Did you like the Lonzo Ball trade? #cavs #nba Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Basketball
The biggest onc court issue for Lonzo Ball, like without counting injuries, even before he got injured, was the scoring, was the efficiency. So, I I had to pull up some of the stats here. He has never placed higher in a season. He’s never placed higher than the 54th percentile at the rim. He was in in the 11th percentile last year, which means 89% of the league is better at finishing than Lonzo Ball. So, he’s not a good finisher. He doesn’t have a mid-range game. He’s not much of a three-point shooter, but I do have an important note about the three-point shot. And this is another thing that we already kind of mentioned, but I want to drive this point home. Lonzo Ball as anor replacement. Let’s go. Cool. If you’re counting on Lonzo Ball to replace Ty Jerome, I’m already not sure if I think that’s possible. If you think Lonzo Ball’s Darius Garland replacement, you’re out of your mind. Okay, cuz he just and like I think Lonzo Ball is a better three-point shooter than Aoro, but there’s a huge gap between what Lonzo Ball can give you offensively and what Darius Garland can. And so,

The only problem with this trade is that Ball has been injured throughout his entire NBA career. All he has to do is stay healthy and the Cavaliers will be fine.
He’s gonna surprise you bro mark my words
I think that people believe that Garland is better than he is. Garland has done seriously deficiencies as a shooter. He's a very streaky 3 point shooter. To his credit he's a better shooter at the end of a game than at the start. But make no mistake he can very easily start off a game with a star line of 1 of 6 from three and 7 points at halftime.
I think you’re overrating Darius Garland and Ty Jerome a little too much. Lonzo might not be a more dependable scorer than those two but he does everything else so much better Reb, Defend, Playmake as well. I promise you, he will elevate Donovan and Mobley’s game so much more.
Trading a top defender for an injury prone guy that will turn over the ball and be out half the season.
As long as he doesn't hurt the chemistry of the team, this trade won't matter much.
