Houston Rockets Trading Jock Landale??
Yo, what’s going on guys? This Houston Sports Talk back into the video today. And today we’re going to be talking about the Houston Rockets potentially trading or waving Jock Land. Uh the Rockets signed Clinkapella three year $21 million deal to bring Clink Capella back that we also know that they you know brought back Steven Adams on a big deal and they have Alpron Shenon. It seems like Jack Landel is on his way out of Houston. There’s no reason to have four centers on your roster. four centers on your roster that are making more more than $8 million a year. Jock Landell signed a four-year $32 million deal when he joined the Rockets. It’s been two seasons. So, halfway through that contract and I don’t think it’s been worth it even though he’s he’s you know, look, I think I think during the 2023 24 season when Alpron Shenon went down and he had his injury, I think Jock Lando played great basketball during that time. The Rockets really needed him to step up at the end of the season, 2023 24 season. I believe he did that even though it was such a rough year uh start to the year. But last year when the Rockets got back, Steven Adams, it it just you didn’t see such a good year from him at all. Um you know, Jock averaged, you know, this the numbers were a little bit the same, but 4.8 points per game, three rebounds per game for Jock. Um and he did get to play some when Stephen Adams was not able to play when Steven Adams, you know, didn’t play back to back or some of the games he was injured. But, you know, you’ve got Adams more healthy now than he was, you know, at the start of the season compared to where he is now or what he was at the end of the season in playoffs. And then you’ve also added in Clinkapella. So, Jock Lando doesn’t seem like he’s needed anymore with the Houston Rockets. And I would expect the Rockets to try to trade or wave him in the next couple weeks. You guys let me know your thoughts on and that would open up a roster spot for the Rockets. The Rockets have 15 roster spots right now filled. Um, and you know, or or actually it’s 16 I believe believe it’s it’s 15 or 16 roster spots they’ve got filled right now. Um, and by by releasing Jack Landell, uh, they they can clear a roster spot and so and clear some money because he’s making a lot of money for a fourth stringer fourth string center.
