Summer League analysis on the Golden State warriors keeping it simple vs the Los Angeles Lakers!
What is good YouTube? [Music] Gwen Wayade coming to y’all with that Salt Lake City summer league analysis. We’re going to talk about how the Golden State Warriors did the fundamentals, man. kept it simple, kept it clean, kept it smart, kept it classy and professional. And they did all of that while still being able to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers. Let’s get into that as quick as we can. The Warriors ended up losing the first quarter 19-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers, but they beat them in the second quarter 28 to 24. And in the third quarter, 30-7. And in the fourth quarter, the Lakers did win it 24-20. But based off that third quarter, they got too big of a lead. And that second quarter, four-point gain help, too. And yeah, the Lakers made their little run. And yeah, they ended up leading in the first quarter and ending it with the lead. But the Warriors was able to get it done and win their first game. and the California Classic. I shouldn’t say Salt Lake City, I should just say the California Classic game. And it ended up being a good one. Um, one thing I will say is the Warriors really did take their time executing and trying to find the right guys and not really trying to force to do too much in my personal opinion. and that really slowed down the game and helped them get high quality shots which ultimately the Lakers just couldn’t generate enough of them um to be able to win unfortunately but it made a lot of sense and it always has and they won this game 89 to 84. Trey Jimson the third for the Los Angeles Lakers played 20 minutes. He finished with zero points, but he did get three assists and three rebounds and one of them being offensive with two blocks in the turnover. He also ended the game with three personal fouls. He was a minus seven in plus minus. You say, well, if he played 20 minutes, he should have been able to score. That’s true and I would I would agree with that especially because he can, but he was able to do all the other things on the court tonight besides that, which is something you would still say he could have did better. He finished as a minus seven. So he could have did a lot more to impact winning when he was out there. He just didn’t get it done tonight. Cole’s Twitter was all over the place. He had the ball and he was able to make a lot of things happen and a lot of things pop and he ended up leading all scorers tonight with 24. He went with 29 minutes. He was seven to 10 from the field. Really efficient. He was six of eight from three even on some tough ones. He was four or four from the free throw line. He did get eight boards too. One of them was offensive and he did get a steal and only had one turnover. Although he had a lot of chances to make dumb decisions or bad decisions, he just didn’t do that tonight. He was a plus4 and plus minus. I liked how he played. I liked his confidence and he really really helped him stay in the game and even gave them a chance to win it. It just they couldn’t cash it
