KUMINGA TO THE KINGS AND HISTORIC SEVEN-TEAM TRADE INCOMING??

KUMINGA TO THE KINGS AND HISTORIC SEVEN-TEAM TRADE INCOMING??

All righty guys, sorry I am a little bit late to the party here. He was just finishing off an article. Brody says, “Where you at, Peter? I am here right now. We are ending uh near the end of uh day three of free agency here and still the Warriors have done absolutely nothing.” And this is a classic classic example of it’s all happening but nothing’s happening. I am trying to get my head around these rumors at the moment in regard to Jonathan Kaminga and the Sacramento Kings. Now there is a lot again a lot a lot going on because the Sacramento Kings appear like the number one team now that are after Jonathan Kaminga. We’ve had the Pelicans, we’ve had the Bulls, we’ve had the Heat. all potentially involved in Jonathan Kaminga discussions, but it sounds like the Sacramento Kings are the team that are after Jonathan Kaminga. But what does that mean? Uh Brody says, “Did you see the news on the Warriors and others trying to make the KD trade a 17amer?” I’ll get into that in a second. I’ll get into that in a second because that’s also somewhat notable, but I think less notable than this Kaminga stuff at the moment. So, uh I’ve lost my train of thought. Uh yes, so the Kings, they’re after they’re after Kaminga, but it remains to be seen what the Warriors could potentially get uh in a sign and trade scenario. And there are so many different possibilities here, but at the same time, there’s only a couple, I think. So there are so many different names floating about, but some of it just doesn’t make sense to me. So here are the facts, right? The Kings obviously seems like there’s there’s too much there’s too much smoke here for this not to be true that the Kings are very much after Jonathan Kaminger. I’m just going to get Matt George. He works for ABC 10 in Sacramento. I’m just going to get his Twitter page up because he’s uh said a lot about this current Kaminga situation with the Kings. So, he reported a couple of hours ago here that uh sorry, I’m just trying to find it again. The Kings are very engaged on the Jonathan Kaminga front in a deal which I’m told likely wouldn’t involve Malik Monk. So that kind of reiterates what uh Jake Fischer, NBA insider Jake Fischer at the Stein Line wrote uh very early Wednesday morning American time, late yesterday for me in Australia. I think it came out 2 a.m. American time. It was actually good for me. It was like 5:00 p.m. uh in the afternoon. And Jake Fischer basically said that the Kings are willing to offer up Malik Monk in a Jonathan Kaminga signing trade, but that the Warriors don’t really have a whole lot of interest in that. Uh, which I actually from a Warrior fan perspective, just my opinion of this, I don’t mind that. There’s something about Malik Monk which doesn’t particularly like I don’t love Malik Monk. It’s weird. Tell me if I’m wrong, but I just I feel a bit better about like Kobe White than I do Malik Monk. It’s strange because you’d think that they’re pretty similar players and maybe Monk’s even a better player than Kobe White. I don’t know, but there’s just there’s something there’s something in me and I’m not exactly sure what it is that thinks that I really want Kobe White, but I don’t want Malik Monk. And so, if the Warriors are turning down Malik Monk in a Jonathan Kaminga sign and trade scenario, I’m okay with that from a Warriors perspective. That’s fine. If if that was the deal that ended up happening, I’d be n about it. Like I wouldn’t hate it hate it, but I I wouldn’t be thrilled about it either. So beyond that, let’s just get some facts straight here, right? As Brody says, Monk would be elite and the score we need off the bench. He’d be okay. I’m just not sure like is he closing games for you? I want a guy that can ideally close. And now maybe that’s asking too much given the situation the Warriors have found themselves in with Jonathan Kaminga, but that’s what I would ideally like some guy who could potentially close for the Warriors. I’m just going to check my Twitter notifications here. See if there’s anything going on. Doesn’t look like it. Uh, now let’s get some facts straight here because there’s people on social media who just like to throw names about for uh any reason. Basically, the Warriors, they cannot they cannot possibly get uh Demard Rosen, Demantis, Sabonis, or Zack Lavine with just Kaminga. They’d have to. Now, Sabonis can’t happen whatsoever. The the Kings wouldn’t even go for that in the first place, obviously. Uh Lavine they would probably go for, but again, he makes over 40 million. Can’t happen. D Rozan makes like 24. He’s closer to the mark, but again, the Warriors would have to give up more. Like, they’d have to give up Moody. Just not sure the Warriors are doing that. the fit between D Rozan and Butler. No, thank you. I don’t really want that. So, let’s take those three out of the equation, right? The Warriors. I think if the Warriors were were happy with Malik Monk and what did Malik Monk that we’d probably legitimately probably get like a deal done already like a deal would have happened. I think if the Warriors were after Malik Monk. So I almost want to rule Malik Monk out of the equation just simply based on what we’ve seen reported and based on the fact the Kings the Kings want to give up Malik Monk for Dennis freaking Shruder. They are that keen. They are wheeling Malik Monk. They are pushing him out the door. They are will they were willing to give him up for Shruder. So of course they’re going to be willing to give him up for for Kaminga. Absolutely. So it sounds like if the Warriors wanted Monk that would have happened already. It hasn’t. Right. So unless they kind of circle back around to and that’s their last real option, not sure that’s going to happen. So what have we got left? Well, Matt George reported here and I literally nearly fell off my chair. I literally nearly fell off my chair when he had this report about what the Kings are offering uh the Warriors for Jonathan Kaminga. quote, “I’m hearing the Kings are attempting to use pieces like Devin Carter and Dario Surich and even draft compensation to Golden State as part of a Kaminga deal.” That was an hour ago. I tell you what, that would have to be incredible draft compensation for me to consider that deal. Let’s put it that way. Incredible draft compensation that would then allow the Warriors to go and make some other kind of significant move. Dario Surich? Are you kidding me? The dude who was out of Steve Kerr’s rotation just a little bit over 12 months ago, like 15 16 months ago, whose end of his Warrior tenure was horrific, who then went to Denver and played 16 games and 210 total minutes across the course of the entire season. That same Dario Surich, Devin Carter, okay, nice young player, maybe. What are the Warriors doing with that? This is a team built around 37year-old Steph Curry, 35-year-old Draymond Green, 35-year-old Jimmy Butler, who look like a likely landing spot for 39year-old Al Hawett, what are the Warriors doing with Deon Carter? I don’t know. So, if the Warriors are not willing to trade Kaminga Phillip for Malik Monk, who Malik Monk I’m I’m just shocked that the Kings seem so keen to give him away. It’s It’s real random. Like they’re willing to give him up for shrruder apparently or they were like why what if they’re not willing to take on monk why would they take a deal of Devin Carter Dario Surich and some draft compensation which you think wouldn’t be significant. The only way I think the Warriors can be maneuvered or swindled into a bad deal here is if Kaminga and his camp really try and put the pressure on and say, “Hey, if you don’t do this trade, we are going to accept the qualifying offer and we will be walking for nothing next season and we’ll be taking the $7.9 million qualifying offer and we’ll be walking for nothing next offseason as an unrestricted free agent. Even that even that Anthony Slater, here we go. Here we go. Anthony Slater. There’s nothing near the finish line on the Jonathan Kaminga front as the third night of free agency wraps per sources. Conversations ongoing with Wars and several teams on periphery. Warriors also waiting on Al Hawford decision. That’s the latest on Jonathan Kaminga and Al Hawford to a degree. I still think there’s still some there’s still some optimism in me that thinks that this Hawford scenario is just tied in with Kaminga and that Hawford is just like the Warriors have got a handshake agreement with Hawford but have just said just wait just wait for me to uh hang on I’m just reading something again here that they’re just waiting on the Kamingus thing to go down before they actually officially sign Hawford cuz they want to tie themselves into Hawford without knowing what they’re going to do. That they don’t want to tie themselves into anything without knowing what’s going on with Kaminga. That’s how a bigger piece of this Kaminga is. Matt George, I’ll tell you this, Sacramento Kings GM Scott Perry isn’t going to be pushed around. He’s