NBA Teams that BETRAYED their players- Charlotte/Kemba Walker #sports #basketball #nba #mvptime
NBA teams that betrayed their players. For eight straight seasons, Kemell Walker gave everything he had to the Charlotte Hornets. He became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, an all-star and the face of the team. No matter how bad the roster was, Kemba stayed loyal, never demanded a trade, never complained. He just kept hooping. And when his contract was up in 2019, he made it clear he wanted to stay in Charlotte. He even said he was willing to take less money to make it work. But the Hornets, they didn’t even try. Instead of rewarding the most loyal player in their history, they lowballed him with an offer way below the max and let him walk for nothing. No sign and trade, no asset in return, just gone. And just like that, Charlotte lost their franchise star after 8 years of loyalty, over a few million dollars. What’s worse, they replaced him with Terry Rosier, who hadn’t even started full-time in Boston. After giving everything to Charlotte, Kemba bounced from team to team while the Hornets slipped right back into irrelevance. [Music]
