WOW! RAPTORS ARE PLANNING USING SCOTTIE AT CENTER NEXT SEASON!!!

[Laughter] ain’t no way ain’t no way yo yo ownership is on some [ __ ] already oh my god i You would think You would think that after firing Messiah they would relax you would give us a weekend to to to to you would give us a weekend just give us a weekend to to get ourselves together for the upcoming week and deal with the new reality of Messiah being gone shout out to the GOAT you’ll forever be appreciated and missed but then you know you you you give Jared Temple more money i’mma talk about that but I want to talk about Scotty this trumps everything according to the Toronto Star I don’t know if this is true or not they plan on playing Scotty at center they plan on playing Scotty as center when we go on a small ball lineup as opposed to drafting a center in the draft which is which is fundamental it’s a fundamentally sound decision to make you need a young center you got a chance to get a young center you get a young center but instead they are going to put Scotty and have him play as a small ball center at times i’m so excited to see how this [ __ ] works out and to be honest with you it’s too First of all it’s too soon for the [ __ ] it’s It’s too soon for this [ __ ] it’s too soon okay it is way too soon for the [ __ ] you just let go of Messiah we ain’t feeling y’all we don’t like y’all like that give us a minute if you wanted to do something that made us feel good you would have gave Chris Bucher some more money we going to discuss that later though you want to If this ain’t a moment where they’re kicking the tires oh they’re kicking this they they this new ownership and these new people in place and the new president who’s supposed to be coming in looking to hire they’re kicking the tires already they want to see what they really got in Scotty they want to see what they really I told you he ain’t ain’t no time and with Messiah being gone that was the only thing protecting Scotty from reality they are kicking the tires and they going to see what they really got they’re going to use him in all these different ways to see if he’s actually useful on the court or advertise him as a useful trade piece to get the pieces we actually need to keep this mo to keep the party moving i get it we We all like Scotty we all love Scotty but the truth is the truth there are limitations within that realm of stardom there is a much there is much to be desired we had five years to watch them we had enough time to really assess what we really got we seen the highs we seen the lows we seen the lack of effort we’ve seen some monumental performances but the great area of greatness that that that consistent theme is it’s underwhelming at times more often than not he has his moments but it takes so many bad moments and and moments of lackluster play before we get that magnificent moment we should have more consistent magnificent moments from Scotty Barnes than not they’re kicking the tires don’t get it [ __ ] they are kicking the tires they want to see what this kid is really made of they’re going to play him i know a lot of y’all was like “He’s a point guard he’s a point.” Remember that [ __ ] remember all that he’s a point guard he’s a point forward and now I guess he’s a point center i guess he’s a point center now but I hope you get the point that these people are kicking tides and they mean business very shrewd businessmen they’re not playing they want their money to have a return on investment they want their energy to have a return in investment that’s business see politics is behind the scenes business is in your face we know that the decision to fire Messiah Juri was a political decision that had nothing to do with business that was a political decision they could have gave us an opportunity to say goodbye cuz the writing would have been on the wall more so and we would have better been prepared for that instead of it being so abrupt and sudden now they got to scramble to find a president and now they’re kicking tires they’re You think they man listen ain’t no guarantees for nobody now the only thing keeping guys in a certain light and on a certain pedestal was Messiah now here comes the truth anybody could get it we going to see because the reality is he should be able to leverage his abilities against the center more so against anybody else he should be able to have some type of advantage offensively defensively he should be able to hold his own granted he can keep out of foul trouble but this is gonna be a a they gonna put See this is what I I’m not gonna even lie to you i like this and I’m going to tell you why because it puts pressure and it puts weight on the person who’s getting the most money who’s been on the pedestal the longest whose team this team was modeled by we can’t let him slip away from the responsibilities that he’s supposed to be upholding and taken care of as the face we can’t allow not even as the face but as that marquee guy that a lot of these decisions were made based off of we revamped the team based off of the possibilities of him being great and he hasn’t been able to carry anything he hasn’t had consistent great performances he hasn’t had