We have some big news to go over today as NBA insider Brian Winhorse has just dropped a massive Celtics trade update. And folks, you’re going to want to stay tuned to the end of this video because we have some interesting tidbits at the end. And folks, a lot to go go into today. And obviously, the Celtics are at a very interesting point of their off seasonason. It’s an interesting point in general surrounding the NBA. Of course, they made a couple trades already. They got rid of Drew Holiday, got rid of Christophs Porzingis, and within that Drew Holiday trade, they got Anthony Simons back. And of course, they didn’t get their second round picks, which everyone thought they were going to get, but Brian Winhorse has dropped a big report as of, you know, yesterday into this morning. and he said that I have talked to other teams who have who have said that Boston are actively trying to trade Anthony Simons. Whether they can or not is another thing. So for the first time in a while, probably a few days, few weeks, we have some accurate representation surrounding the future of what this team is looking at specifically regarding Anthony Simons. And of course, the initial trade was Drew Holiday for Simons in two seconds. because of a modified physical for Drew Holiday, they decided to just go Anthony Simons for Drew Holiday straight up, which I don’t love, I don’t hate. It is what it is. And of course, with the way that the Celtics are, you know, still you they got out of the second apron, still in the first apron in the luxury tax. They are trying desperately now seemingly to move off of Anthony Simons and there has been some new rumors and reports that are dropping. And of course, the biggest one here from Brian Winhorse revealing that a big move is on the horizon. Now you can see here Celtics reportedly trying to trade recently acquired guard. Now for some context again the quote is that they have talked to several teams and the Celtics are actively trying to trade away Anthony Simons following landing him from the Trailblazers. And of course as we know Simons fits Joe Missoula’s offensive philosophy and you know big-time shooter. I’d be very curious if he does stay which I don’t think is super likely but if he does stay with the Celtics Anthony Simons that is to see how he kind of performs under Joe Mazula because he’s a pending free agent and unrestricted free agent. He’s earning $27.6 $6 million this upcoming year and then of course he’ll be off the Celtics cap it assuming that he doesn’t want to return and I don’t see a huge you know out a likely outcome rather where he returns but again given the Celtics current cap situation moving on from the impending free agent would be a good way to acquire more future assets and save cap space in the process and I think that’s the biggest thing about you know this report from Brian Winhorse is I don’t think there’s a huge scenario where the Celtics benefit from keeping Anthony Simons because even if he goes out and he puts up 24 25 points a game and he takes a big leap with Joe Missoula he’s probably I mean he’s not going to take a discount to remain in Boston and then the question remains okay can you build around Simons Brown and Tatum do you then want to pay Anthony Simons the amount that he’s going to get and then all these different things now of course there is a chance where he you know performs rather well you know stays a decent and then of course they go ahead and extend him after next season for an okay amount but I think the most likely outcome now and probably the best outcome is for Brad Stevens to go ahead move on from Anthony Simons see what’s going to be happening from there and then make your decision on the future of this team which is probably without Simons. Now there is the flip side of it. As we know the Celtics, they don’t have a center at this point aside from, you know, Neimada and Luca Garza. And you look at it here now. Of course, they have Luca Garza on their team. This wasn’t, you know, added to this spreadsheet. But you have Derrick White, Simons, Brown, Niang, you have Pritchard off the bench, Baylor Shyman. Of course, they used their two first round picks on, you know, on the players that they got. However, you can uh things become pretty interesting. And you can see this here surrounding a move they can make to flip Simons for a center that could actually be a better fit long term. Boston Celtics flip Anthony Simons for former all-star and surprisingly logical mock trade. And it goes on to say from Bill Simmons about the Chicago Bulls and I’ll dive into the exact trade in a minute, but regarding the Bulls, he says he doesn’t love a single guy on their roster and obviously the Bulls are actively involved in a lot of trade talks as they always are because their team is in an interesting spot. They got rid of Zack Lavine. I mean they didn’t really get too much back. They haven’t been able to move on from you know guys like Nicole Vuch. we’ll dive into in a minute here. That’s the player. There’s just a lot of question marks surrounding the Boston um well Celtics, but also the Chicago Bulls. So, if you want to give the Celtics, you know, opportunity to acquire a center, you could see how this mock deal looks. And it’s Nicole Vuch and a 2 sec 29 second round pick for Anthony Simons. Now, this one in particular is quite the interesting pick because you’re looking at it from the perspective of the Boston Celtics. Now again, you look at their lineup and