Which NBA teams improved more than Dallas during the offseason?
I think AD might stifle the development of Flagg. Since AD came to Dallas, Gafford, Lively, and PJ Washington have had considerable hits to their production. Just look at the play in as a prime example. PJ Washington – 0 points. Lively – 0 points. Gafford – 5 points. Now, throw Flagg into that rotation? Well folks, there is only one ball and you don't have a Hall of Fame point guard throwing 10 assists a game and throwing another 7 assists that never happen because people miss wide open shots.

Obviously, Nico didn’t mean that his entire vision was to trade Luka and then somehow land the #1 pick for Flagg. Thinking that’s what he meant is straight-up stupid.
What he actually meant is this: now that Mavs fans are starting to see who Cooper Flagg is — and getting hyped about his intangibles, elite defense, and leadership — they might finally start opening their eyes and realizing how important defense, leadership, and effort really are.
And that’s exactly the culture Dumont and Nico have been building. The team Nico built before Flagg was already elite — a defense-first squad full of dogs with work ethic, guys who actually give a damn about leading and locking up.
We were absolutely ready to compete for a championship in the coming years even without Flagg. But now? With him? It’s just even more exciting.
