The NBA Media GETS EMBARRASSED BY OKC TITLE

i feel like the Lakers in a series it wouldn’t be like ah they’ve got a shot i think the Lakers are better than Oklahoma City headtohead
so I asked you guys what percent chance do you give the Thunder the to reach the NBA finals gil you said 0%
i said zero
mr b you gave them a 1% chance slightly higher than Gil
i believe that the Minnesota Timberwolves should be the favorite to win the championship at this point
i think they should be favored over the Knicks i think they should be favored over the Indiana Pacers i think they should be favored over OKC even
can you see that Kmart i see your hand i know you used to catch I know
but I don’t I don’t want to hear about OKC going what is that like 22 and one against the East who cares okc really really good regular season team but I I don’t know if they can do it in the playoffs
i like them i’m not in any way rooting against them but I said last week I’ve got Minnesota against whoever comes out of this thing and I’ve not changed my mind i think the Timberwolves have been definitively the best team when it comes the past five NBA seasons every single year the eventual NBA champion goes the exact same path with the NBA media as looking back at 2021 the Milwaukee Bucks their superstar Dumpo went through the mud to get his championship as the media constantly downplayed and discredited him said he wasn’t a skilled player and didn’t give him any shine to drop 50 in game six to clench the title steph Curry the following year a very similar trend the dynasty’s over curry can’t win he never get a finals MVP well of course that didn’t happen the Warriors did win and Curry vers Boston his best finals of his career 2023 Nicole Yogic he was called a stat pattern out of winning player he never win a title well that year’s playoffs after a 30-point triple double denver won their first championship and all the critics were silenced and then last of the Boston Celtics a duo of Tave and Brown who had never won a championship together they did just that looking at those four very distinct championship runs the one common thine in all them is immediate doubting their superstar players the team’s ability to win championship this year’s Thunder team the exact same story
i don’t have OKC in front of the Clippers i don’t have OKC in front of Golden State let’s be clear i don’t have OKC in front of Denver making the conference final
i don’t and so I think it’s a flaw may next year I think they they will be championship ready i’d be shocked if they won the championship
the Indiana Pacers have figured out how to play at this level okc has not
one week later
but Thunder have taken the NBA by storm for the first time the NBA champion resides at Oklahoma City
and look let’s not get it twisted okc versus the Pacers they were not Rocky Balboa they were Apollo Creek they were the favorite the team that should win and the team that did win if you follow this OKC team closely all year long them being the eventual champions is not that shocking but here’s the big time breaking news the open secret a lot of the NBA media you want to say quietly they don’t watch basketball games [Applause] explain yourself
i was doing what the hell I always do and for those out there who don’t like it kiss my ass and I’m sitting there and getting a little break and I decide to play a little solitude which by the way I always do when looking at OKC season from November 25th to April 13th they had the best record in the Western Conference and racked up 68 wins in the process that right there is absolute dominance and again if you’re paying attention a 68 win team historically does not lose the NBA title more than they win as looking at history out of the seven 68 win teams only two of them haven’t sealed the deal that being Boston in 73 how got hurt and the words in 2016 when they had some you know Adam Silver intervention i think you know what I’m saying look I’m not going to toot my own horn right here take a victory lap OKC1 because they won 68 games on the season but compared to the media you thought this team they were legit underdog but look at their resume first in defensive rating third in offensive rating first in net third in points per game and fourth in points per game that right there is a team that has no weakness an elite offensive team defensive team well-rounded they have a closer size wing depth of course speed quickness and physicality and top it all off a great head coach the only box OKC doesn’t check is not a big market team and when it comes to NBA media that’s damn near criminal
you could say SGAA PGA USA LG the Thunder a boost mobile bundle WWE Raw Rumble leg five
it was 4432 after one OKC didn’t crack 100 and so to me this was why people such as Brew and myself can feel like this team’s going to win the West
you have the Lakers coming out of the West or the Clippers coming out of the West
i have the Lakers coming out of the West
minnesota is going to win this series and knock out the Lakers so stop slapping that right there about 3 months ago the big time talking point that went so viral was you know Lakers and five shannon Sharp back then was feeling himself the Lakers they’re a legit team championship team they could beat OKC he said they would beat OKC wrong again
look I get it you’re a big LeBron fan big Laker fan you love that player love that team i understand that but at a point it just goes a little bit too far from being confident hopeful to being delusional and downright stupid and I’ve said this over and over again when it comes to winning an NBA championship it’s one on the floor and I’m sure like you guys know this season one of the big time talking points is you know the media only focus on two teams and a select few of players they look at the big market teams glamour players and they pick them as a hot trendy pick because they want those guys to win if the media pushed OKC and SG as hard they pushed the Lakers and Warriors the NBA as a whole would be in a much better spot and here’s the one thing that’s overlooked severely especially when the Lakers and five takes that’s the fact that defense it wins championships
he ain’t lying
looking at the past six NBA champion of the 2020s ranked highest lowest defensive rating here’s the list okc the defensive rating first overall the Warriors also first boston third lakers in 2020 third bucks in 2021 10th and Denver 15th the only big-time outlier is the Denver Nuggets and for them it’s not that shocking jokic on defense not phenomenal he’s average but offensively the best player by a mile even the Bucks with Giannis at 10th place ranking kind of misleading they still had the great Freak Drew Holiday Middleton and Lopez anchoring the defense for the most part even the modern NBA great defensive teams win championships the Thunder they’re not an exception to this rule now one more thing I do want to touch on when it comes to Thunder historically in 1015 years here’s what I think will eventually happen when they see this team won 68 games of the MVP they might go on to win more championships when we talk about this team specifically they’re going to say the championship from day one was always in the back but those who lived in the moment we know that was far from the case this series versus Indiana at certain points was hanging in the balance most specifically in game four in Indianapolis late in the third quarter the Indiana Pacers were by 10 points to a 2-1 lead in the series of momentum on their side at that point watching the game right there I’m in total disbelief the Indiana Pacers are the NBA champions but of course Etch in the fourth quarter Absy took over and had his moment of moments as in the fourth quarter 15 points 36 shooting and down the stretch two big time shots okc desperately needed gets it to SGA his drive hesitation backer is good back to Williams thought about a three gildus Alexander a three gildus Alexander on the drive pulls back baseline jumper’s good finals 44 seconds remaining and
to make the finals and the Thunder showing some grit and toughness that 15.4 fourth quarter that come back by SJ and the Thunder that is the moment of their season the defining moment for SJ as a player at this point in his career and look being the heavy championship favorites you’re supposed to win this series being down 10 in the third quarter on the road that is immense pressure a lot of times discussing underdogs versus favorites the favorites you know they have it much easier a lot of times not the case when you win 68 games you’re so dominant and you’re down a series trailing late the pressure is on you to come through win this game and the series the team not favored a to win like Indiana they’re playing with house money they’re playing loose and they’re playing confident okc that fourth quarter they could have gotten tight clamped up and choked and gone down 3-1
i guess we’ll never know now looking at SJ’s overall legacy this season whether you love him or hate him is an historic season based off accolades as looking through history only nine players ever won the finals MVP as was MVP that being Kareem Moses Bird Magic Jordan Aake Shaq and LeBron that list right there is the elite of the elite and narrow it even further looking MVPs and scoring champions only four guys ever fit that bill for a single season that being Kareem Jordan Shaq and now SGA Okay so that right there is the end the video and I’ll say one last thing when it comes to championship teams in the 2010s the majority of them they were bought and paid for through collusion and player entitlement and just player shenanigans the past five championship teams they’ve been built organically the Thunder Boston Denver Golden State and Milwaukee those changed how they won organically and won the right way at the end of the day those championships they mean more to those franchising than those players because they were won in that fashion as always thank you guys for watching hope you enjoyed it i’ll see you next time

