The Nuggets, Ben Tenzer and John Wallace, have gotten rid of Michael Porter Jr’s contract. They’ve saved $33 million over the next two years. They have addressed the backup center position as of this morning. And they went out and got Bruce Brown back for the Denver Nuggets to come in and serve that six-man role. Oh, yeah. And got him on the veteran minimum as well.
Yeah. Outstanding. Outstanding work that they’ve done because are they better than the team that took OKC to seven? Yes, they are. Yes, 1,00%. Uh, they’re better. They’ve gotten all of their holes pretty much filled. If we look at backup big, that’s done now. If we look at rim protecting, that’s done now. If we look at dribble driving from the three-point line instead of just standing there all day in the corner like MPJ, that’s done now. Saving money, getting that veteran leadership on the bench from Bruce B coming back. Cowboy Bruce, a Denver Nugget once again. So, I think the answer is clearcut. This team that gave OKC the toughest of any team in all of the NBA playoffs, yes, that includes your Pacers. This team, the Denver Nuggets, which took OKC to seven, are now better than that squad. And that squad that was just like kind of hanging on at the end. That squad that could have beaten OKC in five or six, took them to seven, beat up, tired, worn down. Now, you don’t need to do that. As the regular season goes on, because of the depth of your bench, the quality of your bench, you’re going to be able to play Nicole Joic a normal amount of minutes. Somewhere Michael Malone is confused by this, but like that’s awesome because we’re talking playoff basketball and playoff basketball means have Joker as fresh as possible.