keep in mind this, you know, screenshot, this was prior to, you know, the Lucar signing and some other guys like that. But for all intents and purposes, you look at the starting lineup and you put Luca Garza at the center position, whatever you end up doing, it is a interesting, you know, scenario because Luke Cornet signed elsewhere. You know, Al Horford is seemingly going to sign elsewhere. Your starting center right now is Luca Garza isn’t fantastic. Now, if you’re getting back a second round pick and getting Nicole Vuch, things are starting to look a little bit better. And I think if you’re looking at a player that can actually fit this team going forward, Nicole Vuch makes a bit of sense because if you look at it from the bigger perspective, you’re then essentially trading and obviously puts him in an interesting position. But let’s go over a couple things now. Both Simons and Vevich are pending UFAS. They both are pending UFAs. Vuvich owed, I believe, around 21 million. Simons, you know, similar amount. Regardless, you look at the stats of Nicole Vuch here, and I’ll dive into the cons in a minute of this deal, but you look at the stats of Nolvich. 18 points a game, 10 rebounds. Like I would probably prefer at this point the Celtics to go after a center, you know, in a trade for Simon. Like let me let me know down below in the comments section who you would prefer, right? A lineup of Derrick White, you figure out who’s the shooting guard, Jaylen Brown, Gregor, Nang, Nicole Vuvich, or would you rather just give the younger Anthony Simons a chance to play? Because Vuvich is 34 years old. They’re both penning free agents anyway. So you could argue that at this point, you know, the Celtics might be better off just giving Anthony Simons a chance. And that’s kind of like the flip side of this deal. Yes, it’s better positionally if they acquire a center because their center position right now is really really poor, right? Luca Garza and Icada. Vuvich would solve that. Then you kind of have a whole shooting guard. You have some guys you can, you know, put in there. You know, if Sam Hower can, you know, obviously play small ball three, all these different things, right? I think at the end of the day, it’s really going to come down to what Brad Stevens wants. You’re getting a second round pick back in this deal. So, your trade would essentially be Drew Holiday for Nicole Vovvich and a second round pick, which I don’t think is terrible. I I preferred obviously the two second round picks and Anthony Simons. If you think now and there’s also a chance though, you know, unlikely that you, you know, keep Anthony Simons, maybe flip them at the deadline to a team that’s competing. But there’s also a world based on what we’re hearing from Brad Stevens that like they’re trying to compete next season. So, if that’s the case, it’s really going to be up to Brad Stevens to see who he would prefer between the two. I I see it online on Twitter, on Reddit, you know, on the internet. It’s kind of flipped. Some people want to keep Anthony Simons and some people prefer a guy like Nicole Vuchic. The upside with Vuch is lower, right? He’s 34 years old, entering his age 35 season. He’s probably not going to be a part of this team going forward. But if you want just a center and see what happens next year, you know, he could be an interesting option for Simons. He’s probably going to end up leaving if he has a fantastic year anyway, but there is that chance he has a breakout year and he really figures things out under Joe Missoula. So, I think in that regard, I don’t hate keeping Anthony Simons. There’s kind of two ways to go about it here. And at the end of the day, they’re both earning similar amounts. Much a little bit less than Anthony Simons. And we know they’re actively trying to trade him. It might be a package like the one we just showed you. It might be one for again just future assets as the Celtics are diving into and trying to get below the first apron, get out of luxury tax. And that of course is something else whether they want to take on the salary of Veic, which is lower than Simons. I believe VHIC is at 21.4 and Simons at 27.6. So at the end of the day, they’re both pretty solid players. Like we’ve seen Vuch be a beast like four or five years ago. since going over to Chicago hasn’t really been that good. It’s going to be a big question mark going forward. Let me know down below. Do you want to see the Celtics trade Anthony Simons? And would you want to see a move for Nicole Vuchikvich? Things are picking up. We’re going to keep you up to date every step of the way. So, let me know down below what your thoughts are. Thank you guys for watching. Again, do you want Nicolola Vuvich on the Boston Celtics? Cheers.

  1. Vucevic is a double double machine and has been his entire career, he has averaged 18pts 10 rebounds his entire career even last year and can shoot 3's pretty well. He could literally be like a more healthy version of Porzingis as he also plays good defense. I take Vuch over Anfernee at this point, we get production and size at the same time. That's what we really need and what we are missing if Horford leaves.

  2. Vucevic has always been a Celtic, in mentality. I like Drew Peterson, based upon Maine. Coincidentally, they both went to USC. I'd be happy to go in this direction.

  3. Simons is a good player I don't understand the push to get him off the team. They had a opportunity to get plenty of centers and did't do it.