enough of a consistent theme of performances to stay on the star pedestal he hasn’t We don’t see him carrying a star player is supposed to carry and we understand oh he’s not a star now we know now we know for sure he’s not the star that we need him to be but they’re kicking tires and they’re they’re putting him in a position where show us what you really got and if you don’t we going to trade you and get the assets for you i like that because it’s fair it’s fair you can’t keep putting RJ’s name in trade [ __ ] talks emmanuel Quickley Yaka Purle everybody else grady Dick you putting everybody else’s name in trade talks except for Scotty he should He’s in the This right here puts him in the same performance-based boat that everybody else is in and that’s fair that’s fair he’s not on a pedestal he’s not being coddled he’s not given one more chance nobody else is so why should he he hasn’t even earned that he don’t have enough superstar performances he He doesn’t have the team on his back at all you want to blend in and be just one of the guys take that crown off get off that pedestal and you in the same boat as everybody else champ and that’s what they’re doing i respect that i respect that and if I don’t respect nothing else I respect that fair is fair can’t be everybody else and not you [ __ ] we going to trade a 21 point per game six rebound six [ __ ] assist game per game player for how how is he the first person to go how talking about we ain’t got no money meanwhile we giving everybody else money and we’re trying to bring in players who are 50 million 60 million a year play get the but we ain’t have enough money to pay Pascal you got your rabbit ass mind put that [ __ ] on the chopping block with everybody else you in the same boat as everybody else ain’t no way around it you ain’t perform well enough not to be you got a champion twotime Allstar two time AllNBA you let him go saying that this kid had a big cuz he wasn’t on Scotty’s timeline now look at where the timeline is scotty ain’t even on that timeline no more for all that we could have kept Pascal we don’t have All we have is hope right now we hope Brandon Ingram performs and [ __ ] turn around we hope Darkco figures it out all we got is hope there’s nothing concrete and definitive at all the only concrete thing we have is this emptiness we feel for for [ __ ] Messiah being let go that’s the only thing concrete is our feeling of emptiness every day is going to get better but we still going to be bitter about that [ __ ] that relationship meant more to us than anything you should have respected that now you got to win or the grill is on guys got to produce i think it’s fair i think it’s fair put Scotty in all all right granted we should have got a center i don’t know why we didn’t get a center i don’t know why i don’t know why i like I like Martin elijah Martin i like that guy i like him as a guard i like him that’s a good pick we didn’t get a sin at all we did not address what we needed how how the [ __ ] you You’re supposed to go to supermarket to get eggs you got everything else but eggs [ __ ] get the eggs stay disciplined we needed a center he was right there oh but he’s not the Who the [ __ ] is perfect did you not hear a NBA player that said the same [ __ ] I said there’s nothing but number TWS in the NBA at best there no more number one there’s no more League dogs what are you expecting this kid to be you want Kevin Garnett without the process of becoming that you want Booby Cousins you want all these you want all this greatness without the process that’s some new generation [ __ ] instant gratification there has to be a realm of development and repetition to get to that level of greatness the kid was good enough to be on this team why not draft him why not we got another player that’s just like Scotty a little bit worse than Scotty they’re trying to make he can pass too scotty’s a way better passing than this kid scotty had that star power then this kid we drafted for what at nine we could have got a center the [ __ ] we get this kid for somebody else could have got him he could have been the future Scotty Barnes for somebody else or is this a pseudo replacement a guy who can do I told you it’s easier to replace a Scotty Barnes than it is to replace a Pascal Seako or a guy like RJ Barrett it’s easier to It’s easy to replace Scotty you got this we compare Scotty’s in that Draymond category guess what the draft pick is in the Draymond category too it’s easy to replace a Scotty Barnes easy we sensationalized him we made him the beloved star we projected that onto him nobody else looks at him like that but us we projected that we created that superstar that’s us we projected that the reality is he’s easier to replace than other players we’ve had on this team see how he’s right in the draft number nine guy similar to Scotty already what we talking about he’s a worse shooter than Scotty for sure scotty’s a better passer he’s better off the dribble but can he do that against pro players i don’t know none of us knows we’ll find out we will find out i knew something was like this [ __ ] why would we get him unless they plan on trading Scotty they going to give