Noa Essengue Will Be a Transition Monster | What His Role Should Be #bullsnation #basketballshorts
He’s going to be a transition monster. Asen has great measurables at his age at 69 at 18 who’s still growing. Could grow into that Giannis kind of mold of player. I feel like him and Madus have a lot of similarities. Ability to cut to the basket, make a good cut at the right time. Si is coming in with a lot of potential, but it’s very raw. And this is a player that you’re going to want to mold into the kind of guy that you need for that role. And I think that’s what’s separating him from the place that Patrick Williams came into the league from. Bulls drafted Pat fourth overall. The team was bad at the time. Pat was coming in with expectations to be the guy to go from being a bench player to a starter to a star. And that was a lot to ask of a guy. As coming in with different expectations, 12th overall pick, right, instead of fourth. But the role that he’s going to be asked to play is also much different. The Bulls aren’t going to ask him to to come in and try to be the primary defender, the defensive anchor, which is kind of what Pat was asked to do was to come in and be that defensive anchor right away. That’s not what Asen is going to be expected to do in his rookie season. Going to let him get comfortable at the pro level coming off of the bench. Play in transition. We know that the Bulls played their fastest basketball ever last season and were one of the fastest teams in the league. So a seni fits that perfectly.

For me he can be the Center of the future. He Will put more mass on his body and become a modern center.
Imagine if Matas and Noa become the forward versions of Jayson and Jalen. I hate what happened with Pat so hopefully he bounces back. He also had his role switched mid-rookie year with the Vooch signing and was never prioritized in the offense (so we could sink or swim with him sooner). If they do right by Noa and Matas, we could have a monstrous duo in 2-3 years.
