The Denver Nuggets FLEECED the NBA & are the NEW Championship Favorites!

The Denver Nuggets should absolutely be the favorite to win the championship for next season after this incredible off season that they have pulled off. Now, we all understand that the Denver Nuggets lost in the second round to the eventual champions in the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a herculean effort to say the least from Nicole Joic. Jamal Murray was up and down. A lot of things went wrong for the Nuggets when they lost this game. And the fact that they took the Oklahoma City Thunder to seven games was just insane. And that is because they have the best player on the planet. Nobody debates that. Nobody argues that. Joic probably could have won another MVP this year and in my opinion should have won the MVP this year. We understand his greatness. The reason the Nuggets didn’t win at all is because of the surrounding cast and in specific the bench. It was abysmal. They really really struggled to get production on that end when Nicole Joic would go off the floor. It was a historically bad unit. Denver fired their head coach, fired their GM, retoled the front office. They’ve retoled now the second unit. They’ve retoled a little bit of this starting lineup. And I believe this is a team that should be the favorite to win the championship for this upcoming season. I’m all in on the Denver Nuggets already. And I understand the regular season just finished. But boy oh boy, free agency has been an absolute 10 out of 10 for the Denver Nuggets. Let’s recap. First of all, the Nuggets had no depth last season. It was Russell Westbrook, Jaylen Picket, Tyson Naji, and DeAndre Jordan coming off the bench. That is a very, very bad bench if you look at it stacked up with a lot of the other contenders in the Western Conference. And the fact that they took the Oklahoma City Thunder, the eventual champs, to seven games with that bench is honestly unbelievable. And then you look at the bench now. We’ll go through some of the moves they made. First of all, they traded Michael Porter Jr. This was the first domino that started everything. They traded Michael Porter Jr. for Cam Johnson. This was a big time move. Very similar players. They put up like the exact same points per game, very similar assists, very similar shooting numbers, but I think Cam Johnson gives you an edge defensively. Those were the two biggest problem for the Nuggets. It was defense and it was bench production. And the defense was very, very up and down in that Thunder series. There would be so many possessions where everyone’s just jogging back. There was reports throughout the season that Nicole Joic would get very frustrated about the defensive effort the Nuggets would give. That has to change and I think Cam Johnson is a good piece that’s going to help things change with this Michael Porter Jr. swap. Now the next move that they made was signing former Denver Nugget in Bruce Brown. Now he elected to leave the Nuggets. He bounced around a little bit and two years later he’s back with the squad that he won a championship with. I think this is a big- time move for the Nuggets with him coming off the bench now to really help. Christian Braun was kind of his replacement originally. Now you have Bruce Brown to come off the bench and Christian Braun replaces him. This is really exciting for the Nuggets. That was the second big domino. The third big domino that I think was kind of an underrated move was them going out and getting Yonas Valenunis. They had traded for him. didn’t really have to give up much for him. Now you finally have kind of a reliable second big man off the bench for Nicole Joic because when he would go off the floor, there weren’t a lot of great options for this Nuggets team. And a lot of the times there was a few games in that Thunder series where Nicole Joic had to play every single minute and he would just be so gassed in the fourth quarter. So I think if you have a guy like Yonas Valenunis, an experienced grizzled veteran that is an phenomenal rebounder, he can play some defense, he is serviceable. You don’t need anything insane. and you don’t need to go spend all this money. You just needed a serviceable big and that is what Yonis Valenunis gives you at the center position. They got it. They lock down that backup center position. That’s big time for the Denver Nuggets. The final move that they made