The NBA is finished! San Antonio Spurs just built the scariest young core of all time!

Welcome to Hoops Insider, where every dribble, every trade, and every locker room whisper becomes headline news. The NBA never sleeps, and neither do we. Let’s dive into the madness.
WBY had 38 last night, become one of the best fourth quarter players in the league, and he’s 19. Watching him at the rim, watching him in the fourth quarter, this isn’t a guy who gets his stuff in the middle quarters against backups. He’s taking over fourth quarters. I’m not saying there’s not good young guys with talent. Anthony Edwards is amazing, but I’ve seen lots of good athletes. Trey Young can really shoot. I’ve seen a lot of good shooters. I haven’t seen this. The NBA only gives us one jaw-dropping talent every 8 to 10 years. It’s true. Wilt in the 60s could have played multiple sports. Kareem in the 70s, Magic Anne Bird in the 80s, MJ in the late8s90s, Shaq in the early 2000s, LeBron 2010s, and then Steph. I’m not talking just because they won titles. I’m talking stuff you’ve never seen before.
Welcome to Hoops Insider, the only place where the NBA’s raw truth gets exposed. The San Antonio Spurs just pulled off a scandalous coup in the 2025 NBA draft. and Victor Webbyama at just 19 is torching the league’s foundations that tonight we’re dissecting a franchise teetering between eternal glory and a catastrophic collapse. This isn’t just basketball, it’s a revolution and the Spurs are leading the charge. Strap in because we’re about to unravel the future and it’s absolutely electrifying. First, let’s dive into the alien rewriting the NBA’s rules. Victor Wanyama, a generational freak who’s already shaking the earth. Victor Webanyama isn’t human. He’s a 7 foot5 force of nature. A 19-year-old Frenchman dismantling the NBA’s very soul. Last night, he erupted for 38 points, shooting 13 of 24 from the field, seven of 15 from three with four blocks and zero fouls. A statline that screams dominance. But it’s the fourth quarter where Webby ascends to godhood. This isn’t some benchwarmer patting stats in garbage time. No, he’s seizing control when the stakes are highest. Bending games to his will with a clutch gene that’s frankly terrifying. The NBA only blesses us with a talent this jaw-dropping every 8 to 10 years. Rewind history. Will Chamberlain in the 60s, a multisport titan. Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the 70s, an unstoppable skyhook. Magic and Bird in the 80s, redefining rivalry. Michael Jordan in the ’90s, a global myth. Shaq in the 2000s, a wrecking ball. LeBron James, the chosen one, and Steph Curry, the man who broke the three-point line. Weamama’s in that pantheon. His 24, three points, 11 rebounds, and league leading three, eight blocks per game last season were just the beginning. This season, he’s averaging 26 seven points and two one steals with a 41% three-point clip on seven attempts per game. Here’s the controversial truth. Anthony Edwards is a highlight machine. Trey Young’s a sharpshooter, but they’re not this. We blend of size, skill, and ice cold composure is unprecedented. I’ve seen great athletes. I’ve seen elite shooters, but I haven’t seen a 7 foot5 unicorn who moves like a guard and blocks shots like a fortress. If the Spurs fumble this once in a-lifetime gift, it’ll be a collapse of biblical proportions, a betrayal of basketball’s future. But they’re not. They’re crafting an empire around him. And it starts with their 2025 draft masterclass, Wimbeyama’s the cornerstone. But the Spurs just added a lethal weapon at pick 14. Let’s unpack Carter Bryant, the steel that’s got the NBA on its knees. The Spurs didn’t just draft, they robbed the NBA blind. At the 14th pick, they snagged Carter Bryant, a 6’7 Arizona wing who’s a walking mismatch. This kid shot 37% from three in college. A premium skill in a league obsessed with spacing. You don’t find shooters this polished outside the top 10. Yet, San Antonio walted in and stole him. Bryant’s a plug-and-play star, ready to slot into any offense. In college, Arizona pounded the ball inside. And when doubles crashed, Bryant camped on the right wing, splashing open threes with a buttery release. His 47% catch and shoot efficiency. Was among the nation’s best, but Bryant’s more than a shooter. His basketball IQ is elite. He reads defenses like a veteran. When the corner’s taken, he slides to the dunker spot for easy lobs. His 611 and 3/4 wingspan makes him a defensive terror, chasing guards through screens and swatting shots from behind. And here’s the spicy part. Bryant’s shooting gravity creates a fence. Defenders swarm him, leaving Bigs wide open. One play, he draws three defenders off a handoff, then threads a pinpoint pass for a dunk. Another, he fakes a three, pulls two defenders, and dumps it to the paint for an easy bucket. His college stats. Six. Five points. Four. One rebounds. One assist per game. Don’t tell the story. The film screams potential. Now the skeptics will nitpick. He fouls too much. Averaging three those fouls per guarant. His free throw shooting