Utah Jazz (Ace Bailey) vs Houston Rockets (Kevin Durant) | NBA 2K26 Rosters

Welcome everyone. Thanks for tuning in to 2K Sports for this NBA presentation. I’m Kevin Harland with Greg Anthony and Richard Jefferson alongside David Aldridge is with us from the floor tonight. The starters for the Utah Jazz. They’ve got Markin Collier out there with Kei George. Then it’s John Collins and it’s Bailey in at the three spot. And for Houston the post pair form it’ll be Smith and Shangon. Thompson is out there with Fred Van Vleet and it’s Durant in at the three. RJ, this could be a battle won in the trenches. Each team with a formidable front court. Yeah, both these teams are loaded with a lot of skill down low. Kind of old school. Should be a physical contest. Pass to Bailey. Smith against Markin [Applause] from past the ark. That one’s in. His first shot this game.
How about the shooting stroke from Markin appearing very comfortable pulling the trigger from deep. Shenun with the screen for Van Vleet. Pass to KD. Puts up a three. Can’t hit that one. [Applause] George against Thompson. [Applause] Here’s Cier. Jazz passing it around. Six to shoot. Here’s Markin. It’s rebounded by Houston. Thompson outside. Lets the free fly. KD’s shot is off. Utah with the ball. [Applause] Pass to Calier. Outside marking it. There’s the triple. That one’s a miss. His third shot of the game. He’s made one of them. A moment now to hear from our sideline reporter, Hall of Famer David Aldridge. David.
Hey Kevin. I caught up with coach Eay Adoka. We talked about the challenges that come with playing against Lorie Markin. Coach said you have to know where Lori is at all times because he’s so effective playing off the ball. He’s a knockown shooter and a smart cutter and he moves extremely well for his size. This team’s got a lot of respect for the mobile 7-footer. Back to you guys.
Thanks, David. This is as easy as it gets for Collins. Once he establishes position, the defense is toast. The wide open look for Durant. Another miss by Houston.
The defense just giving him the easy look there. He’s not going to miss that.
RJ, the Rockets don’t just have young, they have elite young talent.
Yeah, you can have all the high draft picks in the world. That doesn’t mean you’re going to hit on the right guys. But Houston, they certainly have. Hams it from downtown. Slick shot by Durant. Gets the pass and is in his motion. A second later outside Markin back to George. [Applause] picks up a three. Offensive rebound. Collins good.
Becoming a true force on the offensive glass. Love how hard Collins goes after those second chance opportunities. Now here’s Van Vleet down low. Here’s Shenon. And Shenun throws it down.
Yeah, a nice strong finish on the inside. But great, that’s what he does. He’s got the dunker mentality. Markin in a screen on Van Vleet left side. Markin [Applause] uses the glass to finish the layup. Markin’s got five now.
Look, you got to keep Markin out of the paint. He’s just too big on that block and imposes his will. Pass to Van Fleet. [Music] Smith outside. Shenun with the screen for Thompson. [Applause] make Collins with it [Applause] on the lane. George covered by Van Dete and it’s George missing trail by four. Some tough offensive sets. They want to turn it around.
Yeah, right now you just need a bucket to get some momentum. Van bleed against George
and it’s sent back by George. [Applause] Pass to Bailey. [Applause] George with the bounce pass. Collins. A screen on Jenu. Fires from the wing. It’s rebounded by Houston.
Not sure what what the D was doing there. Clearly a breakdown. You can ill afford to give a guy like him that good a look.
The three from KD nailed from three-point land. KD’s got a pair of threes now in the first quarter for the Rockets. For Utah, they’ve gone 410 shooting the ball here in the first quarter to the inside and stolen by Shangon. Launches a three. KD’s shot is off. And here’s George. He’ll bring it up for the Utah Jams. And Alberon Shenun continues to prove himself, RJ, is one of the game’s most promising big man. Oh, a lot of it is because of his passing ability, Kevin. Shades of Nicole Yokic out there. Having a big man who can distribute like Shingun is a real luxury.
And timeout is called by Eime Udoko. Looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about. [Applause] [Applause] Houston making some changes. Tory Een’s checked in for Smith. Tory and Finny Smith comes in for Kevin Durant. And Aaron Holidays subbed in for Fred Van Vleet. Holiday finds Shangon. Shenon with the screen for E and foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. Well, Greg, over the last few seasons, one area of consistency for the Jazz has been their rebounding.
