Atlanta Hawks THE TEAM TO BEAT IN EAST? NBA Offseason review #viral #video #foryou #nba #youtube

Good evening and welcome back to another offseason review. Tonight we’re covering the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta had a rough year last year with Jaylen Johnson having a torn labroom. Trey Young had Achilles tendonitis. They ended up ninth in the East and they lost in the playin not making the playoffs. Off season they’ve been on a mission to change things and they started their work immediately trading George Niang for Kristoffs Porzingis. Wow, just a fantastic move to start the off season. To get a stretch big that can also play defense and they did it at such a low price of just George Nyang and a second round pick, you got to give them a lot of credit. They went out and they made a dynamic move for their roster. Added bonuses, he’s a champion now and he actually plays very well in the playoffs. Overall, just a great move for Atlanta. And now we have their free agency ads. And the first person they signed was Nquille Alexander Walker. He’s been known as a very great offensive scorer, especially off the bench. And he actually had a surprisingly good defensive rating last year. The metrics say that he’s a great defender. Overall, we’re not too too sure how he can handle the most elite players based on what we saw in the playoffs and SGA and Jaylen Williams, but Atlanta also has Tyson Daniels, so they don’t really need to worry about him being the primary defender. He can go out and just play great offense. If he can somehow manage 15 to 20 points a night, Atlanta will be a really difficult team to beat. Up next is Luke Canard. they got him from the Memphis Grizzlies. He’s a great shooter and he also can play point guard from time to time. Another significant thing about these acquisitions is that it was said that Trey Young personally went and called these guys and asked them to join along. Not only for the star player to ask these guys to join the team, but for the organization to go and get them. It just shows a lot to what Atlanta is trying to build. Overall, you can really see what Atlanta is building as they’ve surrounded Trey Young with great size, great shooting, and just versatile positionless players. Really, this team wants to take the next step and become championship contenders. It’s going to come down to Jaylen Johnson, Dyson Daniels, Anka Congu, and Zachary Reese, respectively. All of these guys were bright spots for the Atlanta Hawks last year. where Jaylen Johnson was showing some great production and value before he got hurt. On Kongu came and ended the season very strongly. Tyson Daniels who’s in the middle showed that he can be a defensive star and he was the runner up and defensive player of the year. And then Zachary Reishes really got to develop and he ended the season very well. These four guys are going to be the main cogs if this team wants to reach the next level and be championship contenders. Question that we always ask here at Catsport Shorts. What’s next? How can this team get better? And quite frankly, we feel like obviously internal development for Reese on Kong Woo and Tyson Daniels offensively. Health will play a big factor in how far this team goes. And the only move we can really see them making is adding championship veterans. And one great example that comes to mind is former Atlanta Hawk Al Horford. Though he’s getting up there in age, Al Horford still brings some great defensive attributes and he’s also a great stretch big and there’s some familiarity obviously because he was originally drafted by this team. Another championship vet that comes to mind is Gary Peyton II. He is a great defender, a great perimeter defender, and he can also get some offense down low. He’s a great cutter, and he’s a great below the rim offensive scorer. The main ads for Atlanta would just be veterans that have championship experience and play elite defense. Overall, if we had to give Atlanta a grade for this off season, we would give them an A. They really built around Trey Young and his strengths and they just built a very great positionless team that can score a lot from all three levels and they can hit a lot of threes in this era of basketball. They’re looking good the next two three years with Kristoff’s Porzingis, but in general they’re just looking great for the future. Thank you for watching and we’ll see you again soon.
