and now let’s get started the Knicks are discussing a trade with the Suns free agency started yesterday evening and the Knicks definitely have their eye on a number of free agents that they want to add to this team but that’s not the only way the Knicks plan to improve this roster they also plan on making trades to improve this team and reports indicate that the Knicks are showing trade interest in Sun center Nick Richards let’s break down all of these latest reports that we have here today from NBA insider Mike Scott shout out to Mike Scott of Hoops Hype for giving us this following information according to him after trading for Charlotte Hornet center Mark Williams and drafting Kaman with the number 10 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft Phoenix Suns center Nick Richards is a trade candidate to monitor richards has a 5 million non-garanteed salary for the 2025 2026 season expected to be guaranteed by the Suns which will give the team the ability to trade him richards has drawn trade interest from several teams including the New York Knicks Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers the 27year-old 7-footer averaged 9.3 points on 59.1% shooting 8.2 rebounds and one block in 22 minutes per game while starting 43 of 57 games between the Hornets and the Suns the Knicks need another big off the bench and we got to remember the Knicks were interested in Nick Richards at the trade deadline and I’m sure if Phoenix didn’t come in with a very strong offer it’s likely he might have been traded to the Knicks i say likely because at that point in time the Knicks were weighing their options and they ultimately decided to wait on Mitchell Robinson and say what you want to say but that decision looked like it was the best decision the Knicks could make because look at what Mitchell Robinson did during the postseason he was one of the most impactful players for the Knicks during their playoff run and the entire NBA world knows it right now and in my opinion the fact that the Knicks are showing interest trade interest in Nick Richards it tells you a lot it tells you potentially that the Knicks are out there right now discussing different trades and potentially those trades include Mitchell Robinson because why else would you go out there and try to get a veteran big man to come off of your bench it’s likely the Knicks are planning to have less size on this team due to free agency losing players and potentially other trades they want to make and if you know you’re about to lose some size that’s why you look at players like Nick Richards and you want to trade for them because you know it’s going to help you from your bench and it’s going to add size something that you could be potentially losing it’s no surprise to me that the Knicks are targeting Nick Richards they have always had interest in Richards going back to the trade deadline but that begs the question we know the Knicks are interested in Nick Richards we know the Knicks want to trade for Nick Richards but what is that trade package going to look like what assets are the Knicks going to have to give up in a trade for Nick Richards well shout out to Evan Cedar and NBA insider with Forbes for giving us this following information here according to Ced the Knicks the Lakers and the Pacers have recently expressed trade interest in Nick Richards richards can likely be had from the Suns in exchange for future second round draft capital after they acquired Mark Williams and come on via the draft so let me get this straight in a trade for Nick Richards the only thing the Knicks are likely going to have to give up is cash and second round draft capital if that’s all it’s going to take to trade for Nick Richards the Knicks must trade for him that’s a very low cost honestly for me that’s a steal and if you’re gonna steal Nick Richards from the Suns to add him to this team a championship level team that the Knicks are trying to build out I am all for it and let’s just say the Knicks plans are to keep Mitchell Robinson and have him start at the five position next season then that means coming off of your bench backing up Mitchell Robinson is Nick Richards and I don’t know about you guys but for me I like him as a backup i like what he can do on the floor and if anything let’s say if Mitchell Robinson can’t go one night or he needs to take the night off or he’s injured potentially you could start Nick Richards right alongside Carl Anthony Towns he gives you that flexibility as well too for me it’s a no-brainer the Knicks have to add Nick Richards to this team because his cost it’s almost laughable it’s so low the Knicks must make this trade and shout out to Bobby Marks for outlining the Knicks off season and what they have access to and as you can clearly see here in the New York Knicks updated offseason roster moves it states that the Knicks has access to the 5.7 million taxpayer mid-level exception and the veteran minimum exception as well too the Knicks salary at this point in time after making the moves they made yesterday currently sits at 194 million they are currently below the first and second aprons as well too now you might be asking recap why are you talking about how much money the Knicks have in terms of salary the salary the mid-level exception they have the veteran minimum exception they have all of these things are extremely important to understand why do I say that going back to our initial report here with Nick Richards he has a $5 million non-g guaranteed salary for next season and it’s expected that the Suns will guarantee his contract so that way they have the ability to trade him and if they’re trading him and the Knicks want to trade him as well too they’re going to have to absorb that $5 million contract how can they do that they can do that now because yesterday they declined PJ Tucker’s option let’s go ahead and break down exactly what the