was signing Tim Hardaway Jr., a sharp shooting three-point sniper that is really big for the Nuggets as well. They added four pieces now for the depth of this team. That really, really helps. You switch out Michael Porter Jr., get a guy that’s similar to him that can help defensively. You add Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. that can come off your bench and can give you three-point shooting. And you add Jonas Valenunis, a guy that can give you depth at the big man position. I think Denver schematically how they want to play offense. They want to play through Jamal Murray and they want to play through Nicole Joic. They want to play through that twoman high pick and roll. If that’s not if that’s not working, they’ll play through Nicole Joic. Let him be that orb. Let him play at the top of the key. Let him take the double like he did a lot in that Denver series. That’s when you rely on those three-point shooters. Well, if you have guys like Brown or Aaron Gordon or Michael Porter Jr. who are struggling to shoot the three-point shot, even though Aaron Gordon was shooting the heck out of that thing in the postseason, if those guys are struggling, it makes the Denver Nuggets lives impossible. And that was what happened in a few of those games where Joic is getting the entire attention of the Thunder defense and he has no other options cuz nobody could knock down a shot. Now you have Tim Hardaway Jr. that can hit three-point shots. Now you have Bruce Brown who can hit three-point shots. This bench is a lot better and it gives you more flexibility. Now you’re not so reluctant to go dig into that bench if somebody’s struggling or if somebody needs to get some rest. So this has been a huge off season for Denver. This has been an unbelievable offseason. I know none of these guys are necessarily like huge name players, but I think sometimes that gets overlooked. So often everybody’s looking at the splash play moves. Okay, Kevin Durant’s going to get moved. Jiannisko is going to get moved. Is Jaylen Brown gonna get moved? Is Zion going to get moved? When you have a team like the Denver Nuggets that already have a solid core of Aaron Gordon, Nicole Joic, Jamal Murray, Christian Brown, if you can just add a few pieces here and there, this is a team that won a championship two years ago. This was a team that has the best player in the world in Nicole Joic, who in my opinion should be on his fifth straight MVP in a row right now. That is the type of team that the Denver Nuggets have. They have championship pedigree. They’ve already gotten over the hump. They already know how to do this. And yes, in a tough Western Conference, I’m going to put my money on them. If anything, like Oklahoma City, they are the major favorite to win it all next year. Then right behind them, you have the Denver Nuggets. Then right behind them, you have the Houston Rockets. So, you have some good teams. And now Oklahoma City just proved that they can get it done. Denver’s already proved that they can get it done. Houston’s going to be tough. San Antonio is going to be really good. The Dallas Mavericks are going to be a really solid squad. What are the Lakers? What are the Warriors going to be with those older expiring veterans in Curry and LeBron? What can those teams do? You still have Luca. A lot of teams in the Western Conference are going to be contending for that championship. And I believe the Denver Nuggets have put together the perfect team now to try and go get back over the hump. David Adelman is a phenomenal head coach. Did a great great job in that Clippers series. And I didn’t even mention the Clippers. They’ve done a great job in free agency so far. James Harden took that pay cut. They get Brook Lopez. I think the Clippers now with Kawawaii healthy at the beginning of the season, they could be a top four seed in the West in my opinion. So, it’s like this West is an absolute bloodbath and the Denver Nuggets had to make moves and I believe that they made enough moves and they did enough to go win a championship now. And in my opinion, the Denver Nuggets should be the favorite to win the title next year. Nicole Joic is easily the best player on the planet. We know that Jamal Murray can rise up in the postseason. This is going to be the team to beat in the Western Conference and in the entire NBA in my opinion. I’m Kaden Cubler and thank you guys for watching. [Music]

