Golden State Warriors TRADING Jonathan Kuminga To The Los Angeles Lakers? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Golden State Warriors be trading away Jonathan Kaminga to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Jonathan Kaminga and the Golden State Warriors receiving Dorian Finny Smith and Gabe Vincent. So, in my personal opinion, this trade would actually make some sense from the Lakers perspective and maybe a little bit less so uh from the Warriors perspective. Now, obviously, this trade cannot happen because Dorian Finny Smith went to the Houston Rockets, but if you’re able to replace that with maybe, I don’t know, for example, a Jared Vanderbilt type of player or someone maybe a Ruie Hatchima type of player plus some draft capital, that could be more like what the trade could actually look like if this were to happen. Now, Jonathan Kaminga is a pretty talented player. He’s in his early 20s and has shown signs in the past of him potentially being like an all-star caliber player at some point in his NBA career. I don’t think his time in Golden State uh is going to be much longer. I think there I think there is going to be a situation this offseason where he is dealt in some capacity. Now, is it going to be to the Lakers? I really don’t think so. I think what Kaminga and his camp want is for him to go to a team probably not a great team where he could be maybe a larger part of the offense, increase his value that way and maybe more be the focal point of a team offensively speaking. And if he were to go to the Los Angeles Lakers, like it’d be a pretty cool fit on the wing, no doubt about that. But truthfully speaking, playing underneath players like DeAndre Aton, who they acquired today, LeBron James, Austin Reeves, and of course, Luca Donic, he’s probably looking at being like a third or fourth, even a fifth option offensively on this team, which is pretty similar to what he is right now in Golden State. So, from Kaminga’s perspective, it’s probably not a destination that he wants to go just in regards to his role being pretty similar, if not more reduced, with the Lakers. Now, from the Warriors perspective, for example, if you’re able to get Dorian, Finny Smith, Gabe Vincent, maybe a draft pick, that’s some pretty decent work for someone like Kaminga. Now, I think some teams out there might overpay for Kaminga, per se. Maybe you can get back some more future draft capital with a Kaminga trade. Whatever the case may be, but keep in mind that this Warriors team wants to win a championship in this current era with Stephen Curry still having some pretty productive years left. So, I think this trade probably helps the Warriors a little bit more so than the Lakers. So, for those reasons, I think the Warriors win this deal. But as always, leave your thoughts.