negotiated bigger deals in the past and he’s putting pressure on the Warriors who are in a tough spot with Kiminga. Man, you just traded Fed for Dario Surich and gave away Yonas Valenunis. Hugely one-sided trade. Yeah, I know you opened up room to get Shruder, but aren’t you now doing a shining trade with Shuda? I don’t know what the hell is going on. Like really, I’m not sure I’ if I’m a Kings fan, I got that much faith. I don’t know. But I also think if you lo the like I’m I’m almost doing it out of principle. If you lowball me for Kaminga and you say here’s Suridge and Devon Carter, if I’m the worries, I’m saying fine, like I’m not taking that deal. Kaminga, you can sign the qualifying offer because you know what? You can’t go and sit out a year. You can’t do that. If you want to be paid, if you want to be paid because the thought is, well, could Kaminga sign the qualifying offer for 7.9 and then just refuse to show up? Like just refuse to say, I’m not I’m not showing up to train again. I’m not playing next. Do Ben Simmons. I ain’t playing. I ain’t playing. The difference is Ben Simmons was paid. Jonathan Kaminga hasn’t been paid. So if Jonathan Kaminga sits out a year on the qualifying offer of 7.9 million, who’s paying him $25 plus million next season? Who? No one’s going to take that having not seen him play for a year. Are you kidding me? So yes, Jonathan Kaminga could say, “F you Warriors. I’m taking the qualifying offer.” The Warriors are going to turn around and say, “Fine. That gives us a little bit more wiggle room to go sign guys in free agency for starters. Yes, we might lose you next off season, but you’re still going to have to come back and try and play pretty hard, right? And then Kaminga’s still kind of at the mercy of the Warriors because what if the Warriors say, “Well, you can come back and you can play a 15minute role off the bench, right? You can you can come and do that.” And you know what? That’s not really going to help you get a 2530 million deal as an unrestricted free agent the next off season. Like you could both every party has to be really careful in this because the Warriors are trying to contend. Kaminga is trying to get paid. Like this is a a very precarious scenario for everyone. It must be said. Now the dream here as I finish up and then I’ll get on to your guys comments. I apologize. The last thing here, the absolute dream scenario for the Warriors. The dream scenario is Jonathan Kaminga for Keegan Murray. Keegan Murray, you sign me up for that. Sign me up for Keegan Murray. If the Warriors can swindle the Kings into Kaminga for Keegan Murray, build Mike Dunle Jr. a statue. Build him a statue. That would be an unbelievable outcome based on where we are with the Kaminga situation right now. In saying that, I’m not sure the Kings are going to do it unless they’re drunk. Although they’ve just signed Shruder to three years 45 and traded Surich, sorry, traded Valentunas for Surich. Maybe they have been on the piss the last few days. Could be possible. Matt George says uh this was uh an hour ago. Side note, disregard anything you are seeing about Keegan Murray being part of a Kaminga deal. Sacramento is going to be on the hook for whatever contract Kiminga signs. Why in the world would they give the Warriors a core piece for the right to pay Kaminga? Silly talk. Well, if you want Kaminga that badly and like the Warriors still have the leverage of saying we’re going to match like you you can’t sign him out, right? It has to be a sign and trade. And I don’t know, like I just I want the Warriors to play tough here and say we’re actually would prefer you to come back on the qualifying offer than take a crap deal, take a crap trade and get bent over. Like I’d rather the Warriors just say do the qualifying offer. As disastrous as that is, as disastrous as it is, it’s still like Kaminga on the qualifying offer is better than Surich and Deon Carter next season. It simply is. Like, it just is. Matt George two minutes ago. Uh, sorry, I’m just reading. Brett Seagull says there’s not there’s really not much of a tough spot. Ah, my man Brett Seagull getting back at Matt George here. Brett Seagull says, “Uh, there’s not really much of a tough spot here for the Warriors as they aren’t going to be forced into any trade and they’ve made that apparent, hence their patient approach. If the Kings want to get Kaminga on an offer sheet immediately, Golden State can easily match.” Facts. Facts. What’s Why are the Warriors in a tough spot? They ain’t. Facts. Brett Seagull. To which Matt George says, “Yes, the Warriors can match and pay for a player that doesn’t seem to want to be there. Nor do the Warriors feel inclined to keep him around. So, the Kings are giving them an opportunity to get something out of it. They can say no if they want. There’s the pressure from Sack. What? Okay. They’re giving them an opportunity to get something out of it. I’m sorry. Dario Surich and Devin Carter ain’t something. It It’s not something. It’s almost Dario Surich is flat out negative value. He’s negative. Even if you want to say Carter’s somewhat positive value, it’s literally nothing. I’m sorry. The Kings are giving them an opportunity to get something out of it unless there’s like like an unprotected future first round pick involved which the Warriors can then move for something else of significance. They’re not getting them. They’re not giving them a way out to get something out of it. They’re not. It’s Dario freaking Sur. I’m sorry to be a hater on Dario. I’m sorry, but that man has negative value in this league. Well, at least I thought he did until some for some reason just to open up a bit of cap room the Kings traded for him. Also, can can we just get one more thing out of here, please? One more thing. Correct me if I’m wrong. Correct me if I’m wrong. because the Kings just traded for Dario Saridge. Is it not true that they cannot aggregate other salaries with him? If they’re to move on from Dario Saridge, it would have to be just Dario Surich going out, it couldn’t be Dario Surich and Deon Carter. Correct me if I’m wrong. Is that not part of the CBA rules? Like when the Warriors acquired Chris Paul, right? Chris Paul was traded from Phoenix to Washington, but then Washington rerooed him, but just him. Like, you can’t aggregate salaries on top of that. So, am I right in saying that the Kings could not aggregate other players on top of Dario Sarich? So, what the Warriors are going to do, Jonathan Kaminga for Dario Surich and a pick, man. All right, let me get into let me get into some of your comments here. Uh, Adam Lee says, “Shupra moving to Sacramento next year. Would be so pumped to watch Kaminga as a king and it make the dubs way better, too. That’d be huge for the Kings. Would sell tickets for sure.” Well, I actually So, maybe I’m just talking like I’m trying to talk Kings fans into this, but Kaminga for Murray legitimately makes some sense. I think, and I’ve spoken about it before, I think Kiminga’s upside is higher than Murray’s. Right. Right now, Murray is a better NBA player, but he hasn’t shown, has Murray ever gone out and averaged 25 points across four playoff games on 55% shooting? No, he hasn’t. Kaminga has higher upside. And if I’m Sacramento and I’m a very middling team, like I am I’ve got some solid players. Sabonis is close an all-star player uh you know but he’s not a you’re not building a team I don’t think you necessarily want to build a team around Sabonis D Rozan he’s just old he’s can get a bucket but is he really contributing to winning Lavine same kind of thing like you’re a middling team you’re going to be somewhere between eight and 13 in the West next season would you not rather take the gamble of the high upside guy and say we could we have a chance This guy could be a legitimate star for us like does does have allstar level ability potentially down there somewhere if we can just get it out of him. Would you would you not rather take that risk than have a guy like Keegan Murray who I think Keegan Murray might have a bit of untapped potential just because he’s been playing alongside like D Rozan and and Lavine like in the past few months and maybe there’s a bit of untapped potential but we kind of know what Keegan Murray is like. He’s a really nice 3 and D player and I I and that’s what I’m saying. I’d like him on the Warriors cuz again you’re giving up the upside of Kiminga but for the Warriors the Warriors are still focused on the short term right they are wanting to build a contender around Steph Jimmy and Dre Keegan Murray is a far better fit to that as a 68 shooter than Jonathan Kaminger is. And I think Keegan Murray would fit him beautifully for the Warriors. And you’re also retaining some youth like he’s 24 25 years old. You’re not It’s not like you’re trading Kiminga for a 35y old. So, I don’t I don’t know. Like, it makes again, maybe I’m just way too optimistic and biased as a Warriors fan. I get that. Okay, I get it. But I still think there is a an argument you can make as to why that would be a win-win deal. And then I’m interested to see