him a shot they going to kick the tires and if it don’t work i’m excited i want to see how this play out i’m interested now you got my attention you got Hey you got my I want to see how this play yeah put him in that position let’s see if he can swim put him in the deep end of the pool yes sir let’s see don’t worry we got lifeguards around we want to see he keep talking about how he can swim we going to see he’s a He can play all five positions guard all five we going to see we going to see we going to see what we got and we going to see if it breaks him and he won out or we trade him what’s going to come first he going to want out or we going to trade him i want to see what comes first i want to see i want to see it i’m interested this storyline got my attention we’re going to play him at center as opposed to getting a center we would rather play Scotty at center m i want you to hear the logic it’s ridiculous to me but okay let’s see we gonna see i’m interested i want to They want to see if they gonna get their money’s worth or they got to let that go i’m with it he’s going to get every opportunity to prove himself he’s going to get every opportunity to do all that fly [ __ ] and be the the brown the brown yaka purle we go now no the brown noneic they going to see if he can be a point we going to see what he could do they going to give him every position they going to let him play they going to let him play yeah let’s see let’s see what he worked on this summer other than roller skating let’s see he ain’t going to be able to do what he want to do he’s going to have to do whatever the basketball game needs him to do to win i said this before and I’m going to say it again that should have been his priority learning how to use what he already has in real time to get us what we need throughout the game he don’t need to develop superstar caliber skills everywhere he can do so much look at the game read the situations do what’s called for fundamentally that’s it it’s simple he has all the physical attributes he has all he has enough of the abilities he’s going to get better as he goes but just look at read the game figure out if we need you to rebound rebound if that’s opened up if you can if you got to shoot find find your pocket start inside out don’t start outside in you know what I mean just use your brain that’s all we going to see we going to see what we got we going to see we going to see if he’s committed to this too we going to see what we got cuz he’s comfortable the boy comfortable he comfortable he think he do whatever he want he can stream video games go on podcast all right we going to see if you can who we going to see if you could do they This ownership wants you to play at a certain level and they will not accept anything less i’m cool with that i’m cool with that i have no concerns i have no problems with that because it’s [ __ ] fair it’s fair because the same way everybody else was judged and the same way everybody was under scrutiny he should not duck that fade they they can’t they always in trade talks soon as we got RJ RJ’s that’s a piece we got to let go of and that’s a piece and then the piece and then the piece and then we could do it all right we have Well why didn’t we replace RJ in the [ __ ] draft why it ain’t easy to replace a RJ or a Quickly or some of the players we’ve let go of it’s a little easier to let to find a replacement for Scotty you can you can buen you can build a Scotty all you need is 6’10 240 and teach him all the fundamentals and and let him pick the blocks one by one teach him how to dribble teach him how to pass teach him how to rebound let’s see if he got Okay oh you do have athleticism okay you could find that the other guys it takes a little more mental fortitude to become to become a 21 point per game score in the NBA you got to have some type of mental fortitude you can’t you don’t think like everybody else a little more aggressive you ain’t got time you ain’t got patience you It’s a different level of passion you understand me you put the You put the time in and you getting results they the same [ __ ] I was hearing that you Oh but he don’t he don’t shoot like that dwayne Wade couldn’t shoot either he still was averaging 25 a game off of athleticism when his athleticism was gone he was gone it’s a fact but also RJ technically is is he has enough skill sets to keep average in 2021 it’s a skill for him he ain’t just doing it off of athleticism he’s doing it off of toughness and grind can’t a lot of people can’t do that [ __ ] he and you ain’t even calling no real plays for the [ __ ] you going No we could replace that we We We let go of three 20 point per game scor some of the guys we let go of sick almost a [ __ ] Norman Palveraged 25 this year should have been an all-star lebron got in the way of that but we What we talking about here we We thinking everybody’s replaceable this is not a video game but Scotty’s skill sets you can replace that a lot easier than everybody else’s that’s my point he’s easy easier to be replaced than they are it’s just different mentality that’s what makes them different that’s what makes them a lot more valuable i I don’t had a Listen I want