Bucks trade PAT CONNAUGHTON
So, the Buckaroos are trading Pat Coneton, a guy who was a big part of a championship team, and big is probably understating it. Huge is overstating it, but a very important role on the championship team. Came through pretty big in some pretty big games. Had some big shots, got some big loose balls. Mr. Number 43 con man is being traded with two second round picks for Meeich. And by itself, this trade is disgusting. It’s putrid and it makes no sense by itself. We’ll get to what could happen in a little bit, but in a nutshell, the Bucks are saving $1.3 million in my opinion, getting a player that’s worse, and they’re throwing in two second round picks. Um, you know, Coneton obviously wasn’t really playing a role for the Bucks um anymore. Uh, but I would still say he has a little bit more size. He has a little bit of chemistry with Giannis. Some things that could potentially be a little bit beneficial. is still a passable shooter where Meeich can’t shoot a lick. Slow, doesn’t defend, small, great passer. Phenomenal passer, but doesn’t really seem to give you anything else at an NBA level. Um, yeah, every time I’ve watched him, I, you know, I could tell he’s clearly a skilled point guard, but just not an NBA level type of talent in my opinion. And so this has to be something shedding salary for a bigger move. If it’s not, it’s just another example of horse throwing away second round picks, which doesn’t make sense. But you’ve got to think he’s got something on his radar, a big move he’s trying to make and getting under an apron um by doing this right here. And so this is a TBD one. This is a TBD. Obviously, nobody’s cried any tears for training packet, but the difference in contracts is barely anything. I mean, 1.3 million. Both of their contracts expire after this season. Um, like by itself, it’s not much of anything. If anything, like I said, if you had to tell me one of those two players went to a different team and uh ended up getting picked up and became played some minutes on a championship team. I would say it’s unlikely for both, but there’s a world where Conetan could maybe give you 15 minutes still in a contender. You know, if he has a bounce back, his three-point shot goes back to where it was a couple years ago. You know, highly, highly unlikely, but there’s still a little kind of something there. I mean, he scored 43, you know, like there’s some talent in there still. So, like I said, straight up, it doesn’t make sense. It’s just another example of horse throwing away second round picks. But I’m not I’m going to withhold judgment until we see what comes after. Um there’s still some big names out there. You could get really get um really get greedy and start thinking about Herb Jones or Trey Murphy. And if one of those two happens again, when I said before about Damen Lillard being a little iffy, you know, I’m not sure if I like it. I kind of don’t think I do. Well, if they got like something like that, that as well changes to Oh, great move. Thank you, John Horse. beautifully done. Um, so hopefully what comes with this is in a re is a reasonable trade to get off Koozma’s contract, but maybe even more realistic making something happen to go get a real a real contributor, a real difference maker maybe in like an herbal Jones. Um, maybe that’s not super realistic. We’ll have to see. The Bucks do have that that 2031 pick, so there’s a chance. Uh, but this is overall a little disappointing based off what I thought could happen with Pat Coneton just because we saw the Hornets able to move off of Nerkich, get a decent player in return. People were trying to tell me Colin Saxon was really good. Some Bucks fans wanted to trade for him. He’s not that good, but he’s decent. They got him back and they got a second round pick in return from Nerkach, who probably has a worse contract than Conetan does at this point. So, yeah. Again, overall, um I expected that maybe there could be a world where you could even get a pick back for content because his contract’s expiring. But if shaving this 1.3 million in salary makes a big difference, then I’ll say this is W. As of right now, it’s an L, but it’s very much TBD. Could change to a W. Let me know what you all think. I think this is mostly because micic is leaving the nba to Europe and he’ll take a cheap buyout freeing up a roster slot and salary space that I think is needed to finish the Turner signing
Micic was 8 pts, 4 assists in Charlotte. He was Euroleague MVP. He could be a Beno Udrih. I think he's better than Pat, but we could've used those picks in a trade.

Micic is a great player but as european is neglected. I would hope that Giannis would know his talent from euroleague. He is better pointguard than most, decent shouter and not a weak defender. But you know Doc, would never think anything close to that
I like Jackson in the starting lineup bringing Kuzma off the bench. He is such a disrupter on D and his O can be covered by the others. I think Turner and Giannis are going to cause major headaches for defenses.

hey let me ask u a qn on the lillard waivier – ur telling me the bucks spent 50mil/yr on myles turner when bro is worth like 15-20mil/yr… idk why the people are still giving this trade thoughts this is literally the worst F- trade. They got rid of giannis 2nd option who WAS on route to coming back next season end (& the bucks were just missing a couple of defensive players). Also it was clear giannis had MASSIVE respect for lillard so when they did waive him he was gonna be pissed and this clearly is tending the direction where giannis is gonna demand a trade. This made the Myles Turner trade possible. Micic was bought out and will be signed by a euro team saving the Bucks $4 million in cap space. Without this deal no Turner.

We are sending out players that dont play well or dont play at all and getting players that have proven their worth . The rest is financial desicions that we as funs dont care. We care having a superstar and having pieces connecting around Giannis. Those who dont connect are replaced and is as simple as that. The next Giannis will land in Milwake after 30 years. So , we are blessed to have him and see greatness for the last 10 years and for his remaining prime 2 – 3 years who knows. So for the coming 2 – 3 years expect the same desicions and nothing less. Stop acting like you are a manager and know what goes on in the owners pockets or Lilard pockets or being hurt your emotions because Connaton left. The guy did not play for almost 3 years in a row, its been fun but for… reasons.. he doesnt fit well with Giannis. His Brother came once upon a time just for cheering him 😂 but since he didnt connect well he was cut off.
