Kevin Durant speaks on why it didn’t work with the Brooklyn Nets

Kevin Durant during the part two of his mind the game episode spoke about what went wrong in Brooklyn during his time with James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Steve Nash as the head coach, and even when Ben Simmons came along. When you think back to our time in Brooklyn, what do you think of him stepping on that damn three-point line? We had this convers they going they going to repost that and tag me in that. But we had this conversation in Portland, I think, um, right before a game, and I’m like, who am I spending my next five years with? I had just signed that deal. You had just signed a deal. But I feel like we were secure, but everything else around us was going to Not in a bad way. We got We got GMs going to other teams. We got coaches going to other teams. We got players forcing trades. We at bring in Ben Simmons, he’s back. Like it was just so much stuff going on, around us. I feel like we were locked in on the same page and understand like we trying to do something special here. But and I felt like your hands were tied a lot because you had to as a coach, you got to deal with so much. You didn’t get to coach as much as I wanted to. That’s what it was. I didn’t think we didn’t get the full Steve Nash like I wanted like you probably wanted. I just felt like it was just too much too many distractions in a way and you know you can’t win that way and but I felt like we had great intentions though. I felt like we we cared enough. I felt like every day we were trying to push towards winning the champ. It was it was a great vibe in there. It some of the best times that first year. That’s why I signed that deal that first year, man. Most fun ball I had. Some of the most fun ball I had playing my whole life. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Brooklyn a lot. I love playing for Brooklyn. But it’s just so much stuff happened around the around the guys that were committed to the situation. It felt like we were committed but only but everybody else wasn’t. And just swear.

  1. An overlooked reason is because the ownership ruined the team chemistry by trying to blackball Kyrie into getting the vaccine. Obviously there’s other reasons but this is one that rarely gets talked about

  2. Does the narrator of this channel always need to put his silly fucking British accent on and read the title. Like fk we can read ur input provides nothing to the content of this channel thanks 🙏

  3. Steve Nash didn’t have a strong voice in the locker room. They didn’t listen to him, he didn’t take charge as a coach.

  4. The Ganja was flowing at an ALL TIME HIGH ( Pun Intended ). Plus Kyries corny ass and James Hardens Egomaniac ass didnt help on the defensive end. You had Kyrie with the look st me dribbling….James with the im just going to dance then shoot it. Then theres KD …emotional….then needs a blunt for himself after the game but before 2k and madden.

  5. Organization & injuries messed it up I’m not blaming a man for not taking a jab and the post was overblown. Didn’t even say anything just posted what he was watching. Don’t act like yall haven’t posted random stuff on social media we all have.

  6. I think once the Nets got Simmons, I think there was a few weeks that team was really good. Don't care they didn't win the chip, that team was scary. They was lean and fast