Yeah. And they have some size and they make controlling the boards a focal point. When you’re playing Utah, you better be ready to put a body on somebody. get it. Big rebound. Let’s get it. Get it. Good. Good.
That free throw good from E.
You know, Greg, thinking back to the glory days in Utah, they went to back-to back finals in 97 and 98.
Unfortunately though, Kevin, that that Stockton Malone era, they just couldn’t overcome the dynastic Bulls. The the Jazz still searching for that first NBA title. And so Een nails both of them. GA, if you look back at the Rockets history, so many all-time greats have spent time there.
Yeah, it’s an impressive list, right? Elijah, Moses Malone, Calvin Murphy, and Harden. Houston’s well represented in the Hall of Fame.
Collins a screen on Holiday. Six on the shot clock and he starts out with a miss in this one. The Rockets straight. Pass to Johnson. Three-pointer and Holiday with the basket on the assist by Thompson.
And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple on the lane. George still without a basket. The Rocket shooting 33% here in the first quarter. Holiday. The pass to Thompson. There’s 37 seconds left here in the opening quarter. Yep. It counts and the Rockets lead by four.
We see this night in and night out. Thompson uses his size and elevation to make tough shots in the paint. to halt the run and it’s good on the layup.
And a nice job here early of establishing an inside presence outside Holiday [Applause] to the paint. Here’s Shenu. Second shot opportunity at the end of one. A closely contested game so far. Houston on top up by two. We’ll be back shortly live from Houston, Texas. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter. And we’ll see what happens here in the second. And a closer look here at the scoring breakdown for the Rockets.
They’ve really been dialed in from deep. This is a team that has a ton of confidence in their outside shooting ability.
And also guys, they’re playing for one another right now. All those extra passes are leading to easy buckets. And so Holiday will bring it up for the Houston Rockets. So on the floor for Utah, Nkitch is out there with Vipowski. Then it’s Keian George and it’s Hendrickx in at the small forward position. outside. George beyond the ark. East grabs the board. East in the lead. Now Shepard off to Holiday. Now East to the middle. Here’s Shenu shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. It’s going to be on Ysef Nerkach.
I mean, even from over here, you could see that one pretty clearly.
First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The free throw dropped for Shangun. Incredible for his age. The decision making of Shenun GA is very impressive. So calm when he sees a double coming. Reads and reacts with ease when he’s on the block or at the nail. Reminds you of a young Jokic with how he sees the game. And the Rockets making a change here. Van Gle checked in. Shangon hits them both. We know the 90s were a different era, Greg. Either win the game or win the fight. And under that, do you miss that physicality?
Well, I will say, Kevin G, it made for some great stories. But I don’t think we’re missing much without all the extracurriculars. I think we have a beautiful game here. Pass to Finny Smith and finish off by Finny Smith. the D just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason, GA, the lead is what it is right now.
Yeah, it’s going to take better rim protection than that if they’re going to climb out of this hole. And while we’ve got a moment, let’s send it over to our terrific reporter, David. David,
thanks Kevin. Alperin Shenon is a weapon in the block. Coach Eugoka said there are not a ton of true low post threats in the NBA nowadays. Joel Embiid, Joic. I don’t know how many others there are anymore. Alp’s had success against pretty much everybody that’s guarded him. Kevin, his footwork is indeed high level.
Da totally agreed. Great footwork. Moves on moves. I’ve always said the Jazz making a switch here.
Sens checked in. And that one misses. So RJ the Rockets. Last year they were exactly at 500. 41 up and 41 down.
Still they missed the play in by five games. In the East they easily are in. That just tells you how difficult a rebuild in the Western Conference is. And Houston is up against it
and creating a little separation here, gaining some confidence.
Yeah, they’ve locked in during this stretch. If they keep it up, their lead will only continue to grow.
And Will Hardy is called timeout. He wants to regroup and go over the strategy. [Applause] [Applause] Two minutes now played in the second quarter. [Applause] George looking over the floor. Here’s Sensall guarded by Holiday. Good. Sensab has got his first bucket in this one.
