This is a ROBBERY for the Celtics…
This is an absolute robbery for the Boston Celtics as trade reports are really starting to heat up and a brand new report has dropped revealing an absolute heist for the Celtics to break down that exact report, discuss what it means going forward, as well as a few other interesting updates on this episode, folks. But before we get into it all, if you’re a part of the percentage who aren’t subscribed to the channel, this is the place to be for daily Celtics content. Your guys support has been unbelievable. And as things continue to pick up and Brad Stevens continues to engage in trade talks, we’re going to keep you up to date every step of the way. You guys have been beast. So make sure to hit that subscribe button. Folks, a lot to go over today. And of course, we’re going to be touching on a trade because as of late, over the past, you know, few days, past few hours even, trade talks have really started to pick up surrounding and rumors that is as well surrounding one particular player and that is Anthony Simons. Now, if you’ve been watching the channel for a while, of course, the Celtics are trying to get rid of Simons for of course the salary that he holds and all the things like that. And a new article has dropped proposing a wild deal here. A recent Sports Illustrated article expects the Celtics to trade Anthony Simons this off season for a starting center and links him to the Los Angeles Clippers. Thoughts on uh Ivicha Zubac in Boston. So Zubac’s obviously a very very good center and if the Brad Stevens can pull this off, this would be a highway robbery and you can see this here. Celtics predicted to trade $100 million guard in blockbuster move. Now, I will preface this by saying this would be an absolutely fantastic move for Brad Stevens. Now, is it super likely? Let’s dive into it. So, you can see this here. This the trade was done, of course, the Celtics acquiring Anthony Simons for salary purposes. Simons is set to make $27 million next season, the last year of his deal. Several million more than Holiday is expected to make. And Holiday’s deal is also a multi-year. Of course, that’s why they got rid of Simons. Boston can still move Simons by expanding out the trade. And CBS Sports predicts the team will end up doing just that. The move I do believe the Celtics will make is to flip Anthony Simons who was required in the or acquired rather in the deal at Central Holiday to Portland. Simons is due to make $27.7 million. Of course, if you want to get under the luxury tax, they’re going to have to move on from Anthony. Now, you can see this here. There’s a few different teams that are, you know, linked in this. Perhaps Brooklyn will be willing to absorb Simons who’s on an expiring contract and that is plentiful cap space for a sweetener or serve as a third team in a more complicated structure. There’s been other reporting linking Simons to the Clippers. And of course, the Clippers just made a deal, so they could be willing to work on some uh some other deals here. And it makes things very interesting because, of course, if Anthony Simons is traded to the Clippers, you would want someone like Zubac back, especially given the fact that the Celtics at this juncture need a center and they still desperately do. Now, if you’re the Clippers, you’d probably want I mean, you would definitely want more assets than just Anthony Simons back in a deal. However, he is 27 years old. provides some scoring especially now with you know norm is gone all those different things on the Clippers it becomes very interesting but also he has an expiring contract as well next season which could be something that the Clippers are interested in now as we look at Ivaka Zubach this is um it becomes very very intriguing because you look at him last year I mean you’re buying as high as humanly possible on Zubox he’s coming off the best year of his career by far all defensive second team 16 points a game 13 rebounds three assists like he’s an absolute beast and that’s Why I’m not saying this trade is super likely or that the Clippers are necessarily actively shopping Zubach. But the Celtics do have the assets in theory to get it done, though they would have to of course probably give up some more capital and things like that. Now, for Zubach, he played all 80 games. I mean, he’s just a he’s a starting center in this league. He’s a top 10 center in the NBA. He can’t stretch the floor. But for a team like the Celtics who desperately need depth at the center position, or even rather, they need a starting center. Of course, right now, Luca Garza, you know, they acquired him, signed him in free agency, you have some other guys, Neim Kada, but like this is going to be a bit of a gap year, but if you want to grab someone from the, you know, Clippers, it would make a little bit of sense. And of course, we know that Tatum is missing the upcoming season. And there is teams like Brooklyn who be willing to absorb, but also again there’s been reporting linking Simmons to the Clippers. And that’s of course kind of spurred this whole conversation of a trading Anthony Simons, which is something that definitely could make a lot of sense. And then b getting a center that, you know, in a deal for Anthony Simons, if you’re getting rid of him, getting a center back that could play not only this upcoming season, but beyond to pair with Jason Tatum and maybe even Damen Lillard if he comes to Boston like a lot of these rumors are suggesting. And that’s something else to keep in mind here. If they are, of course, you know, for Anthony Simons, like I don’t see a future in Boston with him. I mean, maybe they just play it out and he has a fantastic year next year and then maybe they work out something. I think the most likely outcome here is that they trade him, they get under luxury tax. Now, is it going to be a trade for a guy like Zubach? Of course, the Celtics would have to give up more assets in this even though it would be a steal if they’re able to somehow pull it off, but they’re going to need a center and they also need to, of course, you know, prioritize what’s going to be happening next year. a lot of rumors surrounding Damen Lillard to uh Boston. And of course, if that happens, him and Tatum