Gary Harris SIGNS 2-YR Deal With The Milwaukee Bucks!
What up? It’s your boy Wall Street and I’m back. Got more NBA free agency news for you. Gary Harris is signing with the Milwaukee Bucks on a two-year deal which includes a player option in year two. And this is a similar contract structure that they’ve been signing pretty much all of their free agents to. It’s these two-year deals. Uh they did one for Gary Trent Jr. Um they resigned him and he’s going to be having a player option the second season as well. you know, Jericho Sims on that two-year deal. They also signed Kevin Porter Jr. to a two-year deal. So, I think there’s something that they’re planning for in the summer of 2027. Or maybe they’re just trying to have short-term deals so they’re easier to trade. I don’t know. See what happens. But Gary Trent, sorry, not Gary Trent, Gary Harris adds three-point shooting to this roster. Um, you know, he’s shot 42% from three in two separate seasons. shot 42% in the 1617 season and then shot 43% from three in the 22 23 season. So I should say I guess better than 42%. 42% or better in two different seasons throughout his career. He’s a 37% career three-point shooter. Um he’s averaged 10.4 points per game over the course of his career. He’s kind of struggled in Orlando to stay healthy. Um you know when he was in Denver that was really the the the shining part of his career. He had a career year there in 1718 where he averaged 17.5 points per game, played 67 games. So, I have hope that Gary Harris can kind of return to form. You know, he is a little bit older. He’s 30 years old. He’s going to turn 31 in September. So, I don’t know how much he’s going to add to this Bucks team. I don’t think this is a move that really like puts him over the top. I think they’re going to struggle a little bit in my opinion. Um, obviously if they can stay healthy, I think they’ll be a playoff team, but it’s going to be a tough season for them and uh there there’s a good chance that they might decide to just throw in the towel and start moving pieces, you know, midway through the season if if things aren’t panning out. So, who knows? They don’t own their pick, you know? So, there’s not a lot of hope for this team if this if this roster doesn’t pan out. They’re going to have to wait a little while to really turn hope around or they’re going to have to start trading pieces. And the only piece that you’re going to get a ton for is Giannis, right? You could have gotten some for Dame, but you decided to wave him to sign Miles Turner. I don’t think the hall you’ll get for Miles Turner is going to be nearly as good as what you would have gotten for Damen Lillard, but who knows? Maybe I’m wrong about that. But Gary Harris going to the Milwaukee Bucks two-year deal that includes a player option on the second year. And uh we’ll see what happens, man.