And those are the kind of nice inside looks they’ve gotten here in the first half. Pass to Shenun. Back to Van Vleet. George with the steel. He takes it in. Hkins with the rebound. Benny Smith with it. Van Vleet passes to Holiday. Here’s Een. Van Vleet wide open and the three off target. Jazz trail by eight. They need a bucket in a big way here to regain some confidence. Pass to sensible ball. Off with the layup and it’s Van Vleet with the ball for Houston. Only given up two points this quarter. Shangon with the ball. Here’s Finny Smith. The Rockets with another miss.
And they had some botched coverage that turned into no cover
and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line.
I tell you what, he earned his money on that foul.
Utah shooting their first free throws of the game.
And one of the highlights last year for this group was the fact that they were so efficient from the charity strike. That’s a huge factor. [Applause] The first free throw is good. So for the Rockets. Durant checked in for Tory and Finny Smith. And Thompson in for Aaron Holiday. four. [Applause] No good on the second free throw. Houston leading by seven. Thompson outside. Van Fleet up top. Out to the right wing. Harkin in against E. Five to shoot. Launches it. A three-pointer is right on target. Een’s got the lead up to 10 now for the Rockets. And what kind of defense was that? You can’t give up wide open threes like that. What are you doing? And Will Hardy has called timeout. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys. [Applause] And the Rockets making a change here. Cabela’s checked in. [Applause] [Applause] Pass to Filipowski. Nice ball movement by Utah. Three-pointer Markin. His shot is good. Scores his third basket in six tries. Shooting 50%. Thompson outside. Durant in the corner. Shots over Markin. The shot by KD. No good. Jazz trail by seven. Here’s Cure. [Applause] Pass to Bailey from the arc. Buries the long range jumper. Bailey’s got himself on the board with three there.
What are you doing? You can’t give a player like him that much space. Come on now.
And Vleet right side. Now East and here is Capelloa. Here’s Thompson. The layup off target. Chaz have gone just 33% from the field in what’s been a cold second quarter for them. Just three of nine. Here’s Collier off the mark there with the three-point shot. Rockets leading by four. Pass to Durant. The three. The rebound by Cier. Utah’s gone two for five from three-point land since the end of the first. And Kevin Durant, one of the top 10 scorers in league history. And RJ still going strong. And he does it with efficiency. Kevin takes great shots and he’s incredibly accurate. And if he doesn’t have a look, he’s a willing passer. Now here’s Thompson. A remarkin unable to get his shot to go. Rocketing off the deck. Thompson showing that youthful exuberance. 153 left to play in the first half. Jazz trail by six. Outside Collins pass to Markin. They set the pick from deep. Een grabs the board. Een’s got his fifth rebound in this one. And here’s Thompson. [Applause] Shot clock at six and Thompson throws it down and he’s got rocket ship like takeoff. Thompson can flat out fly. They’ve been struggling here on offense. Yeah, a bit of a dry spell for sure. Here’s Collier pass to Bailey. Here’s Collier Collins. A screen on Van Vleet Co. Rockets with the rebound. Een’s got his sixth rebound on the night. Van Vleet kicks to Thompson. Capella the pass to Een. Thompson surveying the floor and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. And with his movement skills, Thompson routinely catches defenders out of position.
The Rockets shooting their sixth and seventh free throws in the game. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Music] No good on the free throw. Shenun’s checked in for the Rockets. Smith comes in for Tari Een. And Utah also making a switch. Keonte George. He’s checked in for Philippowski. And the second free throw. Good. Jazz trail by nine. Just to Collins. Here’s Bailey. Collins in the post. Shen’s there.
And that’s two tough points from Collins. Willing to mix it up down low. Van Vleet outside. [Music] Shenun inside and the rejection by Collins. And so it’s Houston bringing the quarter to a close with a seven-point lead. They’re playing a cruising game inside and it’s working for them. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by courtside. David,
hey Kevin, thanks KD. Some great work for you defensively. How have you been able to contain them? They’re so tough. Uh but we we’re playing hard. You know, guys are getting beat, but we’re helping each other out and um that’s what we have to do if we want to win this game.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Thanks for your time, man. Back to you, Kevin.
Thank you, David. And we’ll be right back after halftime to start the third quarter. See you in just a bit. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] and happy you could join us. We’ve got two quarters left to go in regulation. It’s been quite a game for Lowry Markin and how about the amount he’s contributing in the scoring column through two quarters. He has been terrific.