to see how this works out i want to see what he got mentally i want to see if he could do it i want to see what his attitude is when [ __ ] ain’t going his way because we already seen what it looked like but now we going He gonna play point guard he going to play two guard he going to play small forward powerful they going to put him everywhere either this is advertisement for the next team or this is going to show how great he really is but either way he going to be tested this is a diamond we need tested this is a diamond we need tested we going to see what we got see we projected this beauty on this body of work and this art we we projected that see that’s what you do when you’re in love with something and when you’re infatuated by something you project you romanticize sometimes you got to step back and be like “What?” It ain’t until you get your heart broke you realize that [ __ ] wasn’t really like that i overdid it i did it to myself we doing it to ourselves take a step back let’s see what he really made up by himself sink the swim don’t Don’t dive and jump in let’s see don’t let your imagination fantasize and mar and and magnify his greatness and and and and allow his deficiencies to be invisible nah get up on his ass dead in his face and like listen the [ __ ] was that six points against the Cavs when you could have had 30 we went up against Charlotte you could have had 30 the difference between a 30 point per game scorer and everybody else is he just wants it more that’s effort and opportunity he got the green light how you got the green light and you ain’t putting up numbers you just playing around taking your [ __ ] time like you got all day you supposed to be carrying this team yeah we tanking they tanking i’m hooping you out here roller skating and [ __ ] smile on your face tighten up these people ain’t playing these people are not playing i love it i love it i love it execute or get executed either you execute or or you will be executed you will be escorted out the building you can always play for another team you go we’ll trade you and get $200 million worth of assets let’s see what we could do they already talking about “Yo Ben Simmons we get Ben Simmons.” Does the same [ __ ] Scotty do now we got We got like three four people that could do what Scotty do already on the team all right man we’re going to I’m excited i’m interested fair is fair i’m interested i’m excit they I wish they would have gave us a weekend just to you know what I’m saying give me a weekend you just fired my man then you get in front of the camera that was my decision and the board agreed with me [ __ ] who you who are you you ain’t had to you making this because you want to show that you’re an executive and that you got some type of savvy and no a smart move if you’re doing business is don’t let the politics get in the way of that bag messiah’s the [ __ ] bag our relationship is with him now you already [ __ ] now you want to be the face of some abrupt new era we don’t even know you and we don’t want to know you’re in the You’re in the Dolan category now they You’re in the the Dolan C do you know what that means no matter what you do we don’t we don’t care we’ll see you’ll see i’m a New Yorker we It took 30 years and New Yorkers from my era still don’t like Dolan we want the city to win but we still ain’t [ __ ] with them Knicks we don’t dolan ain’t it he’s done too much it’s like nah I mean y’all could be cool with him we good on that man we just You stay over there and we stay over here and I think that’s where Raptors fans your homie you stay over there and we stay over here respectfully but tell me what you think in the comments section i’m excited i want to see Scotty play all all these different positions put him at center we paying them like that and you ain’t want to draft a center but was that one of those moves like “Well we got to get a center for we paying this kid 200 million let’s put him to work put him to work.” That’s that’s a old that I would rather get a center though like I don’t understand why we didn’t get a center i I I’m never going to understand why we didn’t get the center from Duke i’m never going to understand there’s no way you could explain it to me there’s no way you could try to rationalize it with your logic we should have got the center from Duke that’s it everything else is [ __ ] to me but we going to see Scotty play center instead of getting a 7 foot2 in center who loves to be a sinner we going to let Scotty play center so in [Music] I want to say it i want to see Scotty play set i want to see him guard Mitchell Robinson and and Joel Embiid i want to see him go i want to see him guard I want to see him guard every center i want to see it i want to see him go up i want to see what he got let’s see cuz that’s all about toughness and effort them them dudes is hitting them elbows they going to move him he going to have to he going to have to show he going to have the advantage offensively cuz he going to have the speed and the athleticism to get around him but we going to see if he has the mental fortitude to do so let’s see i’m excited i’m excited i’m interested got my attention i’mma holl at y’all

