Was Phoenix Suns trade for Mark Williams always a part of their 2025 NBA draft plan? #nba
i didn’t see in any mock drafts that Malwatch was projected to go there we were Gambo was on the show last night and he said multiple times the Suns did not expect him to be there there’s that that cut from Brian Gregory earlier that was just like “Yeah I we didn’t expect him to be there.” That he had told Matt Hish he’s not going to be there at number 10 so let’s let’s come up with a plan that doesn’t include him
i I don’t know for sure but I tend to believe what you’re saying that’s kind of the the the conclusion I came to last night too of they were trying to make the move for Mark Williams figuring they were probably going to draft whoever yeah that wasn’t Malwatch and then he was there and if that’s the case it probably makes Williams a little redundant but I I like that they stuck with the pick anyway and didn’t go well position of need because that’s what got them in trouble not this regime but that’s what got them in trouble with Hallebertton that’s what got a previous regime in trouble with Luca they’re like well how would Luca and Booker ever play together let’s take the best player
The Phoenix Suns traded for Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams on draft night, dealing the No. 29 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and a 2029 first-round pick. Wolf & Luke wonder if trading for Williams was always part of the plan.

Who gives a s**t? All that matter is that we got him. If the Lakers wanted as a starter, then we may really have something
Skull cap Wolf
I think with Williams and Richards injury history it will all work out for the rook to ease his way into things, up his conditioning, and practice against two solid NBA bigs every day at practice.