Knicks did yesterday evening once free agency started shout out to Ian Begley of SNY for giving us this information here according to him by declining PJ Tucker’s option the Knicks also have the flexibility now to sign and trade their free agents to bring back a player under contract who makes up to the 5.6 million exception that last part there who makes up to the 5.6 6 million exception because of the moves the Knicks did yesterday they now can trade for Nick Richards who is likely going to be guaranteed $5 million in salary and since they have access to the 5.6 or 5.7 taxpayer mid-level exception now they can go ahead and make a trade for players like Nick Richards that’s why what the Knicks did yesterday was so important because now it’s helping them in their potential trade for Nick Richards Leon Rose and this Knicks front office they keep on making moves that nobody thinks possible remember they had significant trade interest for Nick Richards at the trade deadline they didn’t get him and now he’s available and they have access to him and they want him back they want him on this team and if they want that they have to make the necessary moves to give themselves an advantage to make that type of trade and they just did that yesterday by declining PJ Tucker’s option this is why New York makes the moves that they do because they understand at some point in time whatever move they make they understand it can support another move they want to make if they’re handling it the right way they handled the PJ Tucker situation extremely well and now they have everything that they could need to trade for Nick Richards and mind you a trade for Nick Richards is likely going to have to be matching salary and giving the Suns exactly what they want and according to reports that’s only second round draft compensation and likely cash things that the Knicks have access to it’s not a matter of if the Knicks are going to trade for Nick Richards it’s when when are the Knicks gonna pull off this move because clearly they want Nick Richards everything they’ve done so far in free agency is to set up this trade for Nick Richards so I’m anticipating whether it be today tomorrow or very very soon the Knicks will shortly announce that they’ve made a trade for Nick Richards and they’re adding them to this team and that trade is going to set off a chain reaction because once that move is made a number of other moves are going to be made by this Knicks front office and I’m telling you right now they’re preparing to make a monster trade but how do you make a monster trade you do that by making lower level moves first and adding Nick Richards is a lower level move but it also sets up a very impactful trade now all we have to do is be patient and wait because Leon Rose right now is working the phones trying to make magic happen and I can’t wait to see what that magic is but what about you guys what do you think about the Knicks exploring and discussing a trade for Sun center Nick Richards let me know how you feel about that in the comments section below guys because honestly I would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode i hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until next time Nick fans take care of yourself your families and each other peace and

I would pass Knicks should be trading for Giannis
Nick for Deuce straight up
I want him to come to New York Knicks
Stay away from this trade. Nick Richards does not move the needle. I watched him a few times when he was in Charlotte and believe me we have better talent now
We don't have to trade for Nick Richard's. We have 4 centers already…Towns, Hukporti, Mitch and James Nnaji
Nick Richards is Kinda mid…cant get too hyped unless we are giving up marginal talent.
Yea right we’re going to win a championship with Towns starting , who going to be guarding 3 players at once because with Jalen and Towns your going to need somebody, tell Minnesota we’re going to the championship with Towns they will laugh there heads off
Obviously they want a more polished center!! I don’t have a problem with it. The Knicks tried to get him before the trade deadline.
Are the Knicks preparing for Mitchell Robinson to be traded perhaps in a package forrrrrrrrr Giannis???????????? That’s what I’m seeing… because right now we have like 3 7-footers in the GLeague along with Hukporti and Mitchell…… sooooooo why the Nick Richards talk lolololol
Internet blowing up about Westbrook to Knicks possibly imminent!
Grizzlies extended JJJ!! So ig Giannis is the big trade if it happens 👀🤯
Clarkson is finalizing his buyout. I’d like to scoop him up.
As a backup why not
Smashed
This is a no brainer to add Clarkson to the bench.
I agree “WHERE IS MOSES BROWN!!!”
Really, this is not a huge deal 😂😂😂
He will be a Pacer who have more quantity of talented players.
Maturin for Nick Richards.
Please pick a head coach soon, Leon.
Yardie Born and Raised 🇯🇲🇯🇲, Bring him to NY Issa good look
I'm unsure about this move. I'm not saying that this is a bad choice.
But why don't the Knicks try to get one of these centers: Nic Claxton, DeAndre Ayton (looks like he's getting a buyout from Portland, he's 26 years old and he can shoot) or Mark Williams?
I would love if they get him
Yes we have moses. In moses we trust
Good pick but the Knicks need to trade Micheal Robinson for another big man who can put up points.
Sure will take two second round picks and Tyler
Where is Moses brown
I feel like if they do this, Mitchell Robinson will be traded later
Another video where the topic never happens
Good rebounder and shot blocker. Cheap too!
With "KAT, Robinson and Yabusele" the Frontcourt is getting crowded. I was hoping to develop the young "Beast" Hukporti. 🏀
Are the Knicks Running Back the team and just add?
I really can't see why they kept Hukporti and passed on Moses Brown?
Robinson will be costly and often injured is he really worth it 😢😢😢😢
