So, in my personal opinion, this is actually a pretty solid trade for both sides to make. Now, John Collins is a player that has been rumored to be on the trade market this off season. The Utah Jazz want to make some changes and they want to get a little bit younger and or get some trade or get some draft draft assets. And in this scenario, they’re not necessarily getting younger with Terry Roier, but what they are getting is two second round draft picks in 2027 and 2031. So, it’s not a terrible trade for either side. I think if you’re the Miami Heat, you want to go ahead and shake up this roster a little bit. Adding Jon Collins who can be a pretty solid wing. He’s pretty athletic and contribute offensively. I think in this scenario, he’d be a number three or number four option offensively in this team. And for Terry Roier, perhaps he can go to Utah, be maybe more of a focal point of this team, come in, be a veteran leader for some of these younger players, and just kind of go through the process that way. and capitalizing on your excess amount of draft capital. Flip that for what you think is a pretty solid player. So, in my personal opinion, I think I would probably rather have John Collins than Terry Rashier. Now, does this trade move the needle that much for anyone in either direction? Truthfully speaking, probably not. More of a change of scenery move for both the Jazz and the Heat. Uh, but I think truthfully speaking, given that the Jazz weren’t very good last year and given that the Heat, you know, barely made the playoffs last year, might not be a terrible idea to kind of swap DNA and get in John Collins in Miami and Terry Roier in Utah. So, if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to probably go with the Heat because I like Collins a little bit more than Roier, but it’s super close. As always, leave your thoughts.