  1. I do agree with that I also think this is one thing we have to get cleared to stupid Minnesota fans Minnesota barely took OKC to 5 Games Denver takes them to seven games and had three injured players and had a thin bench there is no doubt in my mind last year's Denver team would have beaten last year's Minnesota team probably in 6:00 instead of 5:00 because OKC beat Minnesota and 5:00 and they took seven games to get rid of Denver so I would have seen Denver knock off Minnesota but probably in 6:00 one extra game to take them out I think that this year will be a lot different with this new Squad

  2. I can also see OKC fans trying to make an excuse for their team, trying to say well OKC hadn't been that far which is true and they were learning they were learning how to get by and to really go through the The Growing Pains some of that might have been true but that doesn't change the fact, the Denver with three injuries still took them to a game 7 I actually think they can beat OKC I really do I think this Denver team in an early prediction could take out that OKC team probably in six games I would also say this Denver came would beat Houston in six games with their new look in an early prediction this Denver Squad the way it stands right now in Minnesota with their squad barely making any kind of changes and losing one of their key players I think this Denver team could beat that Minnesota team in five games

  3. I'm rooting for Denver. But the path to glory goes through OKC now. They should still be favourites.

  4. The nuggets added 2 big men in Holmes and Jonas, plus Cameron, Tim Hardaway Jr and Brown. They are definitely better. That’s a whole bench of sufficiency a C,PF,SF, SG and PG.

  5. I’m sorry but the nuggets took the champs to seven games with the dog water roster they had, imagine the roster they now have . If they almost beat OKC with the roster they had, they’ll definitely be able to do it with the roster they got now. all though the championship runs thru OKC , October need to hurry up and get here !

  6. Been a Nugget fan for 25 years. Bro, this was the best off season i've ever remembered us having. Jok can go back to 32-34mpg instead of leading the league by playing 38mpg and gas out in the playoffs. Getting three basically starter caliber players off the bench is crazy

  7. Jamal still needs to lift his game….yeh he has the talent but he had a lot of loose passes and steals late in the season and at times looked tapped out in too many matches when it mattered

  8. It took the Thunder 7 games to beat one dude, and they still needed the refs on their side to do it.

  9. Sorry man but the reason they did not win is because this league is rigged and wanted OKC to win this.
Not saying that Denver deserved it but OKC got the CP handed to them by the refs.
    Shame on the NBA.

  10. Also Denver get Daron Holmes who they drafted last season but he was injured, basically they added 3 new playable guys to their bench and they will probably still sign another guy with their TMPLE

  11. Porter disappearing in the playoffs and Zeke being a slug since signing that contract are what prevented championships the last two years. If Nnaji played to his ability it would have been a difference maker.

  12. I get the effectiveness of clickbait video titles and I am a huge fan of Jokic, and Denver has knocked it out of the park in free agency so far, but there is no way in hell that they are the title favorites over OKC. And I wish I was wrong about that because I can't stand the foul-baiter and his team, but nah, OKC is still the favorite and should be. Their team is still better overall. Let's see how the rest of the offseason goes..

  13. Ya cant say we are FAVORITES-OKC still are the favorites & should be. Id even put Houston slightly ahead of us. But we moved just below those 2,& in 3rd by ourselves-in my opinion. And i do think had we had this roster this past playoffs-we wouldve had another parade this summer. But OKC will be more experienced & now has Championship DNA. But i love what we have done. I work at Ball arena & cant wait for the season to start. (also since weve only worked like 4 concerts in last 5 weeks or so-lol)Nuggets are ready to roll & back on paper as top 3-5 NBA team today in my opinion. Now we just need the Avalanche to fill a few holes,& use some of the cap space they created with a great draft day trade.

I fully expect to see at least 1 big trade this offseason to see them solidify their defense & we still need a few forwards,& then we will be back to top 5 teams,& upper tier contenders in BOTH SPORTS,& ready for a great season for both. Nuggets are already there in my opinion if they do nothing else. Avalanche still have some work to do but have the cap space,& i have no doubt they will get there as top West contender. When ya have 2 top 5 players on earth it's always a great starting point like we do. AVS usually get their major work done via trade not free agency but are supposedly also in on the Ehlers-the top free agent left. But still work to be done by them-Nugs are GOOD TO GO RIGHT NOW AS IS!

  14. Jamal is a super important piece, especially when he goes into spicopathic mode and scores 20 points in the fourth quarter. But he needs to take more responsibility for his physical condition and eat better!

  15. I found a guy in the commments of another video (probably Laker fan) that thinks Jokic makes players play worse than usual and that he holds on the ball too much. Unreal.
