DeAndre Ayton signs with the Lakers – They finally get a center!

DeAndre Aton is signing with the Los Angeles Lakers and finally the Lakers get a center that they have been so desperate for after losing out on Brook Lopez to the Clippers and Clint Capella to the Rockets. DeAndre Aiden had a lot of interest around the league including the Indiana Pacers who were looking to fill the void of losing Miles Turner to the Milwaukee Bucks who signed a 4-year 107 million deal with the Bucks who then waved Damen Willard in order to get Miles Turner. Anyway, the Portland Trailblazers bought out DeAndre Aton, paying him $25 million of his $35 million contract for this season in order for him to go to the Lakers, which is lucky for the Lakers. If they did not get Aon, they would have had to go through the trade market. And reports say that teams know the Lakers are desperate for a center. So, teams are bumping up their asking price. But, I do like this signing for the Lakers. As I’ve already said, and we all know this, they were in desperate need for a center. And DeAndre Aton has shown glimpses of being a really good player. He can protect the rim, be a lob threat for Luca and LeBron. I think he just has to mature a bit. I’ve seen reports saying that in Portland when he got benched for his play, he would throw tantrums and we even saw that in Phoenix as well. But some other reports surrounding the Lakers, they are apparently trying to preserve cap space for 2027. That’s when the team expects to have space to sign a max salary free agent and are prioritizing two-year deals in free agency in order to do so. Which also lines up with when you think LeBron would retire, although there are trade rumors floating around with LeBron as well. Whether he requests one or gets traded, we don’t know. But I’ve also seen the Lakers Lakers are targeting to sign Al Hawford from the Celtics. I also hear the Warriors are trying to get him. But one other signing the Lakers have done in this free agency is sign Jake Larabia to a 2-year $12 million deal. They did also lose Dorian Finny Smith to the Rockets. But let me know what you think of this DeAndre Aton to the LA Lakers signing. They finally got their big

  1. 2 year 16m deal for Ayton with player option on second year – he'll make around 34m next season.

  2. Everyone predicted that this guy would sign with the lakers that’s how predictable the lakers are operating,we fumbled hard on mark williams he was great

  3. seeing those clips of deandre's midrange pisses me off, he's not a midrange guy he needs to get to the fucking basket with his body, he's fucking huge! (no diddy)

  4. No rim protection. They did LeBron dirty. No player you sign next will be better than him even though he’s 40

  5. All these comments don’t mean shit! !!! It’s all about action and we will see what happens! Win or lose! You’re still entitled to your opinions but nothing means anything until we see it happen!

  6. All these NBA channels are really Lebron glaze channels. It's pathetic. And imagine thinking Deandre Ayton moves the needle 😂

  7. I don't think he's a scapegoat, or rather he's no good even before he tries. I also don't think he will be loved at all because he doesn't play his heart out for the team.

  8. Does this mean they will find a new excuse for not winning next year? Like we need third point forward or something?

  9. The year following the finals, he ought to have been in the MVP conversation, but after being moved, his status plummeted.

  10. They need to trade LeBrat he has ruined the Lakers, the new owners must get rid of him to a shitty team. and Ayton is not good, they will have a easy schedule and refs will help alot, same ole shhh

  11. Nice, now they will get to the playoff and bench him so they can complain they have no center

  12. Deandre Ayton is one of the best recent examples of a hugely overrated black 7ft that peaked in college. Scouts get all moist with these guys‘ physiques and overlook characteristics that are much more important for development and success.