He always wants to be a go-to guy for them. I’m sure he’ll be calling for the ball even more in this half. The post pair form. It’ll be Smith and Shangun. Red band play bleed out there with a men Thompson and it’s Durant in at the small fork. That’s the five for Houston right now. Yeah, even though he’s slender, Durant is good at keeping his balance through contact. The man is stronger than he looks.
It’s time now to hear from our Hall of Fame reporter, David Aldridge. What’s the latest, David?
Kevin, the Rockets are making progress. Coach Dumoka said it doesn’t happen overnight. Changing habits and things like that takes time. Guys learn and grow at a different pace. My thing is getting us all on the same page. We’re not that far off, Kevin. And they sure look like they’re building in the right direction,
David. They are. And some good vets have helped as well. And we thank you for that report. Now, here’s Durant after the miss from John Collins. And KD throws it down. And it doesn’t get any easier for Durant with his size and length. Dunking just comes, you know, pretty easy for him. Now here’s Minan. Eight points for him. Collins setting the big for Markin. The three-pointer no good. Rockets leading by 11. Van Vleet outside to the inside. Here’s Shenu. He can’t get it to go. Collins with some nice D. Just over a minute and a half played here in the third. Collins setting the pick for George. Pass to Cier. Four on the clock. Shoots over Van Fleet. The Jazz with another miss for Houston. They’ve gone two of four here to start the second half. Left side. KD kicks it out to Van Vleet. Another shot. Good on the jump shot. Van Vleet’s got the lead up to 13 now for the Rockets.
And expect smart plays like that from Van Vleet. He he is a clever four general who knows how to create. And Will Hardy is called timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Just under two and a half minutes into the third quarter now. Pass to Bailey. There’s a good screen. Lock at six. They need this one. And the layup is up and in. Bailey’s got five now. And so Van Vleet will bring it up for the Rockets. Shangon with the ball. Get there. Get there. Collins with some nice deep.
Outstanding work to send him away. They sniff that one out. Here’s Collier. Pass to Markin the three. And it’s Durant with the rebound. And he keep trying to get himself out of this rut. But maybe it’s not meant to be. I focus on sharing it with his teammates at this point.
Now here’s Thompson. 11-point game. Durant inside. Risarded by Collins. A shot by KD. No good. They could use a big shot here to get this offense going. Too many empty possessions right now. They need a basket.
Good on the three-point shot.
And no matter who it is, that kind of D isn’t going to get it done. And what I love about Mark and he takes care of the basketball. And that’s a result of being patient, playing smart, and just generally getting his points within the flow of the offense. Right back at you, Smith with that picture perfect stroke. Pass to Bailey to the middle. That one goes in. Eight points for him. And if you’re the guy who has to guard him, it is never going to be an easy night for you. Shenon with a screen on George and it’s good for two. It helps that Thompson can score with either hand close to the bucket. Defenders can’t force him to one side or the other. Here’s Bailey. He has five. Fires the three and Utah another three. Houston leading by eight. Van Vleet kicks to Shangon. Pass to Thompson. Smith on the wing. Van Vleet outside. Puts it up and off the left side of the rim and it swirls in for him. Van Vleet’s got six points. Jazz trail by 10. And Will Hardy calls timeout here. He wants to talk to his guys and Van Vleet not the same scoreer he once was Richard but he has improved his playmaking
and that’s the adjustment that Vanleet needed to make. The scoring doesn’t always have to be there for him, but if he can set up, facilitate, and be a game manager, he’ll find a large role. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Tory Een’s checked in for Fred Van Vleet. [Applause] pass to Bailey. Offline with his three. Pockets lead by 10 to the paint. Here’s Durant. additions in there.
So polished from the interior. Durant is terrific at utilizing his physical advantages down on the block. [Music] Pass to Hrix outside. Collins. Here’s Bailey. Just five on the clock. Second chance shot. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. And I like the fact that the defense is looking to protect the rim at all costs. And let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the Rockets.
I’m liking the throwback approach. They’re making use of the mid-range area and inflicting major damage there.
And all game long, they they work the ball inside. It’s really worked well for them offensively. And he knocks down the first one. That’s also good. So, he hits both free throws. Rockets leading by 10. Now here’s Shenun. Good on the shot. Shenun’s got six points.