what the Kings are willing to pay if I’m assuming Keegan if if Keegan stays. What are the Kings willing to pay him on extension? Cuz that’s the other thing that kind of maybe lowers his trade value slightly is like this guy’s going to be extension eligible. You’re probably going to have to pay him at least you’re going to have to pay him at least what Kaminga gets. I’m assuming. So if Kaminga is getting anywhere 20 plus, then Murray’s getting 20 plus. So Brody says Monk and Murray for Kucket would be nice. Well, you can’t get both of them unless you did like Kaminga. What about like Kaminga and Moody for Monk and Murray? thoughts. Interesting. Doublem says it’s a bonus for Butler. Butler can’t get traded right now, so that’s not happen. Kings fan. Kaminga’s value is low. It seems you are thinking he’s worth more than what he is. If his value is that low, I’m happy to take him back. I’m happy for him to stay at the Warriors. Like when you’re saying Kaminga’s value is low, but Sacramento seem pretty intent and keen on signing him and signing him to a 20 plus million a year contract. So, uh, Brody says, “I swear Kaminga needs to switch his agent man doing him no favors.” Yeah. Well, Jake Fisher said, uh, in May that he turned down a 5year 150 million dollar extension. Had someone in the chat the other day say it was 5 years 120. If it was 120 or 150, he should have bloody signed that. Cyro Dream says, “What about Trey Murphy?” That would be an even bigger dream than Keegan Murray, but then the Warriors would have to be given up Kaminga and he’s also on like 25 million. The good thing about Murray
is that again he’s still on his rookie contract making like 11.1 next season. So this is why like financially Kaminga for Murray could work and it’s why it actually to me it makes the most sense out of all this. Um because there’s other guys obviously outside of the price r price range financially like a D Rozan for example. Uh and even even Monk is at a price point that’s a bit high uh for a sign and trade scenario. Uh and then obviously you’ve got others like Sich and Carter which I’m sure the Warriors aren’t going to aren’t going to uh be keen on. Uh Kings fan says keep dreaming not happening. Uh Iran says Warrior should give Steph a back or jo that he’s a 40% three-point shooter and a great defender, a two-way player. Um who are you who are you who are you talking about that Kings fan says if he goes on the qualifying offer that means you get zero. We get zero anyway. It’s Dario Surich. It’s it’s Dario Surich and a secondyear Devin Carter on a team that wants to try and contend like we are getting zero anyway. And it means that Kaminga has to come back and Kaminga actually has to play well in order to get a big contract in unrestricted free agency. It would be not ideal, absolutely. But would I prefer that than taking Dario Surich and Devin Carter? Yes. Uh Young Dagger says, “Bro, the title scared me.” Well, this is just the rumors. This is speculation going on. Swin says the Warriors had a chance to trade JK to Kings for Keegan Mar and Valenunis or Monk and Monk is better than JK. We ain’t trade if Malik Monk is better than Jonathan Kaminga. If it’s if these two statements are true, the Warriors are keen to move Jonathan Kaminga and that Malik Monk is better than Jonathan Kaminga, then why hasn’t that trade happened already? If the Warriors thought if the Warriors truly wanted to get rid of Kaminga and they thought Malik Monk was better that that trade literally I think would have happened by now. Why wouldn’t have that happened? Like the Kings seem pretty keen on moving Monk. They seem pretty keen on acquiring Kaminga. That trade would have happened by now I think if the Warriors had interest but they don’t by the sounds of it. It’s been reported. Kings fan says Keegan is much better. He is. He is at the moment. At the moment. But again, is Keegan Murray having a four game playoff stretch where he’s averaging 25 points on 55% shooting? Even if even if you took your best players out like cuz you could say, “Oh, well Kaminga only did that cuz Steph was out.” Yeah, sure. Absolutely. But like is Keegan doing that if like Sabonis, Lavine, and D Rozan are out? He might average 25, but I’m not sure he’s doing it on 55% shooting. So I’m not trying to gas up Kaminga here, right? and make him seem like the c the next coming of Giannis or anything, but like I’m just reiterating what the Warriors have done all along and that is really value this guy. Otherwise, they would have traded him at some point in the first four years. And we could argue they should have. We could argue they should have, but at the end of the day, that’s revisionist. Like, we don’t care about the past. We’re talking about right now. And the right now would suggest that they still value this guy and that they’re not just going to give him away to Dario Sar and Devin Carter. Like, seriously. Uh, Kings fans think says there would not be a point of getting Kaminga for the Kings if Keegan isn’t there. Also, I’m just not sure why Sacramento have interest in Kaminga in the first place. Really like with like Sabonis can’t shoot, D Rozan can’t shoot. It’s almost like I mean obviously other moves would be made. I suppose D Rozan could be on the move. Maybe he goes to Miami or something. Like I’m not sure the what I mean is the current iteration of the Kings. I’m not sure why the current iteration of the Kings would want Kaminga. If you kind of reset a little bit and said, “We’re going to tear it down slightly, but we’re going to give this guy an opportunity to really thrive next season and try and become the star that he wants to be and he thinks he can be.” Then that’s why it makes sense, right? You give him that opportunity. But when while D Rozan’s still there, while Sabonis and Lavine is still there, I’m not sure he’s going to get that opportunity. So, we’ll see. Uh um uh Kingsfan says, “Have to drive now. I won’t be able to get back at you if you speak on my comments.” Appreciate your comments. Appreciate your comments. Uh Billy Tran says, “What are we getting for the Warriors?” Uh I think every Warrior fan wants Keegan Murray. I think every King fan, Kings fan would say, “You’re dreaming. Piss off.” Uh uh the according to Matt George, the Kings are trying to make a deal centered around Dario Surich, Devin Carter, and draft compensation. I think the Warriors would quickly hang up the phone and say, “You are joking. I hope they would anyway.” Uh and I’m not sure that’s even legal because I think Suridge could only be uh Oh, hang on. What do we got here? The Warrior the Kings Warriors and Pistons are discussing a three team sign and trade deal involving Jonathan Kamingra League. This worries me. This mean this was 20 minutes ago. Uh the Kings in turn would send Monk to the Pistons. a secondyear NBA guard Devin Carter and newly quite big man Dario Sturridge to the Warriors. Sacramento would also send two second rounders to Golden State. If we give up Kaminga for Devin Carter, Dario Sarich in two seconds, I’m going to cry on this on this post game. I’m going to I’m going to cry on this live stream. I’m going to cry on this live stream. And Kings fans can laugh at me. They can. I promise, man. I’m starting to cry already even just at the thought of that. I don’t know. Like I I kind of still believe in Kaminga. Like I I just do. Uh what I will say, what I will say, which is positive actually, let me stop being emotionally sad for a second. That report came from Tristy Rodriguez, who I’ve never really heard before, but she does work for uh NBC Sports Bay Area. Uh so that was but that was 20 minutes ago. That was 20 minutes ago. And Slater reported straight after that that there is no nothing near the finish line on the Jonathan Kaminga front. I’mma take Slater’s word for it. I’mma take Slater’s word for it. But I tell you, like, can someone tell me if obviously I’m in the wrong here. Obviously, they can move Surich and Carter together, but like is there not is there not rules around that? Can you Isn’t the rule that you can only trade the guy if if you’ve just acquired the guy, you can only trade him again within like three months or whatever whatever it is. if it’s with him and him only and not other contracts or players. Man says Moody probably get traded. Wait and see on that one. Young Wes, what’s your thoughts on Kaminga getting no offers from other teams? I think he’s getting no offers from other teams because he wants big cash and you don’t want to be a restricted free agent in this market. Like we got to remember like everyone’s down on Kaminga and says well no one wants him kind of thing but no one wants him at the price he’s asking for and they can’t possibly offer what he’s asking and he’s not in this he’s not the only one in the same boat like Josh Giddy why hasn’t Josh Giddy signed a you know $30 million per year extension in Chicago. Well I can guarantee you it’s because Chicago was sitting back saying all right you go and get an offer sheet at $30 million a year and we’ll match it. No worries. But in the meantime, here’s