I was NOT happy the Cavs lost Ty Jerome π
Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Basketball #Cavs #NBA
Tai Jerome was like all gas, no breaks, full throttle. I’ll just take over games in a way that like no one expected as you mentioned. But the one thing that was always there for Ty Jerome was the microwave scoring. And I pulled up his cleaning the glass page here because I almost think like I I honestly I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading Cavs Twitter right now. I understand that everyone
he was insane. Did we not just watch Ty Jerome last year, guys? I I understand that we’re trying to cope at the loss right now and nobody wants to admit when the team got worse, but like holy crap, dude. Ty Jerome was phenomenal last year. We’re acting like the 49th pick in the draft or Craig Porter or Jaylen Tyson are just going to step up and replicate that. They have never never shown to be as good of an offensive player as Hydrome just became. And yes, it came out of nowhere, but like I’ll just read some of these cleaning the glass numbers for you. Last year, he was in the 95th percentile for effective field goal percentage, right? So that means only 5% of the league was better than him. Yeah, it’s pretty pretty good.
The high number is the good number. He was in the 96 percentile for three-point shooting. He was he was in the 100th percentile from the all mid-range jump shots. He wasn’t very good at the rim. Whatever. It is what it is. But so that’s last season, which seems like the outlier, and it is because the usage was very high. But the year before that when he was healthy in Golden State, he was in the 74th percentile. And two years before that, his his second season in the NBA, it was in the 87th percentile. And so you have a couple down years in between. But the point is, he’s always had some offensive juice to his game. And one thing that I think is almost being lost in the fact that yes, he was an he was truly like, I’m not even exaggerating, elite creating off the dribble for himself. We talked about it all year long. How many games did the Cavs just flat out win when Darius or Donovan was struggling or one of them was even hurt and Ty Drrome just came in and torched the opposing team’s bench?

Regular season means nothing. Last year proved it. When it mattered most, he was absolute trash. Regular season stats dont carry into the playoffs for scrubs.