  1. Playing scottie at centre will get him injured……hes strong but in different areas……the number 9 pick needs to develop into a 3 and D……scottie needs a little de mar derozan type bag………if all the bigs raps have play together like fucking voltron were a play in…playoff team……go raps go🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫶🫶🫶🫶🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

  2. I haven’t seen any Scottie in the gym tape this off-season.. I hope he’s taking this serious because no one is safe…

  3. Lol. I cant believe you brought up Ben Simmons my brother. Ben doesnt care about basketball. Love your work, BUT, that was a poor comparison. Everything else I agree with you with the exception of playing him at center. I dont believe he is going to like that (at all). It might breed resentment, worse than the Vince Carter fiasco.

  4. Looks like they are interested in Ben Simmons. He's a FA and might sign him on a vet minimum

  5. So the team wants to tank a season, and then fans say scottie didn't have a good season, same fans that wanted to tank, wanted FVV and Siakem gone. Now they are complaining. He is not the guy, not worth the money, because fans, for some reason really care what millionaires get paid by billionaires. This fanbase is turning into fickle wrestling fans imo, but i digress

If Scottie is at the 5 the way Gasol was, is a good fit, top of the key, using his passing, pulling the other teams big out, cause SB can hit 3's. And he better have improved
I like the roster, lets try to win, see if BI can play D.
    JP
    SCOTTIE
    BI
    RJ
    IQ

then the new bench mob, Battle Dick, Shead, jakobe , Mogbo new guys.

Malauche didn't want to risk leaving the usa and not getting let back in, and didn't want to work out for the Raptors. The draft for character, well they did….im not addressing Masai here. Stupid suits

  6. I've been saying it…the plan is to destroy the team kill off he fanbase so it will be easier to sell the team and move it to the US market. MLSE don't want the Raptors competing with the leafs fanbase. Vagas Raptors in 3 years🤫

  7. Chev man i fk with you but u definitely a scottie hater and are the leader of that movement. My fear is that with masai gone management may actually agree with you especially with some of the takes i hear from other prominent Toronto media members. Is sad that people dont see the value and how special scottie really is. Haliburton is getting his praise for being the superstar he is and isnt a scorer. Scottie literally is our 6’9 kyle lowry. What he brings definitely isnt easy to replace name another player that legit can guard 1-5? CMB who we just drafted projected to have the same ability so now we have the two players with this special ability in the league. Maybe cooper flagg maybe the only other with that ability. That in itself is valuable and not easily replaceable. For all the crap u gave scottie last year yall fail to realize last year was a whole new development year playing in a completely new role taking completely different shots trying to add to his game. If not for his talent alone, his mindset and processing of the game should make him the untouchable asset he was under Ujuri! We dont need Scottie to be our top scorer to be our leader and best player. Provided he given a real opportunity this season I believe he will prove himself to be everything masai envisioned and what many of the fanbase believes he can become

  8. The East is wide open next season with all the injuries on so many teams. This season would have been a perfect chance for Masai to rejuvenate himself and gain more influence within the organization and with fans. I'm sure ownership saw it coming and realized they could get similar results in an open East so why give a guy who you want gone a chance to look good.

