You were a max contract player who was given a no trade clause, who led the league in scoring, who was a multipletime all-star in the Eastern Conference, which by the way, you would be going back to. Do you want this to be your last Max contract? Do you want this to be your last big contract? If you go on the Chicago Bulls, are they in purgatory? Absolutely. But you’re there for two years close to home in the Eastern Conference. Hell, you might be an all-star again. If you start putting up mid to high 20s, they’ll unlock you. You’re the number one scoring option, and you can set yourself up for a payday. You want to stay in Phoenix, that’s fine. Stay in Phoenix. That’s okay. We won’t buy you out. You’ll sit your ass on the bench. You’ll either be a six-man or you won’t play at all. And then when it’s time for you to go and hit the free agent market, ain’t nobody offering you