a $20 million per year deal. You can sign that if you want. And Josh Giddy’s like, “Well, I don’t want 20. I want 30. We’ll sacri” and Chicago are like, “Okay, go get an offer sheet. Go get a $30 million per year offer sheet. I dare you. And we’ll match it. No worries. But until then, why would we give you 30 million per year straight up?” Cam Thomas, what’s Cam Thomas doing? He’s a restricted free agent. Hasn’t signed, right? And uh Quinton Grimes also in the same boat. And all these teams will be telling these restricted free agents, fine, go get an offer sheet. Do it because guess what? You’re restricted. We can match. We’ll bring you back. No worries. They go out looking for an offer sheet. Every other team’s like, “Sorry, no cap space here. No cap space here. We can’t offer you what you want.” Like, that’s just what the reality is for restricted free agents. It’s why Kaminga made a huge mistake and these other guys who could have potentially got extension. Quinton Grimes maybe not cuz he got a he had a huge fourth year obviously but these other guys like if you had a chance to get an extension deal done you probably should have done it and your camp should have been pointing and saying yeah Brooklyn are really the only team with cap space. I think a lot of these restricted free agents looked at Brooklyn and thought, “Ah, well, if worst comes to worse, they’ll give me a big offer sheet.” And I technically they still could, but they haven’t done it. If they haven’t done it in the first three days of franch, they aren’t they ain’t really interested in these restricted free agents. And so now these restricted free agents are looking around and there’s so much uncertainty going on. Uh Roy says, “Aren’t the Pelicans interested in JK?” Yeah, been a little bit of speculation around that. Obviously, uh Herb Jones is someone the Warriors would love. Uh I think and Warrior fans have certainly uh shown on social media that they would love. Uh but right now it seems like all this stuff uh is is really going on um with the Kings. Matty says I suspect he isn’t being moved because every team is lowballing us or LA is overvaluing him. Probably a bit of both. Jay says, “What’s your rating on a starting five of Curry, Butler, Murray, Green, and Horford?” Love it. Love it. Dream. That’s That’s great. You still moody pods coming off the bench. You could even pack. You could even move those guys. Sign Melton, maybe Quinton Post. Don’t hate it. Matt says, “You should trade for Chris Murray.” H get Portland on the phone. Swin says, “Our first priority was to get a big man. It’s been two or three years. The fans have been begging pleasing for a center. Can we please get one? Dario stinks.” Kairo Dream. Kimingu is great but does it next to Draymond. True round says I’d rather play Tui over Suridge. I’d rather get Cory Joseph back literally. I’d rather sign Cory Joseph to a minimum contract and trade. I love this banter between Seagull and Matt George. Brett Seagull, just a heads up by the way, Matt George is a friend and one of the best series when it comes to King’s coverage. There are two sides to every story and with these two teams there are always a multitude of direction things can go. Neither points are wrong uh as both are facts. Neither points are wrong as both are facts. Interesting. Uh uh just trying to read through some stuff here. Stuff is wild man. But again, if we trade for if we trade Kaminga for Surich and uh and Devin Carter, who who in fairness, Devin Carter’s shown some stuff like I I don’t hate Devin Carter, but what did he play? How many games? Because he he missed the first part of his rookie. He played 36 games and averaged 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists. He shot 29.5% from the floor and 37% from three-point range. Can someone tell me what the Warriors are doing with that next season? Tell me. Tell me what they’re doing with that. Like why? I just Oh man. Like why would the Warriors do this deal? I would prefer them but to say Kaminga take the qualifying offer. As disastrous as that would be, it’s better than getting bent over by the Kings. man. Uh Andrew the goat says, “Horrible trade idea. If the Warriors do this, they would be dumb. I don’t want Dario Serge back on the Warriors. He is trash.” Just blow says, “So we’re just going to sit and do nothing if Kaminga keeps playing hard ball. Hate the offseason as a double champ.” Well, that’s the other thing is like do the Warriors just think, “All right, let’s get it over and done with.” Right? Like do you do you just say, “Look, we just got to move on. Let’s do the deal for Sich Carter. Um, let me just let me just double check. I’m looking up these CBA rules myself. Uh, trading an NBA empire immediately. Let me look this up because I’m I’m pretty sure this is the rule, but for some reason all this reporting says Surge and Carter can come together. Okay. Players who were recently traded can be flipped again immediately. However, unless they were acquired via cap room, they can’t be traded again immediately in a deal that aggregates their salary with another players for matching purposes. They didn’t use cap room. They traded Jonas Valentunis. So, all this reporting about this trade, is it not flatout illegal? Is it It’s just illegal, isn’t it? Like, someone tell me I’m wrong. Uh, Empire says, “Dario Sage had one good season. Warriors should not be thinking about him at all.” I actually when when Dario signed with the Warriors, I actually liked it on a vet min. I was up and about. And you know what? The first like two months, he was pretty good. Remember that there was that stat the first like two months of the season where it was like no Warrior had a 20point game for like the first 20 games outside Steph except for Dario. Dar had like one 20 point game and then every other 20point game by a Warrior was Steph and just no one could score more than 20 aside from Steph. Good times. Uh S says every player has different rules for being traded multiple times. I think Jimmy can only be traded six months after he was traded to the Warriors. The Jimmy one is not because he was traded, right? It’s because he did the extension. Jimmy can’t be traded for 6 months after the extension. That’s why he can’t be traded to August 6. Not because of the trade, but because of the extension. Brody says, “What about BBO? He’s great in 2K.” H love me some BB valet who reported on the 17 trade. All right, let me get into this quickly before we get back to the Kaminga stuff. Uh Fred Katz of The Athletic said that the Houston Phoenix trade involving Kevin Durant uh may be expanded here to a 17 trade that involves I haven’t got the article up. It was the Warriors, it was the Hawks, it was the Lakers, it was the Nets, maybe. Uh, in fact, let me just get it up now. I believe that’s it was the Rocket Suns, Warriors, Hawks, Nets, Lakers, and Timberwolves. Right. So, seven team trade centered around Kevin Durant. But don’t get too excited if you’re a Warrior fan. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to be too much aside from the the the draft the draft trades they made in terms of uh trading with the Suns to go from 41 back to 52 and 59. It seems like that’s just going to be part of an expanded 17 trade. Doesn’t seem like there’s anything else going on in that regard if it does work out to be a 17 trade. So, it’s I mean it’s got the potential to potentially expand into something more significant maybe, but um by what Katz has said, it’s just the draft, the the the trade that the Warriors made with the Suns hours leading up to the draft is what’s going to be involved in that. Uh Addie Sean says, “Brother get Dwight Howard. Come on, Dubs. Please do better.” Farley says, “No, not Sar and Devin Carter.” Roy says, “Yeah, no. If we get Sar and Carter and two first, I’ll honestly give up on the season before it already starts.” Two first. Two first is I could I could do it’s the Kings. I could do two unprotected first. That’s fine. I think if anyone said, “Let’s get two first round picks for Kaminga unprotected from the Kings.” You do that. So, actually, two first is fine, but they’re saying two seconds. Ain’t no way I’m doing two seconds. Uh Romy says, “Vuin AO for Kaminga.” Nope. That can’t work financially anyway. Uh if it’s going to be the Bulls, it’s got to be Kobe White. But I think I’d prefer the Kings and Keegan or I’d prefer the Pearls with Herb Jones. They’re the two right now. Uh Swin says, “If we trade JK for Dario, then Dun Levy got to go.” Imagine saying, can can you imagine being Mike Dun Levy and going to a press conference and trying to validate the reasoning as to why you traded a guy that averaged 25 points in the last four games of the playoffs on over 55% shooting from the floor. and you traded him for a guy who was out of your rotation 15 16 months ago who then signed with Denver and played 16 total games for the season, zero playoff games, and played a grand total of 210 minutes. Not through injury, but because he was just not good enough to be part of a rotation that beyond the starting five flatout