Dorian Finney-Smith signs with Rockets and D’Angelo Russell signs with Mavs

Dorian Finny Smith has left the Lakers and has signed with the Houston Rockets on a 4-year $53 million deal. And after trading Dylan Brooks to the Suns in that Kevin Durant trade, this is a nice replacement for the Rockets. A 3 and D wing that slots into the starting lineup. But that’s not all the Rockets have done this off season. They’ve resigned free agents Fred Vanvle, Jawan Tate, Aaron Holiday, and Jeff Green. Gave Jabari Smith Jr. a five-year 122 million extension. gave Steven Adams and Ema Udoka an extension and obviously the trade for Kevin Durant. As I said, they’ve got the balance of the veteran leadership along with the young talent. How deep do you think this Houston Rockets team could go in the next season? Let me know down below. I am liking the way this team is building out, but we’ve got some crazy reports from Anthony Irwin, which I’m not sure how reliable of a source he is, but he reported that Rob Pelinka went to other teams talking about Dorian Finny Smith’s ankle to try and tank his free agency value and that got back to Finny Smith in his camp, resulting in him leaving the Lakers, who should really be trying to make Luca Donic happy. Reports are he’s looking to sign an extension with the Lakers soon, but they are still extremely desperate to get a center. And with DeAndre Aton recently being bought out by the Portland Trailblazers, he seems to be a getable target. But in other free agency news, D’Angelo Russell is signing with the Dallas Mavericks on a 2-year, $13 million deal. He reunites with Anthony Davis again. And obviously, Kyrie Irving will be sidelined to begin the season. He’s expected to return around the All-Star break. So D’Angelo Russell slots straight in to the starting lineup. You would only assume he or he even adds just that point guard depth. We know he can shoot the ball. He can be a floor general. He can facilitate. You don’t really need much offense when you’ve got Kyrie Irving, Cooper Flag, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, names like that. But just to have another ball handler to take some pressure off of those players really helps. And the two teams that I strongly believe will be high up in the Western Conference, and I know other people will think the same, the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks, adding some depth to the team. Dorian Finny Smith to the Houston Rockets, and D’Angelo Russell to the Dallas Mavericks. Let me know what you think in the comment section.

  5. As a mav, I like that. I expected CP3 to sign but I like dlo. A bit inconsistent but you cant go wrong with that

  6. DFS did not sign with the Rockets; he agreed to terms. Teams can’t actually sign until July 7. Same is true for every other free agent who agreed in principle to terms today. Just trying to help you.

  7. Lakers is done now. lets see Luka will leave later. It's seem like the AD and No.1 pick to trade away Luka becomes A+ now

  8. Lakers is finished now. Let's see if Luka departs later. It appears that Luka, who was traded away by the AD and the top selection, is now an A+.
