NEW YORK’s Mark Jackson SALTY after Mike Brown Gets KNICKS Head Coaching Job!

NEW YORK’s Mark Jackson SALTY after Mike Brown Gets KNICKS Head Coaching Job!

It’s easy to get down. It’s easy to have doubt and start questioning. You done prayed about it, asked about it, and it didn’t happen. Hello everybody and welcome back to the channel. Well, Mike Brown introduced as the New York Knicks head coach. There’s already been a lot said in regards to um you know, Mike Brown being added. A lot of people um including some Nick fans don’t feel like Tom Thibido, you know, was he they feel like he was unfairly let go after leading the Knicks um you know back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in you know 20 plus almost 25 years. So obviously you know Mike Brown’s hiring comes with a bit of controversy. What was interesting was former uh New York Knicks uh great point guard Mark Jackson put out a a very crypted uh kind of uh post on the same day of the press conference. Now, he doesn’t mention Mike Brown by name. Um but we do know Mark Jackson uh coached in the you know played obviously coached in the NBA. uh he’s, you know, from New York and I’m pretty sure he felt like, you know, if he could come back and coach his Knicks after the way things went in Golden State, the hometown, that would be a nice way to kind of I guess ride off into the sunset in his career. Well, instead, Mike Brown was hired and he actually put up uh this post. I’m going to play that for you. To whom it may concern, blessings, you’re more than qualified. Your resume says you’re more than qualified. Your body of work says you’re more than qualified. So, it’s easy to get depressed. It’s easy to get discouraged. It’s easy to get down. It’s easy to have doubt and start questioning. I don’t know who I’m talking to. You done prayed about it, asked about it, and it didn’t happen. Well, it didn’t happen for a reason. The worst place to be in this world is outside the will of God. Don’t miss your shout. What’s yours is yours. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. That’s enough to run on. I got to go. Blessings. Now, while again, Mark Jackson, he did not mention anything specifically about uh Mike Brown, but it was just ironic. It happened the same day. Um, we know that Mark Jackson after being let go by ESPN, um, being a commentator for them, he actually would love to get back into coaching. He’s done interviews in other cities after, you know, since he’s been let go. So, I it’s it’s just one of those things where it came at a very odd time and there’s no way to not make the correlation whenever he puts this out the day Mike Brown gets hired. So, maybe he felt like instead of uh being negative and and really talking about it, it’s it’s almost like he was coaching up itself looking like he was doing a motivating video that was just kind of general. But just reading between the lines, very very ironic. Now, Mike Brown has already uh started to shake things up. Everybody knows that, you know, Jaylen Brunson being the star of the team, his dad was, you know, Rick Brunson, who actually uh, you know, players started to kind of complain of and so already we’re hearing reports where, you know, he’s been demoted um on the coaching staff. um he is assistant coach um and he’s going to be moved to a lesser role under Mike Brownstein. They said players kind of complain uh you know in private about the influence Rick Brunson had with Tom Thibido even. So with that it’s like Mike Brown has already come in and he’s talking about uh the culture and accountability. Well, I guess some players felt like there was not really that same level of accountability um with Rick Brunson being over his son Jaylen Brunson. Um you know, and that being him being actually hired as part of a kind of a two for one whenever they were able to get signed Jaylen Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks. So, that’s that’s already a huge shakeup right there. And I like that Mike Brown did that quite honestly because it assures the other players like this is the new culture. No, Rick Brunson’s still part of the staff, but we can’t have you neck right next to me. I’m going to hire a second in command, an assistant coach uh that’s going to be uh of of higher rank than you on this particular team, even though your son’s the star. And so I I I put some respect on Mike Brown for that right away. Matter of fact, let me play a clip uh of what Mike Brown had to say about taking over with this uh new culture with the Knicks. You talk about a historic franchise, Madison Square Garden. It’s iconic. are fans. They’re the most knowledgeable and passionate probably in all of sports. There’s a lot of work to be done. We have a outstanding roster. What they did in the playoffs shows their potential. I’ve had great conversations with all of our players and I’m looking forward to growing positive strong relationships with all of them over time. Just kind of what is it for you coming in coming into a team that’s reached the conference finals, the expectations you’re stepping into? Well, you know, there there’s nobody has any bigger expectations first of all than I do. Uh I mean my expectations are high. Um, but I mean this is the mix. I talked about Madison Square Garden be being iconic. I I love and embrace the expectations that come along with it. So, I’m looking forward to it. Kind of after January 1st or so, they were around a little bit offensive. What what did you see from watching them in the second half versus the first half of the year of kind of the stuff that you a little bit offense to get that level where it was best? You know, like I said, you know, I I thought Tom did a great job and the guys did a fantastic job last year, but I’m looking forward. We got, you know, we just added two new additions to the team that are going to bring a a lot of versatility to how we’re going to play. Um, I’m I just can’t wait to get on the court and and start implementing things that we want to do offensively to help us grow and take it to another level. But, uh, uh, you know, we still got some time before we do that. Now, Mike Brown, uh, we saw the job he did in, uh, you know, in Sacramento. Obviously, he he coached LeBron, you know, was amazing in Cleveland. All his stops really, Mike Brown is a a phenomenal coach. Um, nobody’s going to question that. He’s a great leader. So, I I like I said, I reiterate the fact that I appreciate him taking command right away, talking about accountability, talking about accountability of himself, his coaching staff. I think anyone that is a Knicks fan can really get excited now. Um, and Mike Brown, Mike Brown’s culture, he’s a a players coach. I think he’ll make some better decisions as far as lineups than Tom Thibido does, you know, does at times. Kind of wearing his players out um playing them an exorbitant amount of minutes. Um sometimes in games that are kind of decided a little earlier some that’s what he gets some criticism for. It’s like, man, get these guys this, you know, some rest, you know, um you don’t, you know, stretch your bench out a little bit. And I think Mike Brown is a lot better at doing that. But let me know what you guys think, man. Uh, be sure to like, subscribe, hit that notification bell. I’m holl at you guys next time.