sucked. The Nuggets bench sucked. They’ve done amazingly well to address that so far in the last few days. like they are one of if not the biggest winner the free agency so far. Unbelievable work from from the Nuggets. But if they had some kind of depth this past season, they probably would have won the chip, right? Sorry could not see the flaw for them. Yeah. Like imagine being done Levy trying to validate the reasoning why you made that deal. Warriors cannot be that stupid. Even if the alternative is the is the qualifying offer. The real Buddha says Deon was a lotto pick just. Yeah, like fine. But what are the Warriors trying to The Warriors have got these three old guys. They’re trying to sign a 39year-old Al Hawford. What’s Devin Cart? You reckon Steve Kerr is going to rock up at training camp. Look at Devin Carter and be like, “Yeah, man. Can’t wait to play you 25 minutes.” Yeah. I don’t think he’s going to be doing that. He does that with pods to be fair, but I don’t think he’s doing that with Devin Carter. TPP student says, “Is there any way of getting Kobe and Vuch for come bucket?” Uh, no, not financially. In fact, you’d struggle to do cuz this base basic compensation rule, which means the Warriors can’t take can only take 50% of what Kaminga actually gets. So, basically, you’re looking if Kaminga say Kaminga gets 25, which is probably on the high end. Now, if Kaminga gets 25 a year, the Warriors can take back 12 1/2. Now, if they stay under the first apron, I think they can take back an extra 7 and a half. So, they can take back 20, but that would be the max, right? Otherwise, you could include Moody’s contract, you could include Buddy Heel, you could include any player, I suppose. Um, but no, you can’t do uh Kaminga for Kobe White and V. You can do Kaminga for Kobe White because he makes around that mark. And you can do Kaminga for Keegan Murray because he can he make he’s around that market just over 11. So make that make one of those two trades. Fine. I’m I’m a happy man. But otherwise there’s not too many options. Well, look, Valet says him uh FJK. Man, him on the team is becoming a distraction. It soaks up all the dialogue. Just being gone with it already. Honestly, I don’t ever want to say JK’s name again. Uh he’s you know what to me he’s still a warrior player and until he ain’t a warrior player uh then I’m going to value him like I think he can become a really good player in this league honestly. Uh just quickly on the Hawford thing. Are we getting a bit concerned with the Hawford thing? part of me is, but the other part of me is like optimistic that we’re just waiting on what happens with Kaminga and that therefore Hawford will sign immediately after there’s some kind of Kaminga deal done. My goodness. Swin says, “Rom said it said it. Get Vu. I’ve been saying it all season. I don’t want Vu for Kaminga.” I don’t because you’re trading a 22y old for a 35y old who’s questionable defensively. Would I rather Vivic on 21 a.5 million or Hawford making the mid level at 5.7. Horford’s just I know he doesn’t put the points up as much as Vuvich, right? And doesn’t put up even the rebounding numbers that Vuvich does, but I actually think Hawford might still like in terms of you’re trying to win. I think Hawford has proven that he is a can be a key piece to a team that wins in the Celtics. He has proven that right throughout his entire career. Have you seen how many playoff games Nicola Vuchic has played? I’m pretty sure I can count it on both hands. He ain’t playing the playoffs and I think there’s a reason for that over his 15year career. So, you can look at the pretty numbers of Nicola Vuch and I was for Vuch before the deadline because I wanted to see something different. But I would much much prefer the Warriors just to sign Alford at 5.7. Absolutely. Uh Young West says realistic how much realistically how much a year do you think Kaminga is worth? Well like right now or like because all of this has got to come down to like okay what can he be in the future, right? And that’s what you got to take into account with these young players. if he was just coming back to the Warriors, right? If if if this was let’s say if you go back to if if if Kaminga was end of year three right now and we were talking about a possible extension, right? 25 max. Probably 20, I think. I don’t know. I think 20. But and I’d be I’d be willing to go up to 25 per year. Uh, the real Buddha says, “This is the tampering period.” Uh, Damik says, “I’d rather have Keon Ellis as opposed to Sturage.” Absolutely. You can, you know what? Throw throw Keon Ellis in with Keegan Murray. I’ll have that. That’s a GP to upgrade. Mint. Not sure you’re building a trade around him, but he’d be like if he’s like the sec like I’d almost prefer him I think over Carter, which I know Carter is a lottery pick last year, but again if the Warriors are trying to win next season, I think Ellis could be a pretty decent upgrade to Payton, so I’ll take that. Swish says Kings offer is such a joke. L. Yeah, literally laughable and also I think not possible if if I’m right about the CBA. Swin says JK is only worth around 15 million. Swin says, “Does anyone think the Warriors signed Damen Lillard?” Hope so. Talked about this yesterday on the live stream. I want Dame on a minimum minimum. Absolutely. Does he take the minimum? Maybe two years. We’ve got 46 minutes into this and we haven’t talked about Dame. We have talked about Eightton going to the Lakers. Hopefully Aidton going to the Lakers clears the path for Hawford to come to the Warriors. Uh Swin says JK is not going to be the superstar people think he he uh he thinks sorry JK is not going to be the superstar superstar people think he is he’s about scoring only basically and that he’s only worth around 15 million. Jeremy Price Kaminga Draymond a Moody for Giannis. Would you take it? Sign me up. Sign me up. Get that. Get me a pen straight away. You’re doing that every day of the week. And let’s be honest, you’re throwing all the picks in ad pods probably. Uh the real Buddha says king’s got a Timberwolves pick. H is this in in terms of what? Jasper says two second round picks. I’m offing myself. Brody says, “Is there any way the Warriors could frontload a Kaminga contract to give him like 45 mil the first year so we can take more back?” Uh, no, because that team has to be willing to take the 45 million and then who’s again there’s no team with cap room. So, no, that can’t happen. Uh, as much as I get where I get you thinking I get you thinking, but no. Joshua says, “Is it possible for Warriors can get Keegan for JK?” It’s very financially viable. It’s financially viable. Abs. It’s the one that makes the most sense from a financial perspective because every other player the Kings have make more than what the Warriors can really take back aside from Monk. But the Warriors, it’s reported the Warriors don’t want Monk. So again, the deal would have been done already, I think, if they want a Monk. Then we’ve got these uh three team sign and trade things that suggest that uh the the Monk’s going to go to the Pistons, which is interesting. Uh but yeah, anyway, Post, sorry, I just read someone talking about Quinton Post. Um but is it possible they can get Keegan? Absolutely. It’s possible. Whether the Kings are going to go for it, unlikely. Very unlikely. At least if you’re talking to Kings fans. Kings fans. I think Ray Al Ray Almeida who does say a lot about this Warrior stuff. Devin Carter, Dario Serge and draft compensation to Golden State were indeed one of the king’s offers for Kima first reported by Matt George. All sides are stealing weight and CMO for alternative options. Like I must be completely wrong on this. I am totally totally wrong on this apparently in regard to the Surich thing. Anyway, I’m just reading through some of this stuff. I’m going to crash out though if we see Kaminga for Dario Saridge, Devin Carter and two second round picks. Man, hope it doesn’t happen while I’m on live stream because it’ll be emotional. Uh some people might enjoy that. Uh Jeremy Price, I hope Post can learn how to box out and play in the paint behind playing behind Horford. Yeah, absolutely. And I think QP is going to be when you get a noty on your watch and it’s nothing to do with a trade. Uh, hang on, someone emailed me. What’s um, yeah, I I think Hford would be a great great veteran leader for Quinton Post. And I don’t like Quinton came back out and said it I think on 95.7 the game last week like he said like he doesn’t necessarily expect a starting role kind of thing. Uh so I’m I’m sure he’d be fine playing as a backup. Uh and I think the the ideal situation here, the absolute ideal situation would be that they kind of share the minutes next season that the Warriors always have our Hawford in their back pocket as the veteran guy who they can go to in the big moments. but that by the end of the season, Quinton Post actually develops to a point where you could go into the following season thinking we’re okay with him being the starting center. We’re okay. Now, will he reach that point? I