Unwilling to let up even for a moment. That’s his killer instinct. Just fanning the flame.
Always plays hard until the final whistle no matter what the situation is. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much debate there. The Jazz shooting their fifth and sixth free throws of the game. Shane two and he makes the first. Houston making some changes. Tory and Vinnie Smith comes in for Jabari Smith and Aaron Holidays subbed in for Thompson. [Music] [Applause] So he picks up just one from the line that time. Houston leading by 11 and Finny Smith gets it to go. Finny Smith’s got his second basket.
And when the score is as lopsided as it is and you can see they smell blood in the water, that man is going for the juggle. Here’s Vipowski. Still scoreless by Collins. No good. 116 left in the third quarter. Durant. The pass to Een. Comes up empty down low. Jazz trail by 13. with the teardrop. It’s rebounded by Shenun. Shenun’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Holiday dishes to KD. They shoot again. Durant cleans it up and puts it in.
There he is beasting on the glass. converting the opportunity, trying to put this game away.
Always giving Max effort on the glass, taking everything they’ll give him.
Taylor, another miss by Utah.
Another miss from him, struggling to find his rhythm. And Finny Smith gets it to go. Finny Smith’s got six points.
And the combination of his quickness and soft touch around the rim really allows him to pull off shots like that. A lot of players don’t have the reverse in their arsenal.
Well, through three quarters of play, down double digits, it may be difficult to overcome. Rockets lead by 17. We’ll be back shortly live from Houston, Texas. And let’s take now this moment to bring up our State Farm assist of the game. And I’m glad this was the pick because I love this pass. Such a great dish. That’s what I call court vision.
That wasn’t a better pass in the game. Almost like he had a six sense. And we reach the fourth quarter in a game that may be already out of hand. And so it’s Williams who brings it up for the Jams. Trailing by 17 and Utah looking at who they’ve got to start the fourth quarter. We’ve got Williams. ISKI’s out there with Norkitch. And it sends a ball in at the one. And I like the decision making. He’s taking what the defense is willing to give him. Yeah. If they aren’t going to take away his space from mid-range. Look, he’s going to continue to shoot it.
Jazz trail by 15. Williams for three. The Rockets pull it in. Een’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. Here’s Thompson. Great D that time from Nerkach on offense. Here are the Jets guys. They’re looking for a way to score here. Yeah, they’ve had a tough time taking the lid off. Pass to Philowski. Back to Norcach. The Jazz working the ball around now. Williams can’t hit. Hit leading by 15. Pulls up and he will wheels that one in. Sinking right through off the back iron. And great find by Vanble. He’s in control of this offense and generally makes good decisions. Williams catch to Norkitch. [Applause] Here’s Sensible covered by Vanet. Hendricks good.
He can really stroke it from deep. You have to keep better tabs on him. Now Finny Smith. Pick by Vinnie Smith. Hangs home the trifecta.
The real come at us and we’ll come right back at you. Yeah, I love the competitive fire right there. You drain a triple on us and I’m coming for my revenge.
Now here’s Williams. Here’s Hrix. [Applause] Here’s Sensible Ball.
The shot from the low post is good.
Pick works well there. Not much resistance from the deep.
Yeah, that just comes down to a lack of effort. The defender has to do a better job fighting through the screen.
Here’s Finny Smith. [Applause] Pass to Capella. shoots it up. No good from Finny Smith. Jazz trail by 15. Down low. Here’s Philipki.
Give credit where credit is due right there. A terrific assist. The Rockets have gone two for five on field goal attempts in the fourth quarter. [Applause] Van Voy right side.
A floater and it’s blocked. Capella sets a screen for Thompson. Houston needs to get a shot. No good from Penny Smith. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. He had a defender all over. shooting two. First free throw is good. Houston with a big group substitution here. Shenun’s checked in for Clint Capella. Jabari Smith comes in for Dorian Finny Smith. KD’s jacked in for Amen Thompson. And Aaron Holidays subbed in for Fred Van Vleet. [Applause] And Williams drops them both. Fourth quarter of play and over three and a half minutes have gone by. Durant against George. An easy two points on the layup. Durant’s got 10 points here in the second half. Jazz trail by 13 outside Collins. He scores his fifth field goal. He’s taken nine shots to get those five.