  1. The majority of knick fans love Mark Jackson, but the majority of fans are appreciative of Thibs while simultaneously, couldn't stand his minutes distribution for players.
More importantly, plenty of Knicks fans love this move of having a coach that's not so stuck in his way, which is the case for both Thibs and Jackson. No love loss, but you have to change with the times (we played better when we passed the ball vs the two main stars swapping buckets).

  2. Why are they disrespecting this Man ?? Don’t make no sense He really can fukn Coach !! Give this Man a job coaching !!

  3. Everybody stop saying the NBA doesn’t like people of faith. Nobody cares about what somebodies religious beliefs are, it gets to bea problem when you push your beliefs on others. There are also other reasons for MJ being blackballed (I don’t think actually was, it’s just that nobody wants the problems he brings).

  4. Mark Jackson let me ask you one important question as a born again pastor. Are you willing to compromise your eternal values where you gonna live forever at expense of submitting to support lbgt and sinful world blessings ?
You know the day you spoke against the gay lifestyle of Golden Warriors owners gay. relationship the was the day the sinful world galvanized around the nba owners to waged war against your stand against their evil sinful life style.
I wish I have your number and will tell you to use Romans8:18 as your motivation and never looked back .Coach Jackson forget about this fleeting world which will soon past as you can also reflect on 2Peter 3;10-11.

  5. It's obvious that Jackson has been black balled. This wasn't the first time, nor will it be the last time that a person is black balled because of what someone says or who they pissed off.

  6. I am a lifelong Knicks fan..and my team has a long history of not doing the right thing by New York basketball players or fans. Started with the Bernard King drama and eventual release. After tearing up his all.. becoming the first athlete to return successfully from the injury. Giving hopes to athletes from around the world. Then the trades of Mark Jackson and rod Strickland..two of New York’s greatest point guards and players in the first five years of their careers. And the curse continues 🤔🤫 let’s see what the basketball gods have to say.

  7. Rick Brunson is not the problem..!! The Leon Rose, Tom thibodeau and Jalen Rose influence on the team is the real problem.. let’s see how the that changes..!!

  8. Knicks did the right thing when they let go Tom Thibs, he only live one player and that's Jalen Bronson and everyone see that

  9. Mark save it, go tell it on the mountain. You got cursed messing with Reverend Paul P. Martin Esq. Leave that ni&&a alone.

  10. Hands Down Man Down!!! Mark J built the prime GS so hand him his flowers. Mark is that dude. I wish you well bro