have my question marks, but that’s the that’s the ideal scenario here. Valet says, I honestly think JK’s reps have failed him. He doesn’t have a market. If he did, he would be gone. Teams only want him if they can swindle GSW by getting him. So my question is so this obviously this deal that’s been proposed so I don’t even think it works because of the s just got like sorry just got brought in and for some reason I think he he can’t be aggregated with contracts but again everything reporting this says that he can so whatever but even then like financially so what are the kings giving because there’s nothing here that says what Kaminga’s getting out of this. What’s Kaminga getting? I don’t think there’s like what what’s what’s the contract to make this work? Very interested in that. Uh uh at Gouble Y says they’re trying to trade the most athletic player on the team. LMAO Dunle is a horrible GM. They’re trying to trade the most athletic guy on the team for the most unathletic guy in the league maybe in Dario Suridge. Again, I’m not I don’t want to turn this into a Dario Surich hatefest, but like come on guys. Seriously. Uh, all right. Sorry, still getting through some comments here. Uh, the Warriors are better off keeping JK unless a trade deadline if they can’t get back valuable assets during the summer. Yeah, like just worst comes to worse, signing to a contract and say we’ll try and move you by the deadline. Like just play it out until then. It’s it’s not ideal. Like let’s be honest, it’s not ideal, but it’s better than getting Dario Saridge and Deon Carter. Uh Valet says Hy is waiting like Dario was waiting to sign with us a couple years ago, remember? Yeah. Yeah, that was was that like a week into free agency? Maybe. Young West says, “Can we get Mo Vagna?” I’m assuming he’s going to go back to Sac uh to Orlando, but uh yes, I wouldn’t mind him. Is he a starting quality center? No. But he’s a pretty decent backup. I feel like if you got him then would you try and ship out TJD maybe? Cuz do you need all four guys? I suppose the hard thing with Vagner is he’s coming off a significant injury. So how much can you really rely upon him? I don’t know. Ver says Horford is solid. Let’s lock him in. Absolutely. Switch says, “Rather get Trey Murphy or Herb Jones from the Pelicans for JK plus filler.” Yep, agree. Empire says, “I think if JK went to the G- League for a while, he would fit on the Warriors. Every young player in the Warriors went to Santa Cruz GL and fit the system perfectly. Only Kaminga don’t.” Uh, yeah. Well, they ain’t sending Kaminga to the G- League in year five. I promise you that. Uh, Val says JK based on the current market is a 15 million per year player. Fellow says, “If you grew up playing ball in New Zealand, Australia that then GWS is not hard. It’s ball and player movement and quick decision- making. It’s them USA boys that want to iso too much and that’s how the ball sticks.” Alex Tui did mention that in his uh press conference. He said that the Warriors system is very Australianike and that therefore he should um fit in quite well and hopefully he can. We’ll wait and see. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in summer league. Uh Ratherford says, “How do how do one know if you are the one who takes the half?” What’s the question? As in half the half the contract. So the base here compensation rules means that whatever Kaminga gets on his contract, the Warriors can only take back 50% them to rules. Fullcourt dream is this seven team trade deal. Uh, is this 17 trade deal going to be a thing? Even if it’s a thing, the only cool thing about it is that it’s an NBA record seven team trade, which the current record is the six team trade we saw with Clay last season, which landed the Warriors, obviously Kyle Anderson and Buddy Heel. So, that’s really the only cool thing from a Warriors standpoint. Sounds like all that’s involved is the picks that they traded um away and for on um when was it? Thursday night draft, second round. Uh Jay Flossy Warriors Tripping Rutherford. If you have the higher value, you can only take half the value. It’s yeah, the base compensation rule that I just mentioned. Uh Duskin says, “Why not Ben Simmons or FS? You can probably get these guys for cheap cuz those guys cannot shoot. The Warriors need shooting desperately. They’ve got Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, both of which are not respected from beyond the ark.” Jay says, “Clean house. We’re not winning a chip anytime soon.” You’re probably right, but I’m not sure they’re tearing it down anytime soon either. Uh, I’m the best nerd. The storage trade isn’t official. They can loop him in. Still not doing it though. But if they loop him in, then it would have to be a four team trade. Am I right with with Denver involved? I suppose. Have the Kings done any kind of welcome to Sacramento Dario Surich? Just out of interest. That’d be hilarious. Uh, okay, cool. That’s No, they they haven’t reported on that trade. So, I suppose, yeah, you’re right. Like, it’s not official, so they could reroute him because it’s not official. That makes some sense, but then it would have to be kind of a four team trade, including the Nuggets. Uh yeah. Uh uh Rancuno Dun Lever really made a mistake giving Jimmy a huge extension and now we can’t build a decent squad around Steph. We lost Looney because of those huge contracts with Steph. Jimmy Dre probably be I’m not sure how much helpful it would be how or how helpful it would be but I think it would be somewhat beneficial. It certainly wouldn’t hurt if Jimmy got like the $40 million per year deals that Kyrie and James Harden are now on rather than the 55 saving that 10 $15 million a year might have been helpful right about now. So yes, you’re absolutely right. Duskin says, “I definitely think Pelicans overpaid for Looney.” Absolutely they did. They absolutely overpaid. I’m not I’m shocked dead set shocked that Cavalon Looney got two years 16 uh Josh Blow says, “I’m not not excited for uh the Pods Lead Warriors in three years.” Steph’s still playing in three years. Don’t worry. Steph’s still playing in five. He’s getting to 42. Jeremy Price, you think Richard uh is going to see time this season outside of Santa Cruz? Uh it’s very it’s impossible to say right now, but it it will also depend on because he could be a possible like GP2 replacement. Uh whether he’s going to be playing a rotation role, we’ll we’ll wait and see. Uh, I would be uh Sam Aik just responded to Anthony Slater said, “This applies to the Kings as well, I’m told. Zero progress there. Um, good. If this Kaminga to Sacramento thing falls over, good, good. That’s much better than taking Dario Surich and Deon Carter. Uh El L El L El Remolino says JK can’t shoot. No, that’s half the problem with his fit of the Warriors. He can’t shoot and you can’t have that next to Draymond and uh Jimmy. So, they need shooters, which is exactly why Keegan Murray would be great. Uh Roy says that the Kings trying to fleece the dubs. Yep, they are trying to fleece them hard and for hopefully the Warriors tell them to piss off. Uh, Divide says, “We’re getting Malik Monk for Kaminga and picking up Hawford.” Like, it’s obvious. If it was so obvious, they would have done it. Like, they literally would have done it to me. Like, cuz Monk is clearly available. Like, if that trade, if the Warriors were interested in that, then they would have done that trade by now. But the other, and that’s why I’m also optimistic, is like if they’re turning down Monk, who’s actually decent. Like Monk’s a decent player. Like if they’re turning that down, then why would they accept Devin Carter Suridge in two seconds? Like seriously. Just Blow says, “Uh uh, when I saw the new Aussie pick, I instantly knew you’d love it, man. Summer League Saturday. Well, Sunday my time. 8:30 a.m. I’ll be waking up. Beautiful time. Watch it. Three Aussies in action. Taran Arm. I’m You know what? Tui great. Like Alex Tui fantastic. I’m actually more interested in Taran Armstrong. Partly because Taran Armstrong is the legit only NBA player that comes from my home state. So that’s the biggest factor probably. And also like 66 guard like he’s interesting. Excellent playmaker. impressed in Santa Cruz’s last 11 games. I’m I’m like I’m keen to see both of them. And then Alex Higgins Titcher is also on the summer league squad. Josh Bo says, “I’d rather have Ben Simmons over TJD.” Hm. Interesting. Like I wouldn’t hate that actually. Just get an all Aussie squad. Let’s do it. Why did Joe Engles have to sign with Minnesota? Bring him in too. Patty Mills. Welcome him back. Well, back. He’s never been on the Warriors, but anyway, welcome him back to the NBA because I reckon his NBA career might be done. Uh Jeremy Price says, “Sign and trade Dame along with Kaminga for BAM in Miami.” Dame, we don’t even have Dame. H bit ahead of yourself. Uh the Connect Rock says JK is averaging 15 points a game. Kelly Ubra averages 15 points. Kelly makes 8 million a year. True, but Kelly Ubé actually has a significant role. Kiminga’s role goes up and down like