Indiana Pacers Trade For Jay Huff My Thoughts!!

Indiana Pacers Trade For Jay Huff My Thoughts!!

Yo, what’s going on guys? This is Houston Sports Talk back another video today and today we’re going to be talking about the Indiana Pacers trading for Jay Huff. Today the Indiana Pacers traded away a second round pick and a second round pick swap to land Jay Huff. And I absolutely love this trade for them. Averaging, you know, almost eight points per game last season, a little bit over seven points per game, two rebounds per game, shooting almost 41% from three, only playing 11 minutes per game. Huff put up great numbers last season and I think possibly he will have the opportunity to play more with Indiana. The a couple reason there are a couple other reasons why I like this addition for them. Sure, he’s a good three-point shooter, good size, solid score. Those are two reasons. Those there’s a couple reasons right there. But a couple more for number number here’s here’s here’s another number number three. This is another reason why I love this trade for the Pacers is the fact that they are trading for a guy who has a lot left on his contract. He’s got three years left on his deal and they’re only giving up a second round pick and a second round pick swap in this deal to land a guy that’s got three years left on his deal. You would have thought that you would have thought that he would be an expiring deal or maybe only two years left on his deal, yet alone not not even three. All right. Now, another reason is is we know what the Pacers have lost this off season. They lost Miles Turner. They lost Thomas Bryant. Most likely going to lose Thomas Bryant. I I don’t I don’t think you add in Jay Huff if you’re planning on bringing back Thomas Bryant. They’ve got Tony Bradley. Um I I I would bet the Pacers are going to try to go out and, you know, try try to go out there and add in another center uh through free agency or or through trade or whatever. I think they’re gonna like they they were after DeAndre Aiden. They wanted DeAndre Aiden. I I don’t think Huff is the guy that is looked at as the starting center in Indiana. At least I would think. But I I I think that he’s the guy that is the Thomas Bryant potential replacement. You know, cuz Huff can knock down threes. That is something Bryant did well. He Bryant shot really well from the corner three for the Pacers in the playoffs and is a solid shooter. I think Huff is that backup replacement for for Thomas Bryant, you know. So, but when you lose Turner, a great three-point shooter, and if they might lose Thomas Bryant, who’s another good shooter, you know, those are guys you you’re you’re losing big men who are are are, you know, solid fives who can shoot. Might you might want to gain a a you know, a center uh who can shoot. And that is Jay Huff for you. over 40% in his career, almost 41% on the season last year. Three point three three attempts per game for a 71 for seven uh over sevenfooter and he still shot 41% from three. So I like this addition for the Pacers. Let me know your thoughts on the trade in the comment section and peace out.
