Does Ace Bailey love UTAH!?!
Does Ace Bailey actually love Utah? Looks like it might be possible. Let’s talk about his hoopser show. [Music] All right, guys. Before we get into this, make sure you like the video, subscribe to the channel. All right. So, Ace Bailey is in Utah. We all heard the drama. That drama has quieted down and quieted down a lot. I’m sure Jonathan Gabon is a little disappointed. He doesn’t have an article to write or anything to say to get a few more clicks. He’s just sort of disappeared into his Gollum shadow. But Ace Bailey certainly appears to be loving Utah. If you haven’t read it already, go to the Desireette News site. Go read the Utah Jazz article by Sarah Todd. It’s phenomenal. You get a good recap. I also wrote about it on SLC Dunk. You can go there. But Utah is treating this Ace Bailey situation perfectly. We have to talk about it a little bit. This has some crazy ramifications that I think are really important for the future. Now, we all know the stories. Like I said, the Ace Bailey wants to go to the Wizards, doesn’t want to go to Utah, doesn’t want to go to Charlotte, doesn’t want to go to Philly. Some of those may have been geographical. You know, Utah has the stigmas whether they’re fair or not. They’re not fair, but they’re there. And you know, he didn’t want to go to Charlotte because there were lots of rumors going on that players did not want to play with LaMelo Ball because the ball’s in his hands. And if you watch LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets, you can see why. Go watch a Charlotte Hornets game. You’ll wonder how many times anyone else gets to actually touch the ball. I mean, there’s times where I was rooting for LaMelo Ball because of tanking purposes, but it is rough at times. And so, he didn’t want to go there. In Philadelphia, it was because he was going to probably come off the bench with so many players on the floor that are, you know, Tyrese Maxi, uh, Jared McCain, Paul George, and obviously Joel Embiid. There were not going to be a lot of minutes and touches going to Ace Bailey. So, you can see why he kind of maneuvered his way out of there. Geographically, that was the issue with Utah. I don’t I just don’t know if it was like top of his list. And like I’ve said in other videos, I mean, if you were going to the NBA and they said you’re going to Minnesota or Oklahoma City or somewhere like that, if you were just kind of picking where you wanted to be, let’s say you’re you didn’t like the Lakers growing up and you were going to get drafted by the Lakers, would you have loved it? Probably not. But if you get drafted by them, then you’re going to make the best of it. Well, Utah did more than just make the best of it. They have treated this situation perfectly. We all know that Ryan Smith and his one of his big things is to really showcase Utah and he’s doing a great job. We got to give him credit. He is doing a great job and he really along with you know the Angels Xanic really bet on this Utah Jazz organization what they could do if they brought a star into Utah and then also just Utah itself. They banked on their ability to win him over with how they treated him and with Utah itself being something that he could really enjoy. And honestly, when players come here, they enjoy it a lot more than they realize. If you saw the Derek Favors tweet where he talked about how he can understand someone come where he was from, you know, Atlanta and came to Utah, he can understand why players think, “Ah, I’m not going to love it there.” But when you get here, you can find gold is what Derek Favors said. And there is a lot of players that have come here and loved it. Mike Connley, when he left, was really not happy. his wife, if you didn’t follow her at all, they made their first trip back to Utah and she was just crying about how much she missed Utah. There’s so many players that come here and they enjoy it. Especially players that want to find kind of a nice, enjoyable place to raise a family that’s, you know, just feels good. There’s great, it’s just a great place to live. There’s so many things to do for families here. You’ve got the mountains and the canyons 10 minutes away. There’s all sorts of things to do for players here. Now, it’s not for everyone. If you’re a young player looking to go out to the club or whatever, I am not familiar with how you even say that word, but it’s not for everyone obviously. And there have obviously been players that wanted to go elsewhere for, you know, reasons. I don’t know, you know, but there have been players that loved it. I know that Darren Williams, superstar, regretted leaving. Gordon Hayward regretted leaving. Darren Williams still comes back and lives in Utah for parts of the year. He has a house in like Holiday, I believe, and enjoys being here. It’s a great place to be and players end up enjoying it. So, Utah knew that, brought him over and it’s great. And the reason I got to give a lot of credit to Austin A and the Angels in general is because they have changed this mindset and viewpoint that so many Jazz fans have that is just ridiculous and stupid and I’ve I hope we’ve put it to bed. I hope it’s dead to be honest. And it is this idea that oh no players don’t want to be here. They just leave after seven years. Oh, I’m going to go cry in my room. Go cry in your room. Go to your room. That’s what I say to you Jazz fans with that viewpoint. Go away. You have all been proven wrong. All of you. You little whiners. You little weasels. You wieners. You bums. Stop that. Grow some. Grow up. Start having some confidence in your life and in Utah like the Utah Jazz because Danny A and Austin A and whoever did not have that viewpoint. They believe in Utah. They believe in themselves. It’s called winning