  9. Scottie is the problem. We didn't create him. the smedia ala uro did. we ballers and brainers know he must go.
    CMB
True talks. Scotty head back high hips along with all the RJ rumors got Ujiri fired rightfully so. Kid Canada should be dragged through Rumors since the first day he got off the plain
This was the best Raptors draft since Bosh. Bosh was the greatest Raptors of all times. 24 pts and 10 Rb, no Uro can get me to hate Bosh and Carter and hate RJ. Certain people thrive on hate.

  10. So apparently Rich Paul called Toronto and told them to pass on Khaman because his preferred destination was Phoenix. Business in the NBA is something else

  11. Chev, U can't give credence to reporting unless you see it comes from the source's mouth. Toronto will kill you with rumours. U will be busy doing videos if you follow these so called sources. Scottie is not a center, that's a failed exercise.

  12. Hi Chev. No one’s getting rid of Yakob. …I’m very worried about Chris. He’s already limited to just 50 games per season.
Scottie was injured lots, last season. Immanuel was too, but they’re not as hard on him, of course.
Ben Sim mons…?! Noooooooo. …I looooove/d Norman Powell. He rocks🎸!
Bobby will become president then, that guy Dan Tolz’ made GM, or else, fans will really, really, really revolt. Unless, Steve Nash is somehow available🙂. Otherwise, that president position needs to just sit vacant for a time, in hopes people might calm down a bit. *To bring a stranger in just 2 months from now, s/he could get heavily booooed—especially if they’re more about business than basketball. It’s way too soon. *Another scenario is that wherever Masai ends up = Bobby. Then, I’m afeard for the Rap’s. Peace🌤️.

  13. Let's give it a day. There will be few if any Cs from this draft who will be producing from day one. But this Raptors management MUST get someone in Free Agency or trade.

  14. @nbachev the report is rich paul who is from clutch who represents both chomche and maluach, steered maluach away from toronto because they wanted both players to have the best chance of getting that 2nd contract rather than competing with each other.

the report is also that at 39 the french 7 ft 3 pt shooting center maxime raynaud was available, but again his agent steered him away from toronto because he wanted him to sign with the kings.

so the raptors not having alot of money left before tax have to find a cheap back up center, and ben simmons fits darko's system the best. you have to be able to ball handle and pass in darko's system and its why chris boucher didnt fit and didnt play.

the nets let dayron sharpe go and become a UFA but he is probably out of raptors price range as he likely gonna ask for 10-12 million a year.

  15. do you even watch basketball??? they played scottie at backup 5 multiple times throughout the last 2 seasons. and a entire video basically down talking our franchise player you are quite the fan bro💯 another reason why toronto sports fan are wonderful right ?

  16. you guys don't appreciate what you have here with scottie. he is a unicron player that will only get better over the next 5 seasons. this is a terrible and spiteful take. you're crazy if you don't think half the nba wouldn't dish out 4 1st round picks for scottie. he would make any team better the second he steps onto the floor. somehow he managed over 20ppg in a development year playing with nothing but rookies and 2nd year players for the most part on one of the youngest teams in the nba. he will be a triple double machine before we know it… but you guys are too blind and naiive to see it. when did chev turn into a scottie hater anyways? probably still hasn't gotten over the siakam trade and looking for someone to blame.

  17. I would've n3ver traded Pascal look what he did in Indiana…Pascal scottie Barrett IQ Ingram seems like a good start to me

  18. Scottie gave The Joker a difficult time and I believe we lost 127- 125 to Denver that night.

Barnes got injured that night before OT.

  19. 12:30 chev is speaking factssssss …I remember that day Darko snapped in that post game and spoke Scottie’s allstar appearance into existence “we got stars too, Scottie Barnes I gonna be the face of this league”

  20. To me, scotties perfect fit was pascal. Scottie then, was playing big inside well and point guarded well with pascal running with him. Scottie i feel would have grew higher having him. I still havent seen another perfect fit other than maybe gradey
