so could the New Orleans Pelicans be trading away Herb Jones to the Golden State Warriors this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a tweet on X from fullcourt pass which says “The Golden State Warriors have quote discussed Herb Jones leading up to to an anticipated busy trade period per Brett Seagull NBA.” So with NBA free agency taking our kicking off tonight um people do expect there to be a lot of moves you know at some point either today maybe tomorrow whatever the case may be and Herb Jones and the Pelicans in specific could be a team to monitor for those trade moves now in this scenario Herb Jones going to the Warriors just doesn’t make that much sense in my opinion uh for the Pelicans to really go after now maybe if someone like Jonathan Kaminga maybe pods maybe some draft capitals heading back to New Orleans’s way and they want to get a little bit younger then yeah perhaps I could see that scenario happening uh for this New Orleans Pelicans team now what I don’t see happening is the Pelicans completely rebuilding the roster for the 202526 campaign this was made evident by their draft day decision of trading away next year’s 2026 unprotected first round draft pick so it’s not really in the best interest for this Pelicans team and with Joe Marcy in the front office now uh to blow up this roster get a little bit younger and be in the lottery next year this team has to be good and getting rid of Herb Jones likely won’t get you uh you know that much back in return for them to be a better team now as I mentioned before uh the Warriors have some pieces like Kaminga so maybe there could be a Kaminga package to New Orleans whatever the case may be there and truthfully speaking I think going going to New Orleans is a perfect landing spot for him because that’s the kind of situation he’s looking for where he could be maybe be be maybe more focal point of the offense which he of course would be in New Orleans now I think Herb Jones going to the Warriors is an awesome move defensively speaking he’s an awesome addition i think he fits into this group tremendously well and this would be an amazing trade in my opinion uh for the Warriors to consider now what do you guys think a Herb Jones Golden State Warriors trade looks like if it were to happen leave your thoughts thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one
