Miami Heat Summer League Preview – Roster Reactions And Players To Watch!

Summer League roster reaction Miami Heat edition. I’ll run through every single player on this team. We can uh give our lineup that we would play the most, the best lineup. Uh we’ll play who’s that distinguished gentleman, of course, and just give you our general thoughts uh alphabetically here for the Miami Heat. Umar Balo out of Indiana, JC Butler, Javvante Cook, Dane Danger, Myron Gardner, Vlad Golden, Kasparis, Yakonis, Kesha Johnson, Pel Larson, those teammates are back together. Kyra Lewis Jr., Steve Settle III, Eric Stevenson, Khalil Wear, Bryson Warren, and Marcus Williams. It’s an interesting roster. There’s a lot of very good players. Some players I think are probably too good for summer league on this team. And also a lot of like connected pairs here like Khalil Wear and Umar Balo who replaced Khalil Wear backto back here. Um again you’ve got Keshot and Pel Lararsson who were teammates in college. You’ve got uh Dane Dana and Kaspari Yakonas who both come from Illinois. Vlad Golden a guy who played against a lot of these names. It’s a very interesting group for me and I think maybe a more starladen roster for summer league than some of the others we’ve seen thus far. What’s your reaction?
Yeah, there’s definitely some uh first team all shut it down after two game players in here like be on the bench in sweats and like be get a trip to Vegas out of it. I will say that. Um I was surprised to see K wear on the roster, but you know maybe you just want to get him some reps, maybe he doesn’t play well. Um I my first initial takeaway though is I kind of don’t really like this roster.
Whoa. Why?
I just think there’s a lot of frontcourtness in this outside of like in the back court you have Kasparis. But like I don’t know. Marcus Williams doesn’t do it for me. Bryson Warren doesn’t do it for me. Eric Stevenson, no thank you. Like I don’t know. Like just a lot of I don’t know. I think I maybe it’s because there’s a lot of front court players that I want to see playing a heavy role but I don’t know how it unfolds. I mean, Kyra Lewis and Pel Larson are like actual NBA playing guards. Like, I I don’t feel like that’s too underwhelming. Um,
is Kyra Lewis an actual NBA playing guard?
Yeah, I was unaware.
Or at least like in the mix, right? Like teams want to be. Yeah. As we go through this, I need to I need to get an in the mix check.
They’re not just like shoeins. Eric Stevenson, if you’re looking for more just like the fun guy to have on the team, like Eric Stevenson was playing TBT a year ago, I’m pretty sure, and now he’s in summer league. So, but he’s a guy who can fill it up. I enjoy watching him. I feel like you just don’t like this roster because Dane Dane just buried on the death chart and you know it. Guys that will demand more front court minutes on this team in summer league than Dane Danger. Khalil Wear, Umarbalo, Vlad Golden.

There’s going to be some guys that shut it down too by the way.
Yeah, I mean multiple for sure. But, uh, assuming they that every one of these guys plays and does not shut it down, what’s the best lineup we could come up with? Uh, am I the coach or that he am I the coach? Sure. Yeah. Dane at the one. Um, no. I think the best actual lineup you can put out there is probably Kyra Lewis. Um, actually, you know what? I’m gonna go Kyra and Kasparis to start. Kyra and Kasparis to start. And then I think I go Pel, Keshad, and where it’s I mean that’s a summer league winning team if they all play. I would play Kasparis at the one. I’ll play Pel Larson at the two. I would play Keshot at the three. I think I would actually play uh maybe maybe even throw Khalil at the four and one of the big bigs at the five. Whether that’s Vlad or Balo or Dane if you really want to do whatever you want. Pick one. Don’t be like that. Pick one. I worry about Umar Balo in uh Well, I guess he’s not in Miami. I worry about Umar in Vegas. So, I think I’d play Vlad Golden.
