The Clippers Trade With the Heat Changes Everything
where the Clippers Jazz and Heat have agreed to a big- time three-team trade. See, Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and a 2027 second round pick head to Utah. And pal will be heading to Miami. John Collins sent to LA. It’s another day in the NBA offseason, and I need to sit you down for this one because the trade that just went down is absolutely insane. And stick around because by the end of this video, I’m going to reveal why this seemingly crazy move by the Clippers might actually be the smartest chess move we’ve seen all off season. And it has everything to do with a certain superstar who’s about to become available. Now, before we get to the content, make sure you drop a like, subscribe, and turn on our notifications. [Music] [Music] Check11212. What’s going on everybody? So, if you guys didn’t hear, the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, and Utah Jazz just pulled off a deal that sent shock waves throughout the NBA community. And it’s a trade that’s leaving the fans of one of these teams very upset. So, according to Shams breaking, the Clippers, Jazz, and Heat have agreed to a trade that sends Norman Pal to Miami, John Collins to Los Angeles, and Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson, and a 2027 Clippers second round pick to the Jazz. First, let’s talk about the clear winner here. Because I know we’ve been destroying the Miami Heat and Pat Riley for the past couple of years, but right now, Pat Riley just pulled off Highway Robbery. They’re getting Norman Pal, a proven 20 plus point scorer and an NBA champion for basically nothing. I mean, listen to this. They sent out Kevin Love, who was averaging 5.3 points in 11 minutes per game, and Kyle Anderson, who was putting up 6.7 points per game off of the bench, and they got Norman Pal in return. That’s like trading your broken down Nissan Ultima and a rusty old bike for a brand new Mercedes. And Pal isn’t just any scorer. He’s coming off of the best season of his career, averaging 21.8 points per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 41.8% from three. Those aren’t just good numbers. Those are all-star caliber numbers. Plus, Pal has serious playoff experience with 91 postseason games under his belt, including winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019. There’s no question in my mind that Norman Pal is going to fit in seamlessly with the Miami Heat culture. When you add a 20 point scorer for two guys who barely saw the court, that’s what we call a robbery. But hold on, because the story gets even crazier when we look at what the Clippers are really up to. And this is where things get really interesting. The Clippers didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to trade their best scorer for no reason. There’s a method to this madness. And when I tell you what they’re really planning, you’re going to understand why this might be the smartest move of the entire off seasonason. Because the Clippers are not losers here. So, I’m sure you guys have heard this report. According to Michael Scoto and Bobby Marks, the Clippers are prioritizing significant cap space in 2027. And that’s the main reason they made this trade because Mike Scotto even said sources the Clippers were reluctant to give Norman Pal a long-term extension as he enters the final year of his deal. With Kawhi Leonard and James Harden signed through the 2026 to 27 season, the Clippers are prioritizing significant cap space in 2027. By trading him now, the Clippers avoid a massive financial commitment while maintaining their flexibility for their future. Plus, they addressed a huge need in acquiring John Collins, an athletic 6’9 forward who can stretch the floor and serve as a lob threat for James Harden. Collins gives them something they’ve desperately needed, front court athleticism and versatility. But here’s the real reason why this trade is so genius, and I need you to pay attention because this is where things get wild. This trade positions the Los Angeles Clippers perfectly for something that nobody’s talking about yet. According to ESPN, if Bradley Beiel was to be bought out of his contract, the Clippers could potentially be a player for his services. So far, what we know is the Clippers are targeting both Chris Paul, and Bradley Beal after trading Norman Pal, which means if the Clippers can get Bradley Beal, they’ll have a starting lineup of James Harden, Bradley Beal, Kawhi Leonard, John Collins, and Avita Zubac. Now, for those of you guys wondering if Bradley Beal is going to be bought out of his contract, it’s a foregone conclusion that this is going to happen. According to Mark Stein, a Bradley Beal buyout is imminent with the star guard needing to give back approximately $13.9 million of his remaining $110.8 million contract. This is a no-brainer for the Phoenix Suns to wave and stretch Bradley Beal because it would put them below the second cap apron. And Bradley Beal’s contract is untradable. He has a no trade clause. He’s one of the highest paid players in the entire NBA and he was coming off of the bench for the Phoenix Suns. His value is at an all-time low. So, Phoenix has no choice but to cut their losses here. And for Clipper fans that aren’t that excited about John Collins, you need to understand that John Collins has been one of the most underutilized players in the NBA over the past two seasons. And the Clippers basically traded a player that they had no way of extending and got Collins back basically for free. In Utah, he was limited to just 40 games as the Jazz embraced tanking. But here’s what’s really crazy. When John Collins played, he was phenomenal. Check these numbers out. 19 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game, while shooting a career best 39.9% from three. But here’s the stat that’s going to blow your mind. Advanced metrics show that the Jazz were 12.3 points better per 100 possessions when Collins was on the court. When you’re a tanking team, you do not want that at all whatsoever. For the Clippers, Collins represents exactly what they’ve been missing. And at 27 years old, John Collins is entering his prime and provides the