so could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away Austin Reeves to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025NBA off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself But this trade would see the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Devin Vel 2027 first round pick and a 2029 first round pick and the San Antonio Spurs receiving Austin Reeves So in my personal opinion if Austin Reeves was made available on the trade market as of right now to me the Spurs don’t make a ton of sense uh just because of the log jam in their back court But if they perhaps for example move move off of De’Aran Fox maybe get back some you know draft capital or some depth etc then yes I do agree that a Austin Reeves trade to the Spurs having a back court of Austin Reeves and Dylan Harper actually would make some sense And having WBY in the front court as well as holding on to players like Kelton Johnson Stefon Castle etc this could be a really cool fit for Austin Reeves if he were to go to the Spurs Now from the Lakers perspective it’s not terrible uh depending on what they can do this offseason So if they’re able to sign a player for example um like a DeAndre Eaton it kind of addresses their front court there specifically their starting center position So if they want to pivot from Austin Reeves who by the way might want a gigantic sum of money next year then yeah getting back Devin Vel who’s a pretty solid player in his own right uh plus two first round draft picks which likely won’t be anything crazy uh given the direction the Spurs team is going in But uh at the very least you get two draft capital assets which they wish which they could flip down the road uh for some help now And winning a championship in the LeBron James era for the last little bit of his career has to be a priority for them So truthfully speaking not a bad trade for both sides all things considered But if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’m going to go with the Spurs But as always leave your thoughts
