a hurry, but he plays a position that’s very saturated on this Toronto Raptor group. So, it’s going to be tough for him to find his way out there in the mix. So hopefully he gets I’m sure the the Raptors through this timing knowing he could hop on another summer league team, get another opportunity because I do think he’s an NBA quality player, but just where the Toronto Raptors are at right now in terms of how many guards are out here on this team that provide a similar skill set to Rooden, there wasn’t a huge opportunity for him to come into the mix for this squad. So wishing him the best. Had a solid solid Toronto Raptor tenure. But that’s not the only move that was made by this Toronto Raptors team as we did have an update in regards to uh if we get the right image brought up. That’s right. So, uh, you know, we got a we got a little Boise State guy coming into the Toronto Raptors as he’s officially been signed from the summer for the summer for this team. So, Tyson Deenhart is another wing that’s coming into the mix for this Raptors group. And there’s a lot of people from Boise State that really, really like his game, that like him as a basketball player and are gassing him up a lot out there online. So, who is he as a basketball player? If we take a look in terms of what he’s able to do statistically last season averaged 18.3 points per game, you know, 6.1 rebounds and just a player that is a solid three-point shooter. His three-point percentages varied all throughout the course of his college career. He shot 43% from the three-point line in his freshman season. Then that randomly ended up going down to 33% then 31% and then back up to 35% during his final season as a senior. So, he’s varied greatly in terms of his three-point efficiency, but overall has improved over the course of his college career, had a different role, and is a guy that, you know, you look at his size frame, not crazy athletic by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely a player that, uh, has a sneaky sort of skill set. So, uh, what are we looking at here in terms of, uh, his impact out there on the basketball court? Well, he’s a versatile defender, has a strong frame, and he’s comfortable switching on multiple positions. So, you know, being a 67 white dude, the not super flashy, bouncy athleticism, he’s a very, very strong defender, and that’s one of the reasons he’s being brought into this team. We know how much Bobby Webster, this Dan Tlesman, this Raptors front office are prioritizing guys that can come out, be switchable defenders, and have an impact on that end of the floor. And this Tyson’s coming in, and he can have an impact in those areas. So that’s one thing that uh you definitely see if he can show that off out there for summer league as we saw in his three-point shooting percentages. He’s a reliable four spacer with a shooting touch. So he can knock down some threes. He can have an impact out there in those areas. And he has a high motor and a team first mentality. So and this is why a lot of the Boise States folks were gassing him up my research figuring out who this guy is. This is a dude that’s very likable. brings the energy, brings the intensity, and that is something the Toronto Raptors have always prioritized, and I imagine they will even after the Messiah Jerry departure. So, a guy that’s definitely interesting, a guy that we will definitely watch and have a very, very close eye on over the course of this summer league action, but you know, similar to Jared Rhoden, there’s a lot of players that play that position for this Raptors group. Heck, there’s a lot of players that play that position for this Raptor summer league team, which we will jump into. So, it’s a tough spot to be at. Ed even uh what’s it called? I’ll take a look at his weaknesses thereafter. But uh you know if we take a look at the history you know Rod and I thought might have had a shot when we end up bringing back Sandro from the San Antonio Spurses. They’re actually set and hall teammates you know out there before. So it’s uh you know that relationship didn’t last super super long. You know you know Mamu has actually played with RJ Barrett as well. So there’s some deep relationships of Baba there for this Raptors team. But uh the one with Roen will not last long cuz you know he ended up getting waved about an hour after uh you know Mamu came into this Raptors group. So that is what it is. But uh if we’re you know I’m jumping all over the place in this video. But if we’re looking at you know this this guy’s you know we’re bringing in from Boyise State terms of his impact he’s not a perfect basketball player by any means. You know limited athletic upside. He lacks burst and vertical pop. you know, he’s not coming out there and even though he’s a strong defender, he’s not setting the world on fire in terms of what he’s able to do out there on the on the, you know, athletic front. He’s not going to be dunking on people doing crazy things the same way a guy like Elijah Martin will be able to do with a Raptor second round pick. So, he also struggles creating off the dribble, which is unfortunate when you don’t have that frame because if you’re not going to be able to blow by people and stuff, you want to at least be crafty in the Austin Reeves, Luca Donuch sense. You’ll be able to get to the floor. Paul Pierce sets, you know, you know, obviously an undrafted free agent’s not going to be coming in and having that type of impact, but you’d like to see the promise for those types of skill sets, especially at the college level. So, doesn’t have that sort of elite skill. And then, you know, he’s a dweener without elite tools for either for it spot. So, that’s the thing, right? Even though he can guard both positions offensively, he’s not going to really set the world on fire with either of those skills. So, a guy that definitely is a good basketball player, a guy that a lot of people like and uh I think can have a, you know, a real puncher chance at at least making the training camp squad. I’m not sure it’s 100% he’s going to be, you know, one of those full tilt guaranteed guys out there for one of those final roster spots or one of those two ways that just frankly opened up with Jared Rhoden. So, who are we looking at for this year’s summer league team? Because the whole list is actually been displayed here right now as Jameson Battle, Colin Castleton, two guys we’re very familiar with. Battle of course elite three-point shooter. His contract guarantee date is uh you know a few days from now. So keep an eye out for that certainly over the next week. Uh Colin Castleton, you know, a guy that’s on an ungranted contract for the Toronto Raptor, seven-footer, can have an impact for sure. Olar Shamshay, the guy that everyone’s interested in seeing how he’s developed over the last stretch of time, recovering from injury. You know, Tyson Deenheart, who we’ve been talking about this entire video. Quincy Guier, a Canadian, so has been around the Toronto Raptor system for a while now at this point. Chucky Heburn, who is one of those is one of those signings for the two-way spots for this Raptors group. So, and Chucky very uh had a had a fun video, has a fun fun just college career. So, I think he could be a really really nice acquisition for this team. You know, a couple couple unknowns. We got AJ Lawson out there in the mix who did have a really strong backup this season. You know, impressed, I think, a lot of people in terms of what he was able to do for this Raptors team in his final season run. So, you know, I I hope he gets one of those final roster spots, him and him and Jameson Battle. But Elijah Martin, who is our second round pick this year, elite defender, elite athleticism. Really pumped to see him out there on the court for this team. Jonathan Mo, again, our next stream on Green. Colin Murray Boils, our ninth overall pick this year. Clifford Maruy, if you didn’t watch my video on him, another Raptors undrafted free agent signing, 611, 7 foot6 wingspan, super athletic, blocks a ton of shots, really, really good on the defensive end of the floor. Jamal shed, you know, shed heads United. I’m surprised he’s even playing in summer league cuz this man is just too elite. You know, there might be a point this season being our starting point guard. So, I love me some Jamal Shad. Excited to watch him play out there in summer league. I know I’m overrating the guy, but that is what it is. Uh, you know, there’s some hype around Aniwani. Uh, I’m going to miss up this name Tate Jones, but basically, I haven’t done the full research on him. If if he’s an interesting prospect, might make a video on him breaking him down because I’ve seen some excitement about the the man from New Zealand as well as Jacobe Walter, who was the Raptors rookie last year. So, frankly, this summer league team, Bobby Webster’s cooking up a little squad that can come out there and win summer league. That’s my take. That’s my position. I want to see this uh Raptors team tier it up out there the summer. I mean, we have so many draft picks. We have so many young players. I want to see this group really come together and make a push out there for those summer league battles. So, let me know what you guys think about all this in the comment section down below. Are you happy with this Raptor summer league team? Are you happy with the moves they made over the past few days? Anyways, I’m signing out. Cheers.