a yo-yo. Kelly Ubé is fairly uh established in the league as a veteran player now. Kiminga’s 22 with upside. Like that’s what you got to pay. You got to pay for some of that upside. Uh Demain says, “Why do they want picks when they’re in wind now mode? Are they going after Giannis?” I’m not sure two second round picks from the Kings is going to do much for you in terms of trading for Giannis anyway. So what’s the point? Swoosh. I’m bagging Draymond and filler and picks for Bam. I don’t care. Try and make that work. Divide says, “Dude, I love Looney Even though we needed to get rid of him. Lo, he was my fave.” Yep. Switch says, “Loon will be missed.” Absolutely. Absolutely. We wish Cavan Looney all the best aside from when he’s playing the Warriors. Really happy that he got the contract that he did. Absolutely fantastic. Um, is it a disaster that he’s left the Warriors? No. Like, I think it was just got to one of those situations where it was best for player and franchise to move on from each other. a little bit like a little bit like Clay last off season. A little bit just on a smaller scale which meant that it wasn’t as it didn’t create as much attention. Uh but yeah, we’ll hopefully work out for both parties. Uh Julian says, “Malik Monkey is a baller, but the Lakers just got eight for free. We’re cooked either way.” Uh yeah, the eight thing. Good pick up for the Lakers. Will it bring some concerns? Yes, maybe. Um, but for the value you’re paying the guy $8 million, pretty good pickup. Uh, Divide says, “I’m telling you if we get Malik Monk and sorry, go back to you. If we get Malik Monk and Hawford, don’t tell me Warriors is not in conference finals. Like look what they did this year and if Curry didn’t get injured, bro, just like just imagine.” Okay. Tyler McNair, Dario Sarich, and Devin Carter. HR says he’s from Oakland. Who? Taran Armstrong. He’s from Tasmania. Tasmania, Australia. Uh, Andra says, “Taran going to be our new Tai Jerome.” Not a bad comp. Be great if he could become Tai Jerome. That’d be great. Not sure he’s going to get to that level. Um, but we’ll wait and see. Rancuna says, “Do you think we offered eight in a contract too or done leave you forget it’s already free? Ay warriors do something.” I think we’re just locked into Horford. I think we’re locked into Horford. Julian says Horford being the big official reel in is pretty sad. Like I just don’t know what else you want them to do. Like they can’t they can’t really do anything. Uh this is interesting from this is from Anthony Irwin uh who’s a Lakers insider. While Aiden was the most talented big on the market, sources say the Lakers are somewhat split internally on whether he would should be considered their starting center. Ideally, they would like to land someone around his talent level with a different skill set, floor spacing, especially, but the key term used most often when describing their intentions of the position has been depth. Surely Aiden hasn’t agreed to go to Lakers without a guarantee of being the starter. Surely uh Ubé went zero off 31 from three for us. just below Curry Dane, Ben Simmons, Draymond on Post is a top three lineup. The Ben Simmons love here is wild. Uh F2P says, “If we get out, what would you think our starting lineup would be?” Well, it’s hard to say without knowing what happens with the Kiminga situation, but I think you’d probably have like Steph Pods, Jimmy Day on Hford like at the moment. I suppose based on the current roster, people seem to just want to push pods back to the bench. Like just whenever I see starting lineup combinations for the Warriors, it’s like they never include pods. And that might be your dream, but I’m thinking about it from a Steve Kerr perspective. And we know Steve Kerr loves pods. And we also know Pods has like led the Warriors in plus minus the last two years combined. the the last two years combined, the first two years of his career, cumulatively, he’s led the Warriors in plus minus. The Warriors are better when he’s on the floor. If a guy leads, if a guy has the best plus minus on the team over the last two years, should that guy not be a starter? I’m sorry. I know people won’t like to hear it, but is that just not what should happen? Like uh Preven says, “Isn’t the 17 trade just including our draft night trades?” Yep. Doesn’t really mean too much. Young Where’s Daryl Sar and Deon Carter is comedy. How about adding Brad Waker? Bring back Eric. Eric Pascal’s been going viral lately for his comments in regards to Steph. Um Jeremy Price says, “Wonder who’s going to pick up West Bro. Maybe the Kings. Who knows?” Tyler McNair three team trade sending Jonathan Kim to California rivaling works. Stubs landing 610 Croatian. I just read this. Oh, is there a 610 Croatian that ain’t named Dario Surich? Can someone give me someone else? Uh uh. H Divide says, “If you’re a true Warrior fan, it hit the same as Clay.” I’m not sure it hits the same as Clay. I got a cat called Clay. I love Clay. That was sad last year. Uh, Lon is up there, no doubt. But Clay, like Clay’s a top three or four player in this franchise’s history, you would say. I’m not sure. I’m not sure Lon is getting is at that point. Uh, F2P Pelicans about to cook the Warriors with the Looney Pool Canon lineup. They might even get Moody in JK. Mr. Level said Lakers still going after Hawford. Bit of a concern. Ratherford, Luca, and LeBron can’t play without center and they got eighton. Doming says Warriors should try to get signed. Trey Lyles. I don’t hate it. I don’t hate it. Divide says, “What happened with Pat Spencer?” Well, the Warriors didn’t give him a qualifying offer. Uh, so it looks like he’s probably gone, I’d imagine. Unless he gets a main roster, unless they like sign him in like late in agency or something. I just Yeah, I think he might be gone. HR. Mango, papaya, or guava? I’m a mango fan. Valet says Lakers are going to be a comedy team. Divide says Braun is not winning another ring, bro. Just playing to play. Is a chance he might get we’re going to get LeBron to the Warriors at some point here. The chance Kawaki we talked about it in his article today. Butler come come August 6, nearly a month’s time. Butler for LeBron. Fer says I want to get to Anthony Melton back. So do I. Liam says pod should definitely start based on the current roster. Yes. Like I just Yes, he should. Like there’s no other. You could you could talk me into other options. Like if the Warriors got Keegan Murray and then they could start Steph, Jimmy, Keegan, Draymond on Hawford. Yeah, sure. Put Pods back to the bench. But again, like you just can’t ignore the fact he’s led the team in plus minus over the last two years and he should theoretically get better. Like Mr. Level said Hin can only play 15 20 minutes a game. Fine. 20 minutes I’m and can’t play back to backs. Okay, cool. Post you can play you can be the starter in back to backs and you can play 20 minutes and Hawford can play 20 minutes and Draymond plays 8 minutes of small ball and we’ll see what happens with TJD. Maybe he gets he shows some development. Rancuna says at this point just sign Valkyy’s player seems like Joe Laker wants to stay out of the apron things. Uh Valet says Pods is just a little lacking the tools to guard PoA. Yeah, but on the current roster there’s not really an alternative. So, we’ll just see how the rest of this plays out. Divide says, “Bro, Hawin post is catch and shoot is so dangerous, bro. I have one of them on the floor at all times.” Absolutely. Fellow says, “I love pods, but he lacks lateral speed.” Pods don’t fit with Steph. Don’t fit with Steph. He’s led the team in plus minus over the last two years, and I’m pretty sure Steph Curry’s been playing pretty considerable dive over the last two years. That would suggest they fit together. Uh just below says if Pods takes that offensive step uh we could be nice. He he needs to if the Warriors like if the Warriors uh I’m just trying I’m just reading some comments here sorry on Twitter. Uh if the Warriors want to try and get can like anywhere close to OKC Houston Denver then Pods is going to have to take some significant leap and if Kaminga comes back he’s going to have to take a leap as well. Liam Reed says we aren’t trading Kaminga for sorry whoever said that needs to never comment again. Well, that’s actually been reported. That’s legitimately being reported uh by NBC Sports, but also Anthony and I Slater is the man. Slater’s the man on this stuff. Whatever Slater says, I’m taking it as gospel. And he said there’s nothing near the finish line on the Jonathan Kaminga front. Man, I’m not going to be It’s 3:15 p.m. You guys are probably going to be a like you guys in America are probably going to be able to go to sleep and like nothing’s going to happen while you sleep. I ain’t going to be sleeping tonight cuz otherwise I’m going to miss stuff which is going to piss me off. Uh someone on Twitter here says, “Is Devin Carter actually older than Kaminga?” He actually is. Devin Carter is older than Kaminga. Man, that just makes it worse. Uh although that could help. That could