And let the big man eat. It’s clear that Collins loves getting these kinds of scoring opportunities. [Applause] Holiday with the three. Rebound Utah. Here’s Collier. Pass to Markin. Collins with it. Outside George. He gets it to fall. That makes it just a single digit lead. George has got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Here’s Een for three. Durant and it’s held in by Lowry Markin. Here’s Collier. [Applause] Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The free throw drops for Collier. For the Rockets, Amen Thompson. He’s checked in for Tari East. And it’s Fred Van Vleet in for Aaron Holiday. Bailey, he’s checked in for the Jazz. That one is no good. Houston leading by seven. And it’s Thompson that time on the assist by Shenu. And 11 points from Amen. Thompson. And Will Hardy calls timeout here. He’s clearly intent on wanting to lock in and make sure everyone’s on the same page. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] And let’s head over to the sideline and catch up with David Aldridge.
Thanks, guys. Able to listen in on Will Hardy’s huddle with his team now. He’s not pleased with the perimeter game on both sides of the ball. He told his guys, “We aren’t working hard enough out there. We need to shut down the perimeter on defense and on offense. We have to focus from good to great, guys.”
All right. Thank you, David outside. George pass to Markin over Smith. That one’s in there. Pocket lead is cut down now to just seven on the bucket from Markin. Thompson outside and the foul called on Isaiah Callie. That’s his first foul. You got to love strong defense, especially when it comes in the form of harsh rejections. Wow.
And guys, that block could really help change the momentum of this game. Shangun finds Smith. Outside. Durant. Van Vleet outside. Just five to shoot. Shoots over. Pier rebound Utah. [Applause] We’ve got 155 left to play here in the fourth. And Markin throws it down. And once Markin flips the switch, it’s fun to watch. Love seeing him be that aggressive outside. Durant Smith. That’s the pick for KD Shang. And Shangoon is right there. And folks, he did not luck into that one. He knew just where he wanted to be to grab that back door. Pass to Markin. [Applause] Shenun with the rebound. Shenun’s got double digit rebounds now in the game. Here’s Thompson. It falls through making him six for 11 in the game. And obviously his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight.
He’s just riding the wave of momentum right now. Getting to his spots and keeping things simple on the offensive side. Here’s Collier and there’s the drive and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up and Dan Glee picks one up. Shooting two. And he misses the first one. Boy, he wanted that one to fall. [Applause] And the second of two is good. That brings them within eight. You hope that leaving points at the line won’t come back to haunt them. And it’s Van Vleet with the ball for the Houston Rockets. Mark it in against Smith. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. A darn good free throw shooter. Smith doesn’t seem to have a weak spot coming into the league. Two shots on the first gets the first and that will put them up by nine.
What I like about Smith is that he impacts the game whether he is scoring or not. [Applause] And a tough break is his second attempt at the line. No good from the stripe. He’s rebounded by Shenun. They’re in good position here to ride it out. Yeah, certainly. If they just play smart, this game’s over. We’ve got a 9-second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. And that one drops.
And credit the whole team. It was a focused, concerted effort to put this one away. And it felt like they just flipped the switch to go on that run and seal the game, saving their best basketball for the end. Always smart. Collins. And then Collins slams it in. Nine seconds left in the game. So, we see the Rockets get the win here. Some good moments throughout this one, but they had the clear advantage down the stretch.
Yeah, I mean, I love the way they executed on both ends of the floor. Completely under control for the vast majority of the game. And whenever there was a misstep, they just didn’t allow it to fester. And that’s why they’re going to walk away with the win. And now, let’s check in with David Aldridge reporting from the sideline for our player of the game. David, take it away.
Kevin, thanks KD. A statement win. How satisfying is it for you? It was fun. It was fun. Um, we came out, played hard. Uh, guys played together and this was all I expected, man. I’m I’m glad that, you know, we was able to get the win tonight. We looking forward to the next game.
We’re looking forward to seeing you out there again, man. Thanks. Back to you, Kevin.
All right, DA. Thanks again. And that’ll wrap it up, folks. Richard Jefferson, Craig Anthony, and David Aldridge. This is Kevin Harland thanking you for watching tonight’s game on 2K Sports. And now, our player of the game, Kevin Durant.
