Basketball now vs. 20 years ago π

Ah, perfect. Somebody’s here at the park. Hey, go one v one him. I’ll pick you up in like I don’t know, like 3 hours. All right, buddy. Daddy paid for an individual workout for you. All right, so you make sure you pay attention to that trainer over there cuz this was a lot of money. All right, I got your Power Raid right here. Uh, what shoes you feeling? The red ones. Okay, now look, after this we got to hustle up because we got to get karate class and then after karate we got to get you a swimming lessons and then we got to finish with your lift. Okay, I’m not going to go too far. I’m going be sitting right over there watching the whole time. All right, good luck. Have fun. Hey sir, I heard you guys run that travel team thing. Do you guys have any spots left on your teams? My son would love to try out. Ah, unfortunately sir, we only run one team per year and we try to get some of the best players to play on that team. And your son’s not quite good enough yet, but if he spends all summer working on his game, we’ll have a try out next year. He could potentially make it next year. Okay. Hey, look, we got some work to do if you want to play for these guys. All right. Yeah. Hey, sir. So, this is my son right here. He was just at your guys’ tryyous. Um, I’m wondering if you guys think that you’re going to have any space for my son on your team. Uh, yeah. I mean, if you guys paid and show up for tryyous and you’re willing to pay the team fee, we got three teams for every grade group and they’re all guaranteed at least 10 tournaments per season. So, yeah, we got space for you. Okay, awesome. Um, do you think if I paid you an extra thousand, we could get them on that top team? Uh, yeah, we can make that happen. What was that? Coach yelled at you in front of everybody at practice today? Okay, what were you doing? Being lazy? You better figure it out, man, cuz you’re stuck with them for the next four years. All right, come on. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What’s that, baby? Coach didn’t like a shot you took. That’s it. I’m calling the AD right now and we’re reclassing so we could get one more year cuz this is BS and if the coach isn’t fired by next week, we’re transferring.

This hit sooo hard! Super accurate π
20 years ago! Back then we played basketball all day like it was a full time job.
Even though I am not that great at basketball, and wouldn't have made my AAU team had there not been 3 teams, I wish it was more like it was 20 years ago, it would actually motivate me to grind way harder
Also, for my AAU team, if you made the team once already, you are basically guaranteed a spot on that team next season and they make you go to tryouts for a "Skill Check" it's total BS.
1k likes but only 15 comments!?!? Great vid
I never had neither my dad lives on the other side of the country and I donβt have AAU where I live.
This is more like Rich bs Average
Yea i think the now is based off of new dads cus my dad act like the 20 years ago and honestly im glad he does cus some of the younger dads of the kids on my team do act like that
Why have I done both in the span of 6 months?π