can kind of rehab together and things like that. But of course, on the other hand, there’s also the, you know, idea that next season they want to remain semicompetitive in that retool year with Derrick White, Simons, Brown, Nang, and Garza. So, a couple different avenues they could go here. They could add assets on top of Anthony Simons and let him walk, or you could also go the route of, you know, getting rid of him in like a dump to a team like Brooklyn. So, it’s going to be very, very interesting because again, Zubach is an extremely good center. He has a ton of value. There’s not a lot of centers available. I mean, you know, Nick Claxton, Walker Kesser, guys like that. I mean, Nick Claxton’s another name to keep an eye on. Might even be more likely depending on, of course, what, you know, Clippers are trying to do, whether, you know, their salary. They just basically dumped, they didn’t dump Norman Pal, but they got rid of him because they didn’t want to pay him his extension. And he was coming off with the best year of his career. So, it’s like Clippers are making some interesting moves. And I think ultimately for the Celtics, if you can somehow pull off Zubac for Simons, it would make I mean all the sense in the world, but it would be an absolute heist and an absolute robbery for this team. So, let me know down below what your thoughts are on this. Do you want to see Zubac? I mean, I’m sure most of you guys would. A very good fit alongside Tatum. Obviously doesn’t really shoot the ball, but does literally everything else well. Solid defensively, not a lead, but solid defensively. One of the best rebounders in basketball and has developed into, you know, a pretty decent offensive threat, but also like I don’t know if I expect this from Zubac going forward. I think he’s more of a 10-point per game double double machine rather than what we saw last year which was a 17 18 points a game. But I digress. We’ll see what happens going forward. But one of the reasons that this is so prominent is because new reports are dropping that I mean Al Horford’s not going to be returning according to all accounts here. So Markstein dropped a report yesterday afternoon and late last night saying that Al Horford is destined to sign with the Golden State Warriors at some point this summer. I continue to hear that Horford is destined to land in the Bay Area. That’s despite the fact the Warriors currently only have $5.7 million of the taxpayer mid-level to offer him. Horford has been linked to several contending teams this summer that the Warriors appear to be at the top of his list. And of course, I made a video on this last week about how it seems that Al Horford is going to be headed to. Of course, the Golden State Warriors or another team or potentially retiring. The Celtics don’t there’s been zero links to the Celtics. Like, I don’t think they’re going to get Al Horford back. It just doesn’t seem like a big possibility. That’s why they signed Luca Garza kind of as insurance if somehow they don’t pull off another move for center, they don’t move on from Simons or even Sam Hower, who was also rumored to be gone in a trade. Again, at this point, they need to get a center because Horford is not going to be returning. And I mean, the Celtics don’t have the money. They’re not going to pay him the money that he wants. And it seems now that they’re waiting for, you know, some dominoes to fall with the Jonathan Kaminga stuff. And of course, he was very good with Boston, even as recent as last season. But just the way that this team is built right now, I don’t know if Al Horford would want to join a retool year for the Celtics in one of his last years of his career. And I don’t know that Brad Stevens, I’m pretty confident that Brad Stevens, everything we heard, wouldn’t want to at this point pay him the money that would be required. We know he wanted Luke Cornet back. We know he wanted to retain a lot of those guys that ended up leaving, which you know, Al Horford, Luke Cornet, a lot of those guys, but at the end of the day, they um they’re ending up probably going to be gone. And a new report from Mark Stein basically just confirms that he’s going to be heading to Golden State Warriors. So, it’s going to be interesting. So, it’s going to be interesting again to uh to see what happens here. Let me know down below what your thoughts are on this. Obviously, this would be I mean for me a steal. You’d have to give up more assets and it’ll be interesting to see what they do with Anthony Simons as trade talks continue to pick up. But that’ll wrap it up. Thank you guys for watching.

In our dreams………..
Why did Coach say JT will not play for him again?
NAH GO WITH NICK CLAXON. This dude not nimble enough. Straight liability on defense. Doesn't make sense… I rather go with what we got than this guy. Go Claxton.
Naaa bro
nah zubac and poeltl to lakers
Clips ain’t giving up Zubs 😂 especially for another guard when Beal gonna be available
I think Amari Williams is going to surprise a lot of you. Point Center
Zubac is not a "BEAST"
He's an above average center
Also what is Anfernee Simons??? Chopped liver? Don't underestimate the kid he can be a killa with the Cs!!
This dude does the Lakers digest wtf 😂

DerrickWhite
JaylenBrown
BaylorScheierman
JaysonTatum
Zubac
Clips will not trade Zubac with Beal available after his buyout.
Why's everything gotta be a robbery??? Do we never make a bad deal??
HELL NO We need a ball handling scorer like Anfernee more than anything with Tatum out unless they are trying to tank. I honestly believe we have plenty of big enough players with: Garza, Amari Williams, Queta, Josh why not, and UGO, And possibly sign a free agent somewhere if we want to get under the second tax bracket trade someone like Houser but perhaps somebody else with a similar salary.
Sure next season is still a big? But I think ANF will put C’s ott to be such a great team to watch honestly if my vision comes true and these younger players who are actually more experience than some other younger ones I think we are a playoff team
A no for me. The season he had 20 mpg was underwhelming
Sign Lofton Jr and develop him into a starter in our gap year, he'd have to lose weight because he's too slow for the fast-paced Celtics