2026. Hope you enjoy.

  1. Stop referencing 2016 was given to anyone. Draymond Green has been the biggest piece of shit in basketball. And deserves every tech, suspension, fine, and more

  2. This is absolutely why no one should listen to a damn thing any of the sports media says, they only prop up the teams and players they like and to hell with everyone else.

  3. Barkley called out ESPN then said the Thunder were going to win. There's a reason everyone likes Inside the NBA over the shows

  4. This goes to show that all that they are saying is just a bust and full of wanna be basketball geniuises haahahahaha okc has kick their asses with embarrasment hahahaahhaa lets Go thunder…

  5. OKC is going on a run like the Warriors did. If they stay together, watch out because they are the youngest team and only going to get better.
    Thunder Up ⬆️

  6. lakers in five. years.

after okc has won a few 😅 shannon sharpe is a sex pest/idiot. sterling sharpe should be embarrassed by his idiot brother.

  7. Love seeing loudmouth buffoons like Shannon Sharpe and Nick Wrong be constantly wrong.

Almost as great as seeing my favorite teams winning a championship.

  8. These people are ALL wrong ALL the time
Amd every single one of the will wake up the next morning like nothing happened and go on the show as if they had all picked okc
They will say a few things good about okc, then go right back to talking down to the team

  9. Nick Wrong, Shanon sharpe amd marcus morris, and Bru actually were the 4 that kept really getting on my nerves this year about OKC..
I usually like Bru’s takes but Nick influenced him to much this year
Shannon and Marcus were Complete idiot ms though!!!
Lakers lost in 5 to the wolves!!

  10. Those sports media make me laugh every single year 😂 bla-bla-bla porzingis gonna flop bla-bla-bla wemby ain’t physical they get wrong every year and people still listen those « professionals » 🤡

  11. Haaaaa. I love these moments fam! Favortism make us all think cloudy sometimes, but I had Mavs until the dismantling & by semi-finals I was sayin NYC vs OKC in them finals g. Now I wish I had bet on my picks frfr lol😂

  12. The Media only cares about big markets, bandwagon fans called this the worst finals ever and boring even though it went 7 games and game 7 was very close until the late 3rd. And yes it was LAKERS IN 5…. LAKERS IN CANCUN IN 5!

  13. Sports analysts are not analysts. They just say whatever they feel based on what they see with nothing to back up what they say

  14. FOH did you just blame Adam silver for gsw blowing a 3-1 lead? I'm not even a bron or cavs fan but you can get the f*ck outta here, the cavs were just awsome that year.

  15. Then next year watch those same haters come back and start loving OKC after all the bs they said this season this video had me dead 🤣🤣
Thunder up NBA World champions ⚡️🗣️🏆🏆

  16. Man knight wright is such a Lebron glazer
    He sucks
The rest of these media airheads couldn’t get things right if your life depended on it
And you come back in the next day after OKC smokes the opposition and just completely act like nothing happened… like uuu just didn’t say they would lose the day before smh !!!!

  17. Not Adam silver, or the refs were for okc man
Okc put the work in and did it
    Period
Okc would have beat the lakers or anyone else