shaky at 64%. So what? Fouls come with aggression and free throws improve with reps. The real crime is that 13 teams passed on a 3 and D wing whose tailor made for today’s NBA. The Spurs slid him into a lineup with Wemama, De’aran Fox, and Stefan Castle, giving their stars room to cook. Bryant himself laid it down. I bring energy, toughness, physicality, and I’m here to work my ass off. That Spurs culture to a tea. If the league underestimates this kid, they’ll be buried by his impact. Bryant’s a gem, but the Spurs doubled down with a superstar at no r. Let’s dive into Dylan Harper, the backcourt wizard who’s about to set San Antonio ablaze. If Carter Bryant was a theft, Dylan Harper is a declaration of dominance. Taken no two. Overall, this 6’6 Ruter’s guard is the best ball handler in the 2025 draft. No debate. Harper averaged 19 four points, four six rebounds, four assists, and one four steals in college, shooting 33% from three. He’s a downhill predator, attacking the rim with a ferocity that leaves defenders grasping at air. His 68% finishing at the rim, ranked in the top 10 among guards. When he draws doubles, shooters like Bryant or Kell Johnson feast on kickouts. Harper’s playmaking is pure poetry. He spins through traffic, threads a last second pass between defenders, and delivers a dunk on a platter. Or he takes a handoff, fakes a shot, and lobs to a cutter with surgical precision. His vision is all-star caliber. Even if some stat nerds claim his assists are a weakness, that’s garbage. Paired with Webyama’s gravity and Fox’s speed, Harper could easily average six to seven assists as a rookie, his McDonald’s All-American co- MVP award, and 22 Seven assist performance in that game proved he’s built for the big stage. But let’s address the flaws. His defensive rating was mediocre and his free throw shooting hovered at 66%. Here’s the bold take. Those are irrelevant. The Spurs defensive culture anchored by Webanyama’s three eight blocks per game and Castle’s all rookie defense will mask Harper’s growing pains. Free throws mechanics can be fixed. The NBA is sleeping on Harper, and it’s a fatal mistake. He’s not just a scorer. He’s a culture changer. The league’s obsession with one-dimensional guards is crumbling, and Harper’s versatility, scoring, passing, and swagger is the antidote. With him, Bryant, and Wemby, the Spurs are a powder keg ready to blow. Harper and Bryant are the future. But can this Spurs roster become immortal? Let’s wrap this up and declare why San Antonio just won the draft and maybe the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs didn’t just draft players, they forged a legacy. Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant aren’t ordinary rookies. Harper’s a playmaking maestro. Bryant’s a 3 and D sniper and together they’re the perfect weapons for Victor Webbyama, the most transcendent talent since LeBron James. This roster, WBY, De’aran Fox, Stefon Castle, Jeremy Soin, Devin Vassel, Kell Johnson, and now Harper and Bryant is a nightmare for the West. Last season, the Spurs limped to 34 to 48, missing the playoffs for the fifth straight year. That era of mediocrity is dead. Here’s the unfiltered truth. This team is a playoff lock for 202526, and they could shock the world. Weamama’s an allNBA lock averaging 26 7 points and 12 three rebounds. Fox brings 2,9 points and six eight assists. Castle the 2024 rookie of the year. Locks down guards. Harper and Bryant solve the Spurs spacing woes with their combined 35% three-point shooting opening the floor. But here’s the gauntlet. If this young core doesn’t mesh, the dream could implode into a catastrophe. The West is a slaughterhouse. Denver, OKC, and the champs are waiting. Yet, 82% of fans graded this draft. Anapapolis, and I’m all in. The Spurs didn’t just win the draft. They built a dynasty’s foundation. Spurs nation, this is your call to arms. When Byam’s leading the charge, Harper and Bryant are his generals, and the NBA’s on notice. The old guards crumbling and San Antonio’s rising from the ashes. Hit that like button if you believe the Spurs are playoffbound. One like equals one warrior. Smash subscribe to join Hoops Insider for more NBA revelations. 1. First!
Spurs need to dump Vassell and his $27mill contract to come off the bench and play 20mpg. Do that ASAP. You can trade Keldon, too. But that could wait until the trade deadline. In Vassell's case, time is money.

  2. "Last night…"
Why are you posting an old video acting like it is new? I'm losing interest and considering unsubscribing.

  3. Will G-League Mitch screw up Carter Bryant and send him to the G-League? CB should be given the minutes he needs with Harper and the second unit to gain experience against REAL competition in practice and NBA games.

  4. Spurs signing of Luke Kornet is an under the radar pickup. And with a healthy Year 3 Wemby, he will be DPOY and in the MVP conversation as the Spurs become a 4 seed in the WC.

  5. The Spurs have a great future for young players. OKC, have the blueprint of the Spurs. The NBA needs to watch the future of the Spurs.