mindset. It’s called belief. All this fear mindset can go away. Literal Jazz fans that were like we’ll never win a title. No. No, the Jazz can and will. And it is by doing stuff like this. First, it is putting yourself in a spot to get the player you need. Second, it is having the selfrespect and the confidence and belief that you can build and that you can bring these players here, win them over, and grow something, right? They have that belief. They did not believe that. They did not act like that. That is pathetic. Stop it. Learn something from this. Ace Bailey has come over and it’s gone perfectly. From the moment that Ace Bailey has come off the plane, the Utah Jazz organization has embraced him and made him feel welcome. But not just him, him and his management team. Yes, Omar Cooper has been embraced and it was the right thing to do. We saw that Ace Bailey goes to his first practice and then guess what? We see him going through these first practices and Omar Cooper Jr. Omar Cooper’s son is enjoying is being brought on as a guest coach. Now, you can argue that maybe there’s certain situations where it’s not good when a certain player has too much sway or say in what teams do looking at you, Donovan Mitchell. But guess what? It’s usually a good bet. If you have a player that has that kind of sway, it usually means they’re pretty good, right? So, Utah is setting this situation up really well. They obviously talked to Ace Bailey, talked to his camp, talked to everyone and said, “Hey, just come here and we’ll make it right.” And they’re doing it right. This is creating great great just karma, great situation, a great relationship with Ace Bailey and his his camp. I mean, it’s not like that’s anything new. You look at the New York Knicks Knicks and Jaylen Brunson, his dad is one of the assistant coaches. It’s not like that crazy. It’s not something out there. And they went to the Eastern Conference Finals. So, Utah is doing this right. They’re bringing on Omar Cooper Jr. And what makes that situation pretty cool is Omar Cooper Jr. is trying to work his way into becoming a coach, like working through his grad program or whatever. If you read Sarah Todd’s article, you can read about that. Pretty awesome. Pretty great. And Utah is now creating goodwill with Ace Bailey. He’s obviously happy and enjoying this new situation. Guess what? If Ace Bailey turns out to be great, maybe he wins rookie of the year. Who knows? But if he turns out great, he knows that this team has set him up to succeed, has treated him right, has treated his family right. And then guess what? One of the things they also believe is that he can fall in love with Utah and enjoy being here. There is not a lot of difference between Utah and like any of those other places that I’ve talked about, Oklahoma City, Minnesota, whatever. Do you think Cleveland’s any better than Utah? No. I thought it was so funny, by the way, when uh the the WNBA player was talking about situ situations she wants to be in and not be in. And she mentioned Cleveland being not a place WNBA players want to go. And you know, Jack, like no one jumped into that conversation quicker than Donovan Mitchell because Donovan Mitchell can’t handle not being perceived in the best light by by fans. Sorry, Donovan. Enjoy the humidity. Enjoy the Great Lakes. Enjoy the jorts. Enjoy the the stretch collared Ohio State T-shirts. That’s Cleveland. Enjoy it. There ain’t anything else. Ain’t nobody going to Cleveland. Remember what Joe Kim Noah said, Donovan. H. It’s just really good. You know, the grass is greener in Utah. I’ll be honest, it’s better than people think. No one talks about Donovan Mitchell anymore. He got a Donovan Mitchell got a shoe deal in Utah, right? Donovan Mitchell got more pub in Utah than he has in Cleveland. Now he’s just one of a bunch of guys in Cleveland. And you know, he got into all NBA, I guess, but that was partly because he’s in the Eastern Conference. If you come and make it in Utah and do well, Ace Bailey is going to get all the pub he could want. It’s not being on the Lakers, but nothing is. It’s It’s just as good as anywhere else. I mean, maybe he’d get more pub in New York, probably. Maybe. But guess what? He’s going to get a lot of pub here, especially if he wins. And Utah has set him up to succeed, and he might just love being here. All the signs are pointing to the fact that he does. So guys, shout out to the Allstars, shout out to the members. We all have heard the Ace Bailey rumors and what happened during the NBA Draft and being drafted by the Utah Jazz. It’s looking like after being drafted by the Utah Jazz, things have gone very well and it’s going to do wonders for the Utah Jazz if they do this right. The good news is it’s looking like they are.

Utah fans need to stop with nasty comments that they make towards some players. Not every fan, some of you, you know who you are, no need for hate, not allowed, if you ever want a great team.
Big support from France ! Nice vidéo ! I like hear you cause you dont have a prononciate accent so it’s radier for me to understand lol ! 💜🎷
jazz fans have such a small mentality it's frustrating and they'll still be like that when we get better and better but let's just hope they click
Does the blue light bug anybody or is it just me? Please move it so it's not shining on your glasses. Love the channel and keep up the good work but just can't stop focusing on the light
You need to stop yelling. Also, you have CLEARLY never lived outside of your city. Unsub.
Grew up in utah, it can be a stifling place in some ways. The racism and ignorance of some ppl and overbearing policies of the church can be annoying, but it is a cool and fun place to live with lots of good ppl at the same time
All big Ballers Love Utah.