perfect compliment to the Clippers aging stars. He can space the floor, catch lobs from Harden, and allow Kawhi Leonard to slide back to his natural small forward position. The best part of this is Collins is on an expiring $26.6 million deal, meaning the Clippers can either extend him if he fits that well or just let him walk so they can maintain their 2027 cap flexibility. It’s a low-risk, high-reward move that addresses their immediate needs while preserving future options. But the one team that is the biggest loser in this deal has to be the Utah Jazz. Because the Jazz’s return in this trade has been so confusing. They turned John Collins, a 19-point scorer, into two aging veterans and a second round pick. They pretty much just gave him away for free. Now, you could say that there’s some method to this madness because the Jazz created a massive $26.6 $6 million trade exception, which is the largest in the NBA. This gives them incredible flexibility for their future moves. They can now absorb up to $26.6 million in salary without sending anything back, which will make them a popular third team facilitator in future trades. Kevin Love is probably going to get bought out and Kyle Anderson’s contract is another tradable asset. But when you just take a look at their moves lately, they’ve traded Colin Ston, bought out Jordan Clarkson, and moved Collins as part of a complete tearown. Primarily because their president, Austin A, said that they didn’t want to sit healthy players again. They’d rather move veterans than artificially limit their minutes for tanking purposes. But Utah pretty much turned Colin Ston and John Collins into two second round picks. And it seems like they just could have gotten more for some of their high-end role players. This trade mirrors some trades that we’ve seen in NBA history as well. Now, we have to keep an eye on the Los Angeles Clippers pursuit for Bradley Beal. And to be honest, it’s very likely to happen. The Clippers now have $5.3 million of their non-t taxpayer mid-level exception available. Though Bradley Beal’s market value is around 14.1 million and Beal would have to take a significant discount to join the Clippers, the chance to join a contender like Los Angeles could be very appealing for Beiel considering the fact that he is about to get paid supermax money after his buyout from Phoenix. Anyway, currently the Clippers projected salary cap is at $189 million, which puts them 1.2 million over the tax threshold, but still 6.9 million under the First Apron. Most importantly, they have a full $5.3 million non-t taxpayer mid-level exception available, which is the exact tool they need to sign Beal. And when you take a look at the Los Angeles Clippers team of James Harden, Chris Dunn, Bogdon, Bdonovich, Derek Jones Jr., Kawhi Leonard, and Avita Zubac, if they add Chris Paul, and Bradley Beiel, this team could certainly compete in the loaded Western Conference. So far, the Clippers championship odds improved slightly to plus 3,000, showing that Vegas believes that Collins helps their title chances despite losing Pal. Meanwhile, the Heat’s addition of Pal addresses their biggest weakness. They ranked 21st in offensive rating last season and adding a 20 plus point scorer who shoots 41.8% from three immediately improves their playoff positioning in the weakened Eastern Conference. They’re still behind Cleveland and New York, but they certainly can compete with them. But I give the Los Angeles Clippers and the Miami Heat both A’s for this trade. I give the Utah Jazz a D+. I really think Utah could do wonders for their rebuild. If they got a better return for some of their best players, but maybe down the line we see how this strategy pays off for them. Let me know in the comments section down below what do you guys think about this trade. Aside from that, I’m your boy Mike. I’m dropping our mic. Until our next upload.

who gonna carry clippers when Harden have a off-night.
Watching from South Africa….
"Superstar"¿ 😂
Beal is no better than a paper weight.
Poor Kevin love
Bradley beal?! LOL
Heat fan here Love the Clippers the gift that keeps giving
Norm isnt a proven 20 plus point scorer. He so far at the age of 32 has only 1 season now of 20 plus points every other season was around 15 points and some under. Collins is definitely the better player his stats have been very consistent for years. Now with Norm his defense is atrocious and if you surround him with other stars he doesnt score nearly as much. As soon as Kawhi came back he forgot how to shoot and was a conr on defense.
powell not a new mercedes, more like a new hyundai. Good car but it aint stylin on nobody
The Clippers are only good in papers
Still waiting on the jersey delivery 😅
As a Jazz fan I'm sad that they let go of JC, Collins and Sexton they are all good players.
Westbrook is better than beal, come on
love been 40 for nearly 10 years at this point and hes only 36
Beal and Paul will sink the Clippers. That ain't smart
Was the Paul George trade not a good enough lesson ? 😭
Thanks to this trade, now I know Kevin love is still in the league.
Since they now have at least 26.6 M worth of space, I really hope Utah try to acquire Josh Giddey after this trade.
remember when the clippers got John Wall? so now Beal? good. clippers gonna clip.
Damn…..didnt know Kevin Love still played
Wait…..Kevin Love is still in the NBA?
Mike check sucks
Lmao. Clippers slowly turning to 2K Hardwood Classics team 😂😂😂 add LeBron it would be the dream team… 10 years ago 😅
Didn’t like they got rid of Powell but Collins is nice too and a lob threat and probably get Beal for 5M which ain’t bad and all he had to do is spot up and shoot
I don’t really understand this move by the Clippers to be honest, like what’s the point?
Miami now has a player to trade at the deadline for some picks and or young cheap talent
Trade for DeMar DeRozon over Beal
Beal isn't getting max money after he leaves the Suns. Beal has to prove he is still good enough to start before they talk contracts and big money
the heat basically replace JImmy Butler for nothing and saved 50million per year.
Crazy how nobody talks about how the Kawhi Clippers team is the Biggest BUST Super Team of All time…
