GG Jackson postgame interview, after the Grizzlies defeated OKC in the first 2025 Summer League game

Let’s go court side. Gigi Jackson and Lauren Green. Yeah, thanks bowler. Uh Gigi, uh 20 points tonight to kick off Salt Lake Summer League. What was working for you on the court? Uh just really staying connected with uh my teammates. We got uh three rules. I don’t really remember. Oh, no. The first one is be the fastest team. Second one uh be the hardest playing team and the third one being the most connected team. And I feel like uh you know the guys we did a good job of doing that. You know, I got in the paint sometimes. Didn’t really dish it out, but my teammates was uh was there to lift me up. So, it was good. All right. All right. And I’m sure the game has slowed down for you a little bit at this point in your career. How are you able to see the court differently and how does that help you during summer league? Uh well, with our new acquired uh coaching staff, it’s a lot more explaining uh you know, which I’m I’m all ears for. You know, I’m kind of like a sponge, but like I just said with my teammates holding us up and we got a lot of different weapons on the team, so it takes a lot of pressure off me. Another one of those weapons. Jaylen Wells also had 20 points with you. What was it like playing with Jaylen tonight? Uh, I told him like two months ago that he doesn’t even know how he inspires me. Uh, how he’s laidback, chill, uh, just got that grown man aura, you know, carries himself the right way, and I just been trying to feed off his energy. GG, thank you so much. Congrats, guys. Back to you. All right. Thank you, Lauren. GG Jackson, thanks for the time. Jackson 8 to