Delicate Arch is a giant hoop!
Ace loves b'ball and Jazz is the team that got him.
Donny Mitchell fake loved it no colored kid likes Utah he will be gone in 2yrs if he is any good
If you dont want to be in Utah just remember, you could always be in Cleveland 😂
James,I love your rants,I’ve been a fan since I saw your rant on Gordon Hayward leaving us high and dry, funny stuff keep it up
It's funny how everyone is expected to walk on eggshells around certain individuals, but whenever someone calls them out on their BS, they get their feelbads hurt. They want to take their ball and go home. That's a losing mindset every single time. Take your ball an go then, sheesh.
Hansen James talking about other jazz fans whining is the epitome of ironic. He just might be the most emotional fan that has an influential Jazz podcast. Also, I just heard the Donny segment. Bruh, Donny is living rent-free in your head like the ex that got away.
I actually clicked on "Press Start"…
Dwill lives in Farmington lol
Yup all the pity Jazz fans are annoying af lol shout out to the real ones. Excited for this season and I’m calling it now. ALL 3 of our rookies are going to ball out. Go Jazz!!
He should be happy, he is in a basketball hothead and has a loyal fan base and fewer distractions. Godspeed to him.
It should have been Cooper Flagg. Boring, Worker, White…. The perfect Jazz player.
Ace is a YN. He doesn't want to, be here
You can get your glasses treated to not reflect your lighting setup. We have to do it any time an Actor wears sunglasses or any type of glasses because of Crew reflections
Donovan had an attitude in SLC. It was as if he considered himself an expert on everything. Shaq tried to school him a couple of times, and it went right over Donovan's head.
I don’t think the biggest issue NBA media or Twitter has with Utah is about market size — it’s about the racism.
Even Donovan Mitchell, arguably the best player the Jazz have had in years, described it as “draining.”
When you have senators making certain comments toward players, it reflects poorly on the state. It’s not a good look, and it needs to be acknowledged.
If Utah really wants to change that narrative, it starts with building a culture within the team that champions acceptance and encouragement. Look at what Westbrook did in OKC — he was building businesses, hosting events, and spotlighting the city. We should be creating that same energy here, encouraging players and people to showcase the real beauty Utah has to offer.
Cleveland is a shit hole, and this is coming from someone who currently lives in Toledo
Thabo’s wife didn’t want to stay in Utah
Amen go Jazz
Ace believes on draft night teams were going trade to get him. Ace drama would continued if a East Coast team draft him. He can't just drive home from Utah
Screw utah that's where you go if you wanna feel church and passive racism
SLC loved Donovan. The city even had a dedicated skybridge over at the gateway with a painting of DM with his jersey number. Once he left, the painting got painted over. LOL. Dedicate that bridge to Ace now.
New to this channel. Does he always scream at his viewers?
Random Comment: Hot Dog eating has no place on any sports app! This is what we have come down to because of weak sports coverage in the summer!
Utah is not a racist place it’s a bunch of blacks that come here “westbrick” and cry racism cause they know it will have an affect when those types like Westbrook should be called out for lying!
I love the Jazz but man I hate all the negative fans it makes me sick
Your take on Lamelo got my immediate respect.
Why all the yelling at your viewers?
Any chance you make a secondary video where you don't start yelling? You have good insights, but that is embarrassing.
Loved this video
Lets go ♠️
Why is this video geoblocked in Taiwan?
Bro, you lose all credibility when you say stuff like what you said at 10:55. We can talk up our state without talking down on others. Not to mention you’re flat out wrong. Donovan is being covered as much or more than ever.
One of the reasons that people think Utah is weird because of clubs is exactly how it was described right here: laughing about not even know how to pronounce that word… first time I’ve listened to this podcast absolutely the last time I will listen to this podcast. This is why people can’t stand Utah Utah is a great place to live. Stop trying to make people feel like they don’t belong if they want to go to a club or they happen to want to drink you can “shout from the rooftops” all the great things about Utah without making somebody feel like they’re not gonna belong if they want to go to a club or they want to go grab a drink. The place is awesome. the people’s belief that they’re actually tolerant of people who believe differently than they do is an absolute joke. Just talk about the positive and ignore the other side. Don’t make jokes about it ignore it. It’s better than making jokes.
I was never really worried about it brother, and obviously neither did the Jazz, Ryan Smith, and Danny Ainge.
He'd admittedly never been to Utah.
Until you actually come here, all anybody knows about is so-called "Mormon cults" or whatever.
I've heard lately it was mostly his advisor (that doesn't even have an agent's license mind you) that was telling the media all of this crap.
Utah kicks ass! There's so many former Jazz players that still have houses here, because it's chill.
Hayward, D-Will, and the D-Favs quote is massive.
The lost goes on.
Even Karl Malone got emotional talking about how amazing Utahn's were in basically adopting him at a time where things were different.
