jane what kind of led to just the start last game and why you guys were able to just get out so quickly uh I’d say like our energy intensity on defense uh just getting stops early and then uh just making the right plays on offense like and then getting out in transition and converting you were saying after game two like you had to play desperate um can you keep manufacturing that sort of feeling going forward here now yeah I’ll say that game was like a desperate game like you see everyone was like on on edge a little bit and then I’ll say we did a good job getting second chance points and just holding them to one shot do you feel the same feeling going into Yeah I feel like kind of feels like the same day the same everything so hopefully you get the same outcome sound like you guys maybe simplified things defensively coach was saying you had to throw your fast ball off and be junking it up a little bit just how did it feel defensively out there when you were simplifying maybe getting back to what you guys were Yeah it was just uh we just had less game plan mistakes and then we was all communicating being on the same page and I feel like when we do that like it’s hard to score on us in the half court and just really just making a crowd around Shay and making it tough for him how much of a look did TJ give you and just how happy were you to see that no I mean it was super big lift i mean he come in he can score all three levels plays defense i mean it’s nothing surprising for us like we seen it through the season and in practice so I mean you just got to get him out there and he going to show yall what he can do i’m excited for him jen can you feed off of his energy when I mean he gets out and just goes and like does that kind of Yeah as soon as I be yelling like give him the ball if he get the ball open court he like a oneman fast break like he hard to stop he’s super strong so I mean I mean it’s just the work he put in how hard is he to stop in practice what do you uh Yeah I don’t I don’t take that challenge in practice i just let everyone else handle him did you do anything differently against Shay or was it just doing what you do better uh no just really just using my length and just uh not getting my hand caught in like his shooting motion and just trying to foul less but no just just still competing really have you learned a lot from game one playing against him compared to now game four just because you learn how they’re going to call it and what he’s trying to do to you uh yeah i mean I kind of knew going in like how he plays but just it was really just me just being too handsy he just put my hands on him in the wrong spots and then he just takes advantage of it jen was there a difference just offensively like you guys got open shots in the first two games but it felt like maybe a little better rhythm or flow just when you were catching and shooting and Yeah we just had to make the shots i mean coach said we got a bunch of good looks we just had to knock them down i feel like early in the last game we got a bunch of great looks and we made them so that helped us get the lead up quick jaden you had nine fouls on Chay in the first two games none in in game three um just what was what was different uh I don’t know i just kept my hands out of like his shooting motion or just kept my hands off him at all cuz he knows how to like like pull the chair or like pump fakes and stuff or he’ll use his arms to like tangle one of yours and my arms so long it’s like they be getting caught places I don’t even want them to be just so I just did a good job keeping my hands out is that basketball or life in general yeah just probably life in general for real yeah you going to do do you approach this game like you’re going to get a lot of good looks from the corner base do you think about that you just got to knock down shots simplify it to that yeah I just think about uh just knocking down a shot don’t matter like where it is i know they give up a bunch of corner threes so just being ready there but just all over the court just being ready to shoot i’ll go ahead can you talk about the impact from the home crowd and them helping bring the energy yeah no it was great it was super loud i remember got to steal and the dunk and I’m like “Wow I got the chills i ain’t do nothing.” Like it it was it was good though it was super loud like louder than it’s ever been has it just felt like a reset playing at home for the whole team yeah I’ll say that just uh just coming back home and the home crowd i feel like they helped us a lot feeding off them and just being ready to play i mean it’s our home arena it’s what we’re used to and I think it’s just a good spot for us do you realize what you guys your group has done to elevate basketball in this state and make it you know more of a basketball state i know ever since you’ve been here you guys the playoffs have been the norm but it wasn’t like that for a long time do you guys feel that do you feel that the community vibe of a basketball yeah a little bit like sometimes I get people that uh come up to me and they be like no matter what the outcome it’s like they still like excited that we made it this far and like over the years of just making the organization better but yeah I feel like the city like it’s crazy you see go wolves on the street you see billboards and stuff of us so it’s super cool thank you very much thank you
