I Cannot Believe This…

I cannot believe this. The Dallas Mavericks have been linked to many, many rumors over the last several weeks, ever since the Dallas Mavericks trade away Luca Donic. We are forever going to be rumored as a team that’s possibly linked to insert superstar here. But yet again, here we are discussing LeBron James coming to the Dallas Mavericks as that is a reality that could be more true than false. The Dallas Mavericks have been linked to LeBron James ever since we got Kyrie Irving. Even prior to getting Kyrie, there have always been sprinkles of rumors of LeBron James coming to Dallas. And with the way that free agency is currently going for the Lakers, the rumors surrounding LeBron James wanting to force his way out of LA, the Dallas Mavericks continue to be a team being talked about amongst executives. So, in this video, we’re going to take a look at what are the reports surrounding the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron James. Is he really going to force his way out? and what would that look like to benefit the Dallas Mavericks versus benefiting the Lakers? But how’s it going everybody? My name is Marcel Martin. This is Mavericks Digest, bringing you the latest news on everything Mavericks related. And before we get started with today’s video, we’re currently sitting at 21,475 subscribers. We’re just growing by the day, which I appreciate greatly. But if you want to be up to date on everything Mavericks related all summer long as we navigate free agency, get ready for summer league, preseason, summer training camp and the start of the next season, make sure you subscribe. But the Dallas Mavericks have this weird Nico curse where you trade away one generational talent, you’re willing to trade for just anybody. You’ll you’ll trade away Luca and get back Christie. will get back a very future first round pick in 2029 as well as Anthony Davis, which means obviously you’re going to trade Dwight Pal for for Carl Anthony Towns. You’re going to trade away Kyrie Irving for Grayson Allen. Any trade that’s going to be floated around in the rumor mill, the Mavericks will always somehow have their hand in that cookie jar. But rumors are just rumors until proven otherwise. And with all the momentum and the steam and maybe the smoke and mirrors surrounding LeBron and James coming to the Mavericks, it’s starting to look more true each day that that’s an avenue that we could approach. Not saying we’re going to do it, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not thinking about it. And if we just go back to the initial reports that was reported last week or earlier this week, there has been some general buzz around the NBA the last couple of weeks about LeBron James and the Dallas Mavericks. Now, obviously, I would have interpreted this completely different if the day LeBron James opted into his player option, which was just a few days ago, then yeah, maybe they’re discussing now he wants to go to Dallas. But the but the fact that it was the last couple of weeks is very, very interesting. I was told from a source, not sure how true they want to take this, but I was told that LeBron James as well as Rich Paul are trying to get LeBron out of LA without having a lot of public backlash. We all know LeBron James is very dramatic. He runs the NBA as some people say, he calls the shots, lay GM as some may call him. So, I truly do believe that if LeBron James does find himself on a completely different team at the start of the season, it was his doing. He was orchestrating everything. I mean, we saw how he was able to manipulate the draft to get his son late in the second round. So, of course, LeBron James, who has never been traded once in his NBA career, could somehow orchestrate a way out of LA. And if the Dallas Mavericks want to comply with the little dog and pony show that is LeBron James, then we may see him on the roster. But it’ll be a little bit more complicated than that. And we’ve already seen one pathway that players are taking to find other homes. Whether it’s their own idea or not, we have seen players getting waved where Damen Lillard, for example, waved by the by the Milwaukee Bucks who still have to pay him that huge contract that he’s on, but he’s able to sign with another team. I’ve been hearing Miami. I’ve been hearing the Warriors, the Knicks. I’ve been hearing a lot of different teams. But Damen Lillard is able to sign with another team, still get that original contract from the Bucks and just take a smaller contract wherever he goes so he can win a chip or whatever he may want to do. And if LeBron James, who was quoted saying that he wants to compete for a chip still, and he’s unsure if the Lakers have the right personnel, then in this weird scenario, LeBron James will opt into his player option, which is $50 million. They decide to stretch wave that over x amount of years so he still gets paid and he takes whatever maximum contract that the Mavericks can afford. He comes to Dallas. The whole roster has to now change to fit LeBron will somehow win games. He’s we get a ch I don’t know. However that future looks like it is a possibility, but I’m not sure if that’s the right move. As many people would agree, LeBron James does change everything around him. He doesn’t join a team to fit what they’re doing. He joins a team so he can make everything fit around him. But that’s not to say that in this ripe age of 40, 41, or however old he is, that he may not just want to take a backseat. Maybe take it easy, not have to be the main focus or the main drive of a team. Join a team where there’s several players that you played with, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, you want to chip with both. You’ve played with DLo. You’ve played with a lot of these other players. You even played against Jason Kidd. Is the Dallas Mavericks a team worth going to? I I Yes, sure. minimum contract. Give me LeBron James. will make it work. We have good odds of winning a chip. Do I want to trade away several key players and possible picks for LeBron James? Absolutely not. If we take a look at these other reports, Dave McMinnon on a potential LeBron James trade, saying Dallas, I’m told they would only be interested in LeBron in a buyout situation. Now, obviously all 29 other teams would be interested if LeBron James was bought out, but that just shows you right there that the Mavericks, yeah, LeBron James got bought out, I’d be interested. I throw him a minimal contract or however much I can afford without going to the second apron. I don’t think LeBron’s worth going to the second apron for, especially if he is set to retire within the next year. But sure, the Dallas Mavericks are interested in LeBron James if there was a buyout. But the fact that we were named specifically as a team by executives for the last several weeks, we are now being named specifically as a team interested if there was a buyout, that only tells me that there is a good level of interest for LeBron James. I don’t think a trade happens, but if somehow he finds a way on the Mavericks, it’s going to be through a buyout. We get him on a minimum contract. We figure it out. Fans will be unhappy. People will not want to see LeBron inside the AAC, the same team that knocked him out when he was in Miami. I understand the beef. I understand it. But if I I mean, if you want a championship and if that’s your best bet, then why not? I mean, you can’t really go wrong getting a player like like LeBron James on a very minimal contract. But it’s not that simple. If we take a look at some other reports, we did find out that the Lakers would love to move on from LeBron James if they can per Gambo. And I had to look this guy up to make sure if it was legit. He is somebody that does have inside information on the Lakers. And it does get a little bit iffy though. He does continue by saying this is him, Gambo, John Gamard Gamoro, who tweeted out saying, “I don’t know if the trade if they trade him. Never said one way or the other. Just mention what I was told plain and simple. And those who know me understand this info only comes from really good sources. LeBron and Reeves don’t like playing with him, meaning Luca, and that LA would love to move on from LeBron if they can. No idea if he gets traded or bought out at the top, but but time will tell. And I don’t want to go into his initial reports the other day. He came out saying that both Austin Reeves and LeBron James do not like playing with Luca Donuch. I I’m not going to go into that. That’s just rumors of he says, she said, and then that can also be taken way out of context. But if the reports are true that maybe it isn’t a good fit, they’d love to move on from LeBron. LeBron opts into his player option because he’s greedy and cheap and doesn’t want to take anything less than the most he’s than the most that he is afforded, then sure, buy or opt into your contract, your player option. You get a minimum, go to another team, try to get another championship as you try to continue to prove you’re the greatest of all time. But the last thing that we’re definitely going to take a look at right here is LeBron James is hopeful the Lakers will be able to outbid the Mavericks for Klay Thompson. This is just something I wanted to bring up from last season. The Lakers and LeBron James were pushing very hard for Klay Thompson. Fortunately, they couldn’t get him. We ended up getting Klay Thompson. Of course, things changed. The roster looks completely different, but maybe that’s a reason why LeBron wants to come to Dallas. Maybe that’s a reason why he would come to Dallas. We got AD. We got Klay Thompson. We got Kyrie Irving. We got D’Angelo Russell, Max Christie, Jason Kid, Derek Lively, Daniel Gaff. We have a pretty good team, a pretty And on top of that, Cooper Flag. We have Cooper Flag, who LeBron James is a fan of, and vice versa. But I understand why a lot of people would not want LeBron James on this team. I, however, look at a lineup of Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Daniel Gaffford as a starting five that can either do really, really good things or it’s a retirement home for old superstars and we just flame out. Let me know what you think in the comment section down below. Would you like LeBron on a minimum contract or you don’t want to hear about it, you don’t want to see it, you don’t want to talk about it, it’s not worth it. The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly eyeing LeBron James as a free-agent prize if the Lakers decide to buy out his contract, aiming to pair his championship DNA with Anthony Davis’s superstar play. Landing LeBron would instantly elevate Dallas’s veteran leadership and clutch scoring, while challenging the rest of the Western Conference. Tune in as Marcel Martin breaks down the buyout logistics, potential fit alongside Kyrie Irving, and how this seismic addition could reshape the Mavericks’ title pursuit.