actually incentivize the Warriors. Warriors are looking for old players. Uh Mark says, “Trade Moody for Monk. Can’t do that straight up financially.” Mr. Level says, “That means we’re relying on post to make a jump. I don’t believe in TJD.” Liam Re says, “Mr. Level hates Al Hawford for no reason.” in HR. I like Pods as a one-tw backup off the bench. Two small poor defenders. Pirate Pods is sneaky good. He’ll be a 40% three eventually. Casuals just can’t see it. The advance numbers on that man are terrific. And that’s why like that’s why Steve loves him. It’s not like Steve just loves him for no reason. It’s because the Warriors win when he’s on the floor. It’s just facts. Dead set facts. You can’t escape that. You can tell me he’s not quick enough laterally. You can tell me his three ball comes and goes. You can tell me that he doesn’t finish around the rim enough like well enough and that he when he gets to the paint he stops and stuffs the offense up. Cool. You can tell me all these different things. Look at the numbers when he’s on the floor compared to when he’s off. That’s what it it’s a winning game at the end of the day. Like that’s why like plus minus can be deceiving, don’t get me wrong, but plus minus across the course of an entire season is telling very very telling. And we’ve got two years now of Pods being a very very good player when it comes to the plus minus numbers. Uh Young West says Pods is a solid seventh or eighth man. Maybe he can play a TJ McConnell type role. No, I think I think he can be hopeful. I know TJ McConnell did some stuff in the finals, but I think he can be better. Uh I’m going to finish this up in five minutes, guys, because I’ve actually got a haircut that I need to go to. Uh MVX900 says, “Caminger or Malik Monk, who you taking?” Uh, it depends what your roster is like, I think. Um, obviously Monk is more proven. I get that, but I’m I’m not disappointed with the fact that the Warriors are seemingly turning down Monk. I’m not disappointed with that. Liam Reed says, “15 a.m. for me. Man, you should go to sleep because I don’t think there’s going to be anything happening in the next five or six hours, but by the time it’s like midnight my time, something could happen. Uh, Ace says, “Pods is a good WNBA player.” Man, the pods hate. I don’t Why? Divide says Monk a thousand% because Kaminga doesn’t fit our play style. We need shooters. We need shooters. Yeah. So, this Monk is a shooter. Yeah. He also shot 32 and a half% from three last season. So it’s not like he’s lights out. Uh uh Akubo says, “I think Moody, Buddy, and Pod should not be starters.” I think ideally I’m okay like I’m okay with Pods being a starter. I think like if we got an upgrade there, great. But I think this current version of the roster fine. I probably agree with you on the Moody and Buddy healed. Certainly the buddy healed side of things certainly and you probably don’t want Moody as a starter either. Rancuno, sorry for JK is the most worriers offseason move ever. If that would happen, we’re just the king of rumors and get nothing in the end. I that’s just it cannot happen. It blatantly that blatantly cannot happen. Can’t uh Khan says we better make trades at the deadline. Liam says JK to the Kings for Suridge is brain dead when we can get a Herb Jones level player for him. I’m not even sure we can get a Herb Jones level player for him. But like just keep JK like Dario Sarich. Oh, this has been a Dario Sarich hate fest and I apologize to Dario. I apologize to him and his family. Apologize the whole Croatia. This is just the reality of it. We ain’t giving up Jonathan Kaminga for you. Preven says, “Pod is a winning player, high defensive IQ guy who needs to improve his shooting decisiveness, but he’s a solid 25 30 minute player.” Absolutely. Julian says, “Brat your hair. He’s looking clean AF already.” Uh, appreciate that. Uh, let’s do another let’s do another live stream tomorrow and you’ll you’ll see it. Uh, M. Level says, “Jock Landal might be a real option for us.” Yes, another Australian. We’re going to make the Australian national team here. Baby Cake says, “Six man is a luxury. Pods is good, but I don’t think you should start over Kaminga.” Well, he has to because of the shooting variant of this. Absolutely. Uh, Baby Cakes, give me Taran before pods. Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Divide says, “Bro, I really want Al again.” I’m pretty optimistic hopefully that he’s just waiting to sign with the Warriors after the Kiminga stuff happens. Uh there’s a lot of Pod stuff going on. Uh if you all like Pod so much, what happened when DA Anthony Melton got hurt? Pod started all those games and we was losing. Okay, it’s a fair point. It’s a fair point, but then I could say, well, what happened in in the second half of the season when Pods was a starter again and the Warriors went on a massive run? Like I think Pods is really good as like your fourth, fifth starter. Like you don’t want because that’s the issue is I think when he was a starter earlier in the season, the Warriors just didn’t have enough offense and so there was like too much pods, right? But then when he gets shunted back a little bit because Butler comes in and now all of a sudden he doesn’t have this huge reliance. There’s no this there’s not a huge reliance on him offensively. Then he can sit back into this supplementary role. He’s like your fourth or fifth starter. That’s that’s like he’s a connective piece. That’s great. That’s fine. It’s why I’m concerned. Like I’m not sure he’s ever going to become a star. He’s not going to be a guy that can be a second or third guy on a team where you’re giving him the ball and asking him to make plays. But as a fourth or fifth starter, he he can be that for the next 15 years, I think, and that’s very valuable. Uh Liam says taran over ports is wild, but he’s basically never touched the court. Baby cakes, he just talking a talk. Ah, maybe he’s Australian. Is he a hope he’s Australian? Maybe that’s the case. Uh, baby cakes got him. Put the bait out. He caught a fish. Well played. Uh, I’m going to finish it up on that note on the best net cuz I don’t get the pods. Hades a really impactful player. He’s too small and a bad defender next to Steph says HR. Uh, Akubo says we better not pick up LeBron. If we can afford him, we might as well go for Giannis. Uh, Preven says, “The big thing about Pods is that he’s not who you want to be. You’re a good decision maker at 22, but he’s a good role player who contributes to winning over basketball.” Yeah, absolutely. All right, I’m going to finish it up there, guys. I’ve been going for another hour and 20 minutes again, and this is three straight live streams, over an hour. Uh, I’ve absolutely enjoyed it. It’s been a range of emotions with this uh with this Dario Surich stuff and Kaminga going at the Kings potentially. And nothing has happened as of yet. Uh, I’m probably going to not be able to sleep later tonight. I’m just going to be there’s gonna be FOMO, fear of missing out on a uh on a trade, obviously. Look, my plan is that uh I’ll be back again 2 p.m. tomorrow or 2 p.m. my time, 9:00 p.m. uh for those of you on the West Coast in America, uh to do another live stream as we have the last 3 days now. Thank you for the ongoing support. If something happens like early early tomorrow, uh then I will maybe be back on earlier than that for a live stream. Uh but we’ll just wait and see what happens here over the next 12 hours or so because things could get pretty wild if Dario Sarich is a member of the Warriors again in the next 24 hours. It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be tough. Anyway, let’s uh finish it up there. Thanks again, guys. If you haven’t subscribed to YouTube channel already, that would be greatly appreciated. You can follow me at PO252. That’s PK252X/T Twitter. And I’ll see you guys again in 24 hours time. Thank you so much again.

Come and have your say as rumors fly surrounding the Sacramento Kings interest in Jonathan Kuminga, along with what the Golden State Warriors could get back in a sign-and-trade! Plus, the Warriors could be involved in an historic seven-team Kevin Durant, but it isn’t as crazy as what you might think…

  1. goes to show how little interest there is for kuminga for the price he is asking. like sure he might be a good player, but will he actually make ur team better? rebounds, defense, passing, basketball IQ…. like if ur not gonna be winning with him om the team, is there a point trading for him?

  2. Loseminga Stans finding out how little the NBA values him just like I've been saying for years now. Waking up from delusion is always good though.

  3. I understand the Warriors could not do much without nailing the JK issue. I read Pelicans are looking at JK. What about JK+Moody+Heild for Herb Jones+Trey Murphy and sign Al and/or Damian/D'Anthony?

  4. Kings are keen on Kuminga cause they think he's in a buy low situation. They wont trade Murray for potential, that I'm certain. Kings have too many guards at the moment which is why you hear so much noise on Monk.
