Jazz Trade Collin Sexton To Hornets For Jusuf Nurkic

yo what’s going on guys And today we’ll be talking about the Yseph Nerkage Colin Saxton trade which I think actually works out for both parties First off Colin Saxton is the perfect six-man for the Charlotte Hornets who I really think are going to be a team going for it And basically this is what the reports we are hearing So Charlotte is acquiring the 2032nd from the Utah Jazz as the Jazz are trading Colin Saxon in a 2032nd round to Yos to the Charlotte Hornets for Yseph Nerkage Basically taking on Yseph Nerkage to get off of Colin Ston’s contract And the whole purpose is that is look the Hornets are acquiring you know now more depth and trying to be a more competitive team with a lot more scoring options and kind of an insurance policy if Lonzo Ball I mean my apolog Jazz get front court depth and Nerkage who the Jazz according to Shan Sherania like which this in my opinion gives one team flax you know both players are on expiring contracts and if you look at the center market in free agency it wasn’t that good and Colin Saxton and Nerkage both being on expiring contracts and the Jazz and Hornets both needing two separate needs with the Hornets already fixing their front court depth with their draft pick and call what is Colg Runner and then they have themselves kind of like a solid unit going into this preeason in my opinion If you look at right now Lamelo Ball Brandon Miller Kona Miles Bridges Musa Deioate Ryan Culprunner Grant Williams St John Saloon Dejan Saloon Caulkrunner and Musa Dioate are their centers And they’ll probably go get somebody else in free agency and Liam McNeely Josh Aogi Seion James Nick Smith Josh Green Colin Saxon Vasy Misich Damen Ba Dcoin Jeff which which like I said they probably wanted a to see what Tan Saloon Musa Dioe and Krenner can do and maybe go out and get another veteran somehow or some way that can stable it But the rest of the team isn’t that bad While Utah they probably wanted to do something like this too By the way Charlotte is definitely going to bring back in my opinion KJ Simpson Trey Man I don’t know about Taj Gibson but they could But I think the first two definitely However Seth Curry and Wendell more To me that’s less likely I could see Seth Curry being more inclined to go like a contender or even join his brother Now the rest going into Utah like we said I think if you look at the free agency market it’s not really great time to be searching for a big man and Utah Walker Kesler Yseph Nerkage I would assume Micah Potter and Oscar Schwebear come back but maybe only one of them returns Either way those three And then you have kind of I guess Taylor Hendrickx the small ball five with John Collins and Kyle Philpowski being your other big man options Then Larry Martin and Cody Williams John Tonj KJ Martin Jaden Springers Bryce Sensah Jordan Clarkson Ace Bailey Isaiah Collier Walter Clayton Keonte George all being there I assume EJ Harkist is coming back right So to me that’s like not a bad squad Like everybody wins there And if we even want to further hamper what I meant by the free agent market not really being that great You ready to hear the centers that are going to be potentially available to employ outside of Brook Lopez and Miles Turner who they both teams would not be going after It would be Clint Compella whose knees are lost Al Horford they wouldn’t be in the market for Luke Cornet I don’t know if you go there but Precious Sichua maybe a Mason Plumbley a Jackson Hayes a Paul Reed a Don Sharp Like I understand why if you wanted to just kind of swap guys and you had an abundance of second round picks if you were Utah it worked out for both teams or maybe that

The Utah Jazz have traded Collin Sexton and a 2031 second-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Jusuf Nurkic, reports ESPN. This move sends a tough, competitive guard to the Hornets’ backcourt, while the Jazz add valuable frontcourt depth with Nurkic, a player they’ve shown strong interest in. Both Sexton and Nurkic are on expiring contracts worth around $19 million each, giving both teams some flexibility moving forward.

In this video, we break down what this trade means for both teams, how it fits their current roster needs, and who comes out ahead in this deal. Don’t miss the full analysis and stay tuned for more NBA trade updates!

  1. Hornets wouldn't do this deal without a plan to further shore up the center spot either via free agency or trade. Day'Ron Sharpe did not get a qualifying offer from the Nets. Isaiah Jackson, Robert Williams, Isaiah Stewart, or trade Claxton, Sabonis maybe convincing the Suns to trade Nick Richards back for enough second rounders.

  2. With the Hornets trading their 2 centers, it would work to bring Ayton over to the East, since Ayton is being bought out. East would be alot easier to make the playoffs this year.