  1. LeBron trying to force his way. Kyrie not having it. LeBron leave AD and Kyrie alone they want to win without you bro. LeBron low-key annoying AF.

  2. 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

No for LeBron. Build for the Future incriminataly. With that said. Kyrie (uncle Drew), AD and LeBron would have fantastic chemistry.

  4. If he’s cheap absolutely. 50 million after trading 4 or 5 players to match? NO WAY! It would be crazy to see him get bought out just to sign a minimum in another city, how effed will lakers fans feel. So I’m kinda low key cool with that.

  5. Why would we want the same guy who mocked dirk in the 2011 finals. We dont need the drama, the traveling, flopping and turnovers. Ive always considered him a rival. Either stay being a laker or go ruin some other franchise.

  6. No LaBum, haven't we already been through enough shit already. Nobody and I mean nobody wants a washed up cry baby and all his drama.
    Say NO to LaBum!!!

  7. I really dont like Lebron, thats the main reason I want Lakers to fail despite Luka….BUT….if I he did become a Mav I would root for him.

  8. Even if we can sign him after a buy out, I still don't want him in our team. He is a chemistry destroyer

  9. extremely unlikely that he both gets bought out and then also joins the mavs. i think if he's ring chasing he goes somewhere else, it would also be nice for his robins to team up and take him out to prove he's not the center of the universe. and if we had to trade for him we'd be shipping the farm away for no reason. id rather have PJ/klay/etc and let coop earn his stripes than make lebron try to work just for him to retire soon

  10. This is the dumbest basketball video Ive seen all week. Its not as dumb as the comments though.

The cognitive dissonance, delusion and disrespect is absurd. And Gambo is a clown. Certified. Bozo.