  1. The Toronto Raptors are going to win, the Toronto Blue Jays are going to win, the Toronto Maple Leafs? Go Raptors, go Jays

  2. Cant wait to see CMB body some fools. And yes need to see jakobe out there. Mans is SILK! Oh and I hope battle sinks 7 3s in a game and puts league on notice lol.

  3. Tyson an interesting guy. Not flashy but very fundamental..hope he does well but definitely heading to yhe 905.

  4. People are sleeping on this team and I don’t understand why. It’s obvious who actually watched the games last year and who didn’t. Hey you morons in the comments, WE WERE TRYING TO LOSE LAST YEAR and kept winning!!! We will be too six next year 100% unless we are actually dealing with real injuries this year. But let’s be real, if there was ONE MORE YEAR to even get a pick in the late lottery or early 20’s. Next years draft might be even better then this draft which was elite. CMB will be better than OG. On offence he’s already better than OG, except from three. But CMB can shoot the three. South Carolina wasn’t good, so they needed CMB under the basket to get boards. Not stand out there and shoot threes. I can’t wait for summer league. CMB is about to Dominate summer league. I really want to see ulrich chomche to. I was so happy when we got him at 57 wow. He should have been a late first round pick in the 2024 draft. Just like shead

  5. Not sure what u changed audio-wise, but you’re either clipping somewhere or running the input gain a bit too hot somewhere along your chain. Lots of distortion lately and it’s a bit rough on the ears. Love what you’re doing lately